I heartily recommend Horizon. We had three companies come inspect the house, and Horizon was the company we felt the most comfortable with. They charged a reasonable price, they (specifically, Uriel) caught things the other two companies didn't catch, and, like one of the other companies, they noted that one area had termites but that they hadn't been around for a long time -- so Uriel recommended just preventative (read: less expensive) treatment for that area. (The third company claimed that termites were active in that area and wanted to charge a lot for treatment.) The next time I have termite issues, I will definitely call Horizon. I needed termite treatment for my parents' and my property. I received quotes from 5 companies, but what really sold me with Horizon was their customer service. Uriel came to inspect both properties. He was prompt, informative, thorough and kind. He provided his personal cell to help address all of my concerns. It was seamless scheduling the treatment and paperwork given Uriel and the office's prompt response. On the day of the treatment, Miguel performed the treatment, and he embodied the same positive characteristics Uriel did as well. The treatment took a couple of hours for each property. He had to drill a few thumb sized holes in the concrete, but did a great job filling it back up. Overall, I had a great experience with Horzion and I would highly recommend them. Had our service today and the Horizon person worked side by side with our construction team to ensure that all areas were treated and paid attention to detail on each and every spot on the house where termites were detected. Called a couple places and their price was competitive, but I especially appreciated the thorough inspection and that they didn't do a hard sell and recommended spot treatment (which is all we needed). The treatment itself was fairly quick (about 3 hours) to treat the impacted spots, and the termite "gunk" has disappeared. They do annual inspections for 5 years, so hopefully those little buggers don't come back anytime soon, but we're at least covered for that amount of time. Highly recommend them. Evidence of termites were found under my house, also some mold, and it was damp and needed a vapor barrier. This was the conclusion of 3 termite companies that were interviewed. I picked Horizon to do the work because Naggar picked up the phone each time I called and was helpful and pleasant. Uriel, who did the initial inspection was informative, Patient ( I ask a lot of questions! ) and very nice without being pushy. There was never a "hard sell". Miguel and Tiago came to do the work. I was scheduled an appointment by Negar (very nice lady!) on Dec 5 at 9 am and I was contacted by the technician Uriel with the status of his arrival which I appreciate so that I can be ready. I had a previous termite company out when I saw three flying termites get into a small area above the "doghouse" (a small enclosure where the meters sit). But the technician (of this other company) stated that he didn't "see any signs of infestation". When I pointed to the dropped long wings, he just said it again. That was three years ago. I recently found bunches of dropped wings around the same area and decided to find a better termite company. After a bit of research (and Angi's list!) Horizon was it. Uriel inspected the area and other areas where he pointed out dropped wings. He identified the type of termites (wet wood termites) and gave me a plan of action. Horizon is a very professional company that does outstanding work. Everyone is polite, communicative and well mannered. I was actually surprised that everyone was so well spoken, well dressed and clean cut lol. Negar answered all my questions through yelp and text prior to scheduling the appointment for inspection. Uriel came out and did a very thorough inspection. I was surprised at how much time he spent inspecting my house, which is an Eichler in Foster City. He showed me where the termites are causing damage, where they entered the house and where they are traveling to. He explained the type of treatment and gave me a few options. I decided to do the whole house treating both drywood and subterranean termites with a 5 year warranty. A few days later Miguel and crew treated my house. They explained the process of what they were going to do and they did the work with care and effectiveness. During the treatment Miguel even went the extra mile and did some preventative. They always used booties when inside the house and they were always respectful treating the house as if it was their own.
