Great place to eat, good food, good service. Nice atmosphere. Home style cooking. Friday night fish feast, from different fish/shrimp platters to all your can eat. I am going to try the fish fry feast this Friday to see if it is as good as they profess to. After all in the Valley of the Sun we tend to seek a touch of our past, good ole Friday Fish Fry. Conveniently located on the northwest corner of Dunlap and 51st Ave. Entrance on the north side of the building. See y'all there Friday... Doc

This is a nondescript, humble restaurant. I ordered to-go and got myself a triple decker sandwich with hash browns and seasoned fries. This cost me $16.44. The sandwich was just absolutely delicious. And the hash brown was nice and crispy (it's the string type of hash brown). The seasoned fries were above average. Overall, a fantastically crafted meal.

Pulling up and the place is named Ollie's on the outside. Walked in and the place was empty. It looks like they took care in painting and having it be clean. We had our pick of tables. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food seems to have been good overall. The biscuits and gravy were not the best the gravy tasted very much like flour. I didn't not care for the type of cheese on the tuna melt it seemed very plasticy. As far as The pancakes with strawberry, he loves the strawberries saying they were really sweet but he said the pancakes lacked flavor. Seemed fluffy but were more dense. I don't eat them so I am no help on that one. Eventually a few more tables did show up. I would go back to try something new.

    Yummy.

And they delivered again the ribs were amazing! Staff is always great. This place is becoming my second home.

Great veggie omelet. Friendly helpful service. Laid back music playing, old favorites. Give them a try.

The music was Bad Bunny themed on this Saturday so we all got our dance on. I enjoyed the huge breakfast burrito, it was full of deliciousness, papas, eggs, pico and Chipotle sauce. My wife enjoyed her waffle with everything in the side and they offered softened butter. The endless mimosas were $25 per person and it was definitely worth it. We requested a watermelon sauce in the side and it was a $1. We all left happy full and with good energy.

A week…read morebefore our trip, I made a reservation for a coworker's going-away dinner while several of us were in town from across the country. Based on the photos online, it looked like the perfect place for our group to gather. I confirmed my reservation through both the email and text reminders. On the day of our reservation, another partner agency happened to be in town and wanted to join us. Since the website wouldn't let me modify the reservation, I called four times after they opened to see if I could add a few more people. Unfortunately, no one ever answered the phone. We decided to arrive early and ask in person. The Service When we arrived, the restaurant was absolutely packed. The hostess told us we were welcome to walk through the bar to see if we could find a table ourselves, but that they were extremely busy and likely wouldn't have anything available. After looking around, we came back and asked if the patio was an option since the misters made it surprisingly comfortable despite the Arizona heat. We were told the patio was for reservations only. When I reminded the hostess that we had a reservation, the explanation suddenly changed to, "We're on an event menu tonight." She handed me the menu while I stood at the host stand, walked away, and never really explained what that meant for our reservation or whether we would actually be seated. When she returned, instead of offering a wait time or another solution, she suggested we try Thirsty Lion down the sidewalk instead. At that point, it became clear that our reservation wasn't going to be honored. Parting Thoughts I completely understand that restaurants get busy, especially during major events. What disappointed me wasn't the crowd--it was having a confirmed reservation, receiving multiple confirmation requests, making several unanswered phone calls beforehand, and ultimately being left without a table or a meaningful explanation.

Today is my mom's birthday, so I wanted to take her somewhere for brunch. I've heard good things…read moreabout Hash Kitchen, so I decided to take her here. I'd say it was a good decision. We both loved the food! Since it was a Sunday, I knew it'd be busy. I figured it'd be a good idea to check whether Hash Kitchen offers a way to join the waitlist online. Luckily, they do! I joined ahead of time and we arrived about 30 minutes later. While there were tons of people waiting for a table outside, our table was ready within minutes of us checking in. We were promptly seated and our waitress did not take long to take our order. I wasn't sure how long the wait would be after ordering, but it was surprisingly quick considering how busy they were. We ordered the Boujee Biscuits to share. Those were delicious! It comes with three kinds of butter, but my favorite was the salted caramel one. We also each ordered the Best F#*%ing Birria Hash and shared a stack of the Buttermilk Pancakes. Everything was so good, but I especially loved the Birria Hash. Once we finished eating, I was able to pay by scanning a QR code on our table, which was really convenient. I can truly say we had a great experience.

My husband and I visited Hash Kitchen on Sunday morning right before 11:30 AM. We were able to join…read morethe waitlist online, but their process is a bit different than what we're used to. Even after joining the waitlist, you still have to check in with the hostess upon arrival, and there may still be an additional wait. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 20-minute wait for a table, or we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar, but honestly, we wish we had waited for a table because the bar area felt a bit tight. The bartenders were very nice, but at times it seemed like they were a bit overwhelmed, as we had to wave them down a few times for assistance. One highlight was the live DJ--the music selection was great and really added to the overall atmosphere. For food, we ordered the Basic AF and the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, the food temperature was disappointing. The waffles were cold, and most of the Basic AF dish was cold as well, except for the eggs. The only item that was warm on my plate was the chicken. This is definitely something that should be improved--breakfast dishes should be served hot and fresh. For drinks, we ordered a Bloody Mary and wanted to add a mini Miller High Life, but they were out of stock, which was disappointing. Instead, we opted for a Corona, which felt overpriced at $7 for a single bottle--especially when it's being used as an add-on. A lower price point would feel more reasonable in that situation. On a positive note, I also ordered the Boozy Bag drink with a watermelon slice, and it was absolutely delicious--definitely a highlight of the visit. The restaurant does offer a good amount of outdoor seating with shade coverings, which is great for avoiding the sun. Inside, especially near the bar, you can hear the music much better, but it's still audible outside depending on where you sit. Our total bill for two came to about $70, so it's something to plan for in terms of pricing. One additional suggestion: we did notice bartenders and staff handling drink garnishes--such as fruit and decorative items like cotton candy--with their bare hands. For hygiene and cleanliness purposes, it would be highly recommended for staff to use gloves or some type of protective covering when preparing drinks, especially since these items go directly into customer beverages. Overall, we enjoy the vibe and energy here, but consistency with food temperature and attentiveness during busy times would really improve the experience. Also, it looks like they offer a rewards program that requires linking a credit card--we're not fully sure how it works, but it might be worth asking about for future visits.
