Ok so hear me out. I don't really like this specific location of hops n drops. The reason I say that is because it is extremely small inside. They have sectioned off a huge chunk of the restaurant for the bar where minors are not able to go. However, the food saved this place from having a lower review. The food was incredible. I had the Deluxe Burger and it was amazing. The fries are extremely crispy and their house made sauce is delicious. The servers were very helpful, ours in particular was new and not as attentive, but that's ok, she may have been overwhelmed. Overall it is a pretty good place if you want to get some great food but if you do go to this place, I suggest going to the one in Auburn for A+ service and attentiveness. read more

I visited this restaurant with a large group of people. I know it can be hard to accommodate a large group so I called way ahead of time and was given a specific time to show up by the lady I spoke to. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very angry unpleasant hostess, who told us it would be a 45min to 1 hour wait. Needless to say I was pissed! We finally got seated by the same hostess, who handed us a large stack of napkins and told us we could use them to clean of the tables.... Our waitress was fabulous, as was the food. I haven't been back since this happened, but I'm sure we'll try it again because we enjoyed the food and the drinks. read more

Visited on a Saturday night around 915. Not really packed so we were seated quickly. Ordered off the happy hour menu - Fried pickles and sriracha shrimp. Well, let me express my disappointment in even having to write this review.. we waited for a year for this place to open with the excitement of having a place close by of quality. Today was the second time we have been here, the first time was the first day and of course we let time settle before coming back. Except it was worse the second time. We were sat at a dirty table and then asked by the hostess if we wanted her to clean it (we should have left then). Then Susan came to greet the table and take drink orders, we were asked then if we were ready to order which we were not. She brought our drinks and we still asked for a couple minutes... almost 30 mins later, she comes back and starts to grab our menus apologizing she hadn't taken them before. We advised her we were still waiting to order, so she took our order. She had more time with their portable kiosk system then with our order. She then stepped away to finish the order system (turned around and stayed within 5 ft of our table.. when your technological device takes more time than writing down, it is not worth the upgrade. An hour after arriving we flagged over who seemed to be a runner from the kitchen (Susan had not been in sight). We asked for a manager and he introduced himself as one and asked how he can help. We explain our experience and he apologizes for it and offers our meal for free. We never want this outcome, we came to enjoy a meal and have the money to pay for it. We want him to address and make better.. then he brings our food. My SO ordered the chicken fried steak and the gravy had a layered "I've been sitting awhile look" .. sure enough I was able to move my finger across the top and the gravy moved without leaving evidence on my finger. My "extra crispy" English muffin wasn't even toasted and when we had to ask for the jelly, it all came sticky and messy. This is ridiculous Hops n Drops, we expect better but unfortunately for you.. will NOT be back. Perhaps you should provide more training and/or accountability. This place has pretty good food...except for their salads. Do not waste your money on the salads here as they do not live up to the price. The happy hour menu has lots of good options if you're looking for a cheap meal. I highly recommend the morning burger. It's excellent! Also, they have a great breakfast menu on the weekends. The food here is so good! And the service awesome too. Prices are way to high though especially for a lunch date. I ordered fish and chips for $16 and my husband got a $16 burger. We were told it was happy hour so we tried the cheese curds, to die for by the way (yummy!), but horrible happy hour price. My impromptu lunch date during my work hour ended up costing the two of us $50. I was a bit shocked. And that's with a water and a soda. We will go back again but next time more for a evening out. I came here with the fam and we had a very pleasant evening. The service was quick and courteous, and I found the prices reasonable. The kiddos loved getting to choose flavoured lemonades (and I loved no up charge for that!) as part of their meal. I had the California turkey sandwich in a lettuce wrap instead of bread with the house made chips and they were both excellent! The turkey was really packed in there and they didn't skimp on any of the other ingredients either. The docked star is because hubby got the French dip and was completely underwhelmed. The roast beef definitely wasn't piled high as the menu states and he found it rather bland. That won't deter us from coming back another time, and checking out some other menu items! First off the staff is incredible, every time nothing but smiles and compliments. They get really busy so you wouldn't think they would be in great spirits but you'd be wrong. I hear laughing and see food flowing out in waves. They only got one thing wrong on one of my orders in the 15 years I've been eating there, and that was my bacon burger which had no bacon but they gave me a new free one so my puppers got to enjoy my other one!
