For snacks, we shared: Thai Chicken Katsu - it was nicely breaded and not overly fried with a refreshing side salad Crispy Rice Salad - very flavorful with great textures with the crispy rice Cinco Chuchito - it was good Brussel sprouts - really heavy on seasonings I was not prepared for all the heavy flavors and it wasn't bad but it was a lot. The service was nice. We came here because all of the locations we wanted to try were really booked with long waits. I was surprised there was no wait or not many people here on such a busy night. Glad we got to try it and cross of the list. The décor here is also really interesting with an open kitchen and patio. Also, speaking of open kitchen, there's a 3% charge on the food that's call Kitchen Love. Not sure if that's the standard at restaurants in the area or if it's on the menu but that can definitely rack up with a full dinner with friends. Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. My wife ordered the Beef Bulgogi and the Eggplant. I ordered the Chicken Dumplings and the Garlic Noodle (adding chicken for $2 more). The portions are generous. Light eaters might be able to just order one two dish combo and share. The Beef Bulgogi was good but the veggies looked a bit dehydrated. The Eggplant was just okay. The Chicken Dumplings were very tasty but served cool. I ordered them steamed and expected them to be warm at least. The Garlic Noodles with chicken was the biggest disappointment. To me, and my wife, over cooked with crunchy pieces. The chicken was also over cooked, dry and tough. When our server asked how things were, I mentioned it. He didn't seem surprised. I asked if the noodles were always dry and he said yes. He offered to bring more sauce, which he did. I added it but it didn't make the chicken any better. In the end, I left 90% of it. They only have cans of sodas so no refills but they are attached to a tea house that serves a great selection of teas, bobo, etc. There was some good things but more not, overall, we were disappointed. Honestly, I was a bit surprised they didn't offer to replace my dish or offer a small discount. They could see the pile of food I left. Anyway... It's in a food hall, in case you're not sure where it's at. Parking in LA can be limited. What makes me like the place the most is the brains behind this operation. Braddah Tim is a Hawaii native, so I'm always going to rock with the ohana making a name for themselves on the mainland here. Dude was super chill and welcoming.
