Worst experience and gel manicure ever. $78 for gel manicure and pedicure. It took over 2 hours and still left with nails looking like I did them at home. Additionally the manager was asleep in a chair with her shoes off, the sink was gurgling and backed up with a bad smell and there was a show on the tv with people robbing each other at gunpoint. This was definitely not the vibe I was going for. They refused to discount or comp anything. DO NOT GO HERE. Go up the road to Soa de Rehoboth. Much better experience and worth paying extra so you could be happy leaving. read more

I've been to this nail salon a few times in the past and had a great experience. This time around I had an experience from hell. The lady who provided my services was dishonest with the salon's price and charged more than what she verbally quoted me and also damaged my nails. She used an electric nail filer and made a hole in the bed of my nail causing hematomas on two others. She covered it up by painting over the damaged nail in a red color so I did not notice until the polish was removed. I did feel extreme pain for three days after my Mani/Pedi services. When I tried to reach management and the owner to rectify the situation of my damaged nails and price gauging I was made to feel like I was lying and was only offered a salon credit instead of a rightful refund even though I sent them proof of the damage. I'm so upset by this experience, imagine spending $160 for a spa gel manicure and pedicure and ending up with such damage to your feet that you're unable to wear nail polish for the next few months. I decided to pursue legal action and file a complaint to the Department of Health and the Association of Nail Salon Owners. Beware Enter at your own risk. read more

1st review I have ever left on anything. First had to ask her to clean my cuticles for a regular gel manicure, and she did the bare minimum. Clear gel is all over my skin, didn't shape them how I asked. Then charged me $20 for my previous gel nails... what? Will never go back. read more

Very good place to go. I've gone here several times for color gel pedicures. The woman that work there are very kind and show great hospitality. They are geared towards making sure you have the best experience. The space is very nicely maintained. The assortment of colors to choose from is very large which i like. The always offer a snack and drink. It's a bit pricey but it's justifiable considering it's the artists hard work your wearing. They put their time and effort into it to ensure your getting top quality. Each time I've gone there I haven't had a single bad thing to say about the place. The ladies at Hot Tip Nails are so sooo kind! I love them. They are super welcoming and always give out free snacks and water, and the place is very well kept and clean. VERY clean. They also are super up to date with the trends (you can be able to do chrome, magnetic nails) and they last FOREVER. I usually come in every 5~ weeks or so and its not because the nail falls off its because my nails need a trim. They keep my nails growing long and very stylish. I highly recommend! I really wanted to like this salon, it is very cute and clean and the ladies who work there are wonderful but the quality is absolute trash. I paid $150 (plus $30 tip) for an acrylic fill with chrome and gel pedi. Little over my price range but willing to pay that if they look great. Well as soon as I got home I realized they were not even at all, my thumb nails were two different lengths and there was a lot of flecks of dust stuck under the chrome (which I paid $20 extra for). Within 4 days one nail had broken and 4 had chipped. I returned and they did re-do them free of charge for me which was much appreciated but less than a week later and 2 more have broken and all of them are chipped. I have had them done less than 2 weeks now with the 2nd time being less than a week ago and now I have to go somewhere else to get them re-done when usually my nails last over 3 weeks with no breaks or chips. I have had $50 manicures last longer and this was double the price. Do not recommend for acrylic or chrome read more

I told her multiple times that she got the wrong color and that she didn't cleaned my nails the right way and disagreed. Then when I told her she cut the wrong shape she completely disagreed. I traveled to New York from Atlanta for a nice staycation. I didn't have any luck with nail technicians from Instagram/online, so I stumbled into the first nail salon I could find. At first, it was very nice, they offered me tea and cookies & sat me down immediately. I wanted a simple acrylic fill in and gel pedicure with pink French tips on both. I like the color but my nails are lumpy and uneven. You can still see gaps from when I had my original set and the French tips are inconsistent. When I went to pay, my original fee was $126 (written by my tech). I was told to wait and then another woman came up and changed my price to $140. I wasn't happy with this, and had planned on tipping despite not being satisfied with my service just for my tech's time. I left an amount first and the second woman tried to bully me into leaving more money, stating my tech had spent 2 hours on my nails & deserved more. All for me to get home and still have calluses on my heels, despite getting a full pedicure with a warm lotion massage. read more

Called ahead and asked if they had time to remove my gel manicure (removal only) they said yes. But once I showed up it was clear they had no time so different people kept coming and taking turns rushing to take off my gel. Once she soaked my nails one of the technicians attempted to scrape of my nails with a metro card. Yes a metro card. Then when she had trouble getting the gel off she then insisted my gel is not "regular" gel therefore will cost double what they quoted me. What was supposed to be a painless process turned into a 40 minutes ordeal. Will never come back again. read more
