This is probably my first and last time coming here for the food. It wasn't as appealing as it's advertised. I wanted to check this place out because I read numerous reviews about it and checked all the photos and it looked really good, but seeing really is different than experiencing it for yourself. We started our dinner with the Mozzarella Sticks & Nachos appetizers. Nachos were very greasy, no flavoring, was as if they placed one layer flat of chips and just shredded cheese and added chicken on it and put it in the microwave. No flavor at all. The cheese sticks were as expected, you can't mess up cheese sticks. Then our drinks came in and it was all Iced up to the top and by my second sip, my drink was done. And it was a HUGE glass. I ordered the patty melt and it was all onion, all grease, no flavor. Onion rings were more on the burnt crunchy side, and others in our dinner party ordered the chicken wrap and didn't even finish the first wrap and had a full plate left over. It was not good. And the chicken tenders is a poor excuse. Nasty, store bought and looks more like chicken crumbs. Please upgrade your Menu, hire a new chef, something. And the atmosphere was really sad. On a Friday Nite, you would think it would be more on point. It's too confined, like they tried to cramp as many tables and chairs they could in such a small venue. They should just turn this place into a bar since all they do is recommend Alcohol drinks and their Bar Area is much larger than their dining area. But I don't drink so I can care less for a bar. But for all the Alcoholic Drinkers out there, this is the place for you. read more

We're still talking about this place even though it's been a week since we ate there! The service was amazing. We had one main server but the teamwork from the rest of the staff did not go unnoticed. We started off with the goat cheese and herb dip - AMAZING! For our main course, I had the guacamole burger and my husband had the jalapeno burger. We both agreed they were the best burgers we've had...EVER. Even our 7 year old son finished everything on his plate, which he never does. Our 2 year old had mac n cheese, which I think my husband helped eat most of and said it was delicious. I asked if I could have a side of the horseradish sauce to dip my fries in and it was so, so good. Our server also brought the table a sample of 5 other dipping sauces. We left happy, full and ready to plan our next visit. We're lucky to have friends that live in Lakeland Hills and excited to see there is a location close to us in Lacey. Hop Jacks is delicious. The burgers are great. The beer selection is outstanding and the service is awesome!! I'm a big IPA man so the beer our waitress recommended definitely was right on spot with the kind of beer that I enjoy. I have been going to the Hop Jack's in Bonney Lake when they opened. Returned there often to enjoy a good burger and salad.

The manager Michaela is the best. Our first visit did not turn out so food. But she comped our meal and when we tried again she made sure we were taken care of and everything's was the best. I normally come here and the service is great, but today was my birthday I went here and our "waitress" Lindsey barely was over at our table I was there since 5:50pm till 11pm waited for our tables to be done by 7:15 and got five drinks total and it took like a good 40 min to even have her give one drink at a time and couldn't even get an order because she was hardly over there. First of all her "judgement" was completely off I invited people to my birthday event and was excited and have not seen them for a good five years she thought I had "too much to drink" after 2 drinks in which was like almost two hours I drank both and she was refusing to give me more after that on top of all of this she had an attitude and was extremely bitchy, I will not be returning to your location at all. And part of my party did not leave a tip well now she knows why. Tell your server to get herself in check and to stop being a snobby bitch and having Poor judgement. I'm 24 years old I don't need some rude ass waitress telling me 5 drinks in a five hour period is enough. Very unpleased with my service and visit. The worst experience I've had there and not because of the food or our server. I took my 3 year old on a mommy daughter date, she had to go to the bathroom (our server knew it was just the 2 of us) I took my phone and wallet and left my truck keys on the table while I took her potty. Came out to our table being cleared of our half eaten meals. They offered to replace our appetizer but not our meals and charged me the full ticket. Normally I would ask for the manager, but with my daughter being there I wasn't going to cause a ruckus. read more

This is close to our home and we're glad to have them here. Friendly staff, consistently good and surprisingly creative pub food (the tomato basil grilled cheese is so, SO great if that's your thing). Good prices and happy hour specials, always busy in the evenings but we never have to wait too long. It's just a comfortable place to hang out, with a low-key, kid-friendly crowd and clean facility, they'll turn an out-of-town ballgame on for you. Can't comment on any location other than this one (went to Bonney Lake once, it felt the same) but we appreciate this local chain. read more

First the service is the best so far ,This place is awesome the menu is based on the beers that they carry and they carry a lot of from there local brewers. If one day you do decide to visit make sure that you ask for Brian , Dolly , or Michael the manager they are the best by far also try the fish tacos they are the "BOMB". We love the happy hour menu. You can depend on good meal here - very consistent food. The homemade chicken soup is delicious, but wished it had more veggies. The staff is very friendly. Service can sometimes be slow. Brunch in the weekends is ok, not great, but ok. read more

Today was our second visit to your restaurant in Auburn. Both visits have been outstanding. Today was a high stress day that had me entering the restaurant with a headache. I have visited this Hop Jacks multiple times and have been pleased every time. The service is always efficient and the staff very friendly. I am never disappointed with the food. My husband and I frequent the restaurant once a week to dine in or take out. It is also a great place to go with a group for happy hour as I have done on multiple occasions. I have been to other Hop Jacks locations and actually like this one the best. I have enjoyed everything I have ordered so far and have not been disappointed. Our server was great. We had two small kids and the staff went out of their way to make sure they were taken care of. Special ordered a salad and the kitchen nailed it, very tasty. We've tried this place three times over the last year and each time the service was worse. This last time we had three different servers take our requests, only to have each of them wander off, never to return. As we left we told the man at the front desk exactly why we were leaving. He offered to get the manager, but it was too little, too late. Then he offered to comp our drinks, which we'd never received! Ridiculous. Never again. read more
