I ordered the black bean burger today (I ate one about 2 years ago and remember enjoying it.) It was mushy, and had about 2 tablespoons of a messy ranch, lettuce and tomato dressing. I picked up the order within 15 minutes of ordering online (they don't inform when it's ready.) But the fries and burger were cold. And they don't have curbside pickup like so many restaurants do. You have to go into the bar to pickup. One time, no more. read more

The only reason I gave two stars instead of one was our server was good. The appetizers were ok, but the crab cakes were the worst crab cakes I have ever had. I saw very little crab meat, they were tasteless and just barely warm. Did not want to say anything because everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meal, but once we got outside the restaurant, everyone else voiced their disappointment in their food. The food was really good and the environment/setting are very nice. My only issue is that our server went full ghost after the food arrived with next stop being the bill. This place is gross! Who eats here?? The service was terrible as well. Took our family when it wasn't busy. Our table had no utensils or napkins. Took a long time for drinks. Waitress couldn't remember anything. When we asked for GF/DF she pulled a large yellow paper and couldn't guarantee the food would come without cheese. The salad arrived no cheese and full of green bugs! Yum! The restaurant catch phrase is about food from scratch but it's so mediocre. We stumbled upon here after spending all day at Hershey park. The weather was nice so we dined outside. They have a great patio with some nice views! I opted for the French onion soup which was delicious! I then got the appetizer firecracker shrimp which was sweet/spicy battered shrimp it was good and very filling i couldn't finish it. My 5 year old got the kids chicken tenders and i read on some previous reviews that their kids meals were small his were so big i couldn't have even finished it if i ordered that plate. 3 huge tenders with fries. He was supposed to get ice cream with it but our waitress never mentioned it. That's why I'm giving this place 4 stars is because we had to ask for everything our utensils, napkins, to go box, refill etc. the food was great and the menu reminded me of a mini Cheesecake Factory so many options and almost so many you get overwhelmed at first but the food was pretty good! read more

Great tasting food, slow service. It's worthy of 4 stars because all of the food was flavored well and didn't feel or taste like a tourist trap in Hershey. The chicken nachos had a yummy chipotle flavor served with enough shredded chicken, chips, salsa, cheese, and more for three people to split as an appetizer. The southwest chicken wrap had all chopped pecans, bacon, chicken, cheese, and other ingredients mixed with a delicious ranch style dressing. It's served with chips and salsa or you may choose a different side. The salsa is flavorful! The prices are reasonable and the ambiance feels nicer than expected. Well, the food was ok, mostly, the service was minimal mostly due to the server named Andrew. We were there on a Wed evening at 5.15, so not busy at all. No way would you coax a smile out of that guy. I had salmon, mashed potatoes (good) and green beans (too garlicky), my wife had chicken tenders and fries (good). Drinks took a bit, food didn't take too long. After the meal was over and he wandered around to ask if we wanted a box/check, I mentioned the green beans, which I hadn't' touched. He said, "Oh? Nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Came in for dinner with no reservation and just had to wait about 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She had been working since the restaurant opened at 11 and it was now about 830 in the evening. She had great energy and was very bubbly for someone who had been working so many hours. This was my first time dining at Houlihan's, and I was definitely impressed. It has a beautiful interior with very attentive waitstaff. We were immediately greeted by our waiter with water already in hand, and our drink order came out within 5 minutes, including alcohol. My parents both ordered soups that came out in about 15 minutes. The tomato soup was delicious and topped with pieces of grilled cheese which was an interesting touch. The loaded potato soup was also amazing, seasoned well. About 15 minutes after that we received our dinners. Wow. I had the grilled Korean chicken, which was one of the best dishes I had ever had at a restaurant. It had an amazing combination of flavors, spicy, sweet, salty, meaty, etc., and the chicken was cooked to perfection. I tried sides of the spinach lemon risotto, which was phenomenal, both flavor and and the cook. I also had the seasonal basil pesto brussel sprouts, which were fine, but nothing to get too excited about. My sister had the chicken tenders (mediocre) and French fries (delicious). My dad had the seasonal short rib lasagna that we both agreed is not worth getting again. It didn't really have much flavor, lacked enough meat to actually taste it, and was a very small portion. My mom got the Brentwood sandwich, which wasn't interesting enough for my palate (I like to try interesting and different things I've never tried before), but my mom loved it and said would definitely get it again. Overall, it was a bit pricey, but I believe it is worth it to dine here a few times a year and will return again. read more

I've visited at the Pittsburgh locations in the past and always had a great experience. Tonight was no exception. The Hershey location is about five minutes from the park (next door to the Melt Spa). It has plenty of off street parking right next door. It was extremely busy. I called a head, however they do not take reservations - no problem. We arrived at 8:00pm with a party of 4 and even though the place was super busy we were seated right away. Our server was really great. He went over the menu, made recommendations and helped us find our favorites. We were meeting up with a friend of my mom's so we wanted to eat and chat. By no means did we feel rushed. Our server did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed. The menu is huge! We started with the spinach dip. The dip is so creamy and cheesy. You can have it with chips or pitas. For dinner I had a chicken ceased salad and to drink we split two pitchers of raspberry long islands. The pitchers are only $9.50 and serve three (or 3 1/2) glasses. The food was mid at best. I had Creole Fried Chicken and my wife had the Fish Tacos, while we shared the Firecracker Shrimp as an appetizer. The only good thing we had were the Firecracker Shrimp. Everything else lacked flavor and delivery from what we thought we were about to eat. Also our original waitress was uninterested in us to the point we had two other of her coworkers come bring us utensils and our food. She did refill my Sprite one time I can't deny that. But overall I wouldn't recommend coming here for the pricey bill we had paired with the awful service. Seriously, avoid this place. It took an hour to get our food. They claimed it was because they needed the approval of two managers to make it, because of gluten and dairy sensitivities. When we complained, they claimed it was only 20 minutes. Maybe 20 minutes from the managerial approval? Either way, we got the little human's food first, and for the other kids we said to bring it out with the big humans' food. We figured it would be 10 minutes. Bad idea. The preschooler was completely finished eating before all others got the food. The food was decidedly ok. Nothing special, other than kind of expensive, but that could be that we were in a tourist trap. By the way they advertise gluten sensitivities, however everything shares the same frier, same grill, etc, etc. But seriously, avoid this place if you're in a rush. I'm surprised that I'm leaving a 5 star review for Houlihan's, but this is really a nice place. I've been here three times, and each time has been with a different group of people, who have all given it a great review. First with a potential employer, the second with my fiancee and her friends, and the third with my current boss and co-workers. The service is great here, and the food tastes great. Good prices, nice sized venue, and a calm atmosphere. I'm always surprised by how full it is, yet the wait for a table is almost non-existent. I'm sure I'll be back soon. read more

Stopped in for date night with my husband during restaurant week in Hershey. It was around 6:30-7 and the wait for 2 was 30-40 mins. This is the downside since this place does not take reservations. Walked up to the bar and there were a few seats opened and we just decided to sit there since we wanted to get back to our son. The seats were comfortable and you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of each other. I ordered the Peach Raspberry Sangria and this was delicious! It came with a little extra on the side (which I was grateful since it was $9!) My husband asked for the "tall boy" of beer but they said that corporate no longer allowed them to sell the tall boy but gave him a regular glass that was the same price. It was $4-5 but why would that be considered a "special"? We ordered from the restaurant week menu and shared the Thai wings which were a little smaller than I remembered. I got the 5oz Salmon, mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were delicious!! My husband got the Fish and Chips and the coating on the fish was so nice and crispy. We shared the brownie with ice cream. This was good but it could've been better if the brownie was warmed up. They chopped like payday bars and sprinkled it on top. It was very good! This place is a little further than we normally go for dinner but this is a place we enjoy stopping at. I always try to stop here when in the area. My son and I stopped to have lunch after attending a show across the street. We were given a 20-25 minute wait which was fairly accurate. It was rather busy, but they have a good amount of seating while you wait. The hostesses were super friendly and inviting. Our server was Shelley G. who was an amazing server and I would definitely ask for her again. She was very friendly, got refills quickly, and was very attentive otherwise. She also helped my son who had fallen and bumped his head. She was so sweet to hell him over to me. The food was hot and full of flavor. I definitely suggest getting the Achiote Shrimp Tacos.
