I'm a sucker for a mushroom pizza, so I ordered one with a Caesar salad. Nothing hit the spot for me, for various reasons, all of which are personal preferences. The Caesar dressing was the fishiest I've ever had. Nothing works with that, just not my preference. The pizza was very dark and charred on the bottom, which isn't my thing. I always eat the crust, but couldn't in this case. The dough was paper thin and the cheese coverage was light, leading to half of each slice being dark and crispy with no cheese or toppings. I live nearby and have been ordering from How Ya Dough'n since they opened and mostly I am happy with my pizza. The staff and owner are friendly, parking is easy and the pizza is usually very good. Perhaps because I do order regularly there have been times when the pizza disappoints and that happens anywhere. Since the opening of How Ya Dough'n there have been several other Pizza Places/Restaurants (some high profile) that have opened in East Boca and How Ya Dough'n still is the best. read more

I've want to try How Ya Dough'n. Yesterday was the day. It was totally a unique experience for a "pizza" restaurant. The pizza are unique and they have a new recipe quite often. We had a chopped salad and a Ceasar salad which both were large enough to feed three people.both had fresh ingredients. This is a passion project. The owner & staff work a long day punching out absolutely fresh delicious pizza that is about the best Neapolitan pizza in the area. Thin crusted & freshly topped. It has to be consumed quickly & never boxed. We had 2 of the 12 inch pies for Oscar Sunday & had the OG & the Cremini - I added sausage. Both were delicious. I recommend throwing them in a 350 oven when you get home to Re crisp them up from the box cool down. The Greek salad when thrown into a bowl & mixed with the dressing was spot on. Good Job Guys !! Some of the best wood-fired pizza I've ever had anywhere. The Hot Mozz is perfectly balanced and nice charred edges with super fresh ingredients and a delcious dough base. I'm sad to have to rate this restaurant so low but it really just did not hit the mark with me. Don't get me wrong, the flavors were interesting, specifically the hot mozz which has hot honey on it. But the one thing it lacked... cheese. If your expecting that slice of pizza where you bite into it and you have that longgggg stretch of cheese dripping from the slice and your mouth, this isn't your place. Also I had the pistachio pizza. I can appreciate the creativity however again it was completely covered in nuts and completely laking cheese. I'll mention some pros: the crust was very light. You could eat several slices without feeling STUFFED. Also, despite the toppings it wasn't floppy. Maybe I just didn't try the right two but personally for $55 I don't think I'll be giving it another chance there's just to many other places to try. I have to admit the picture looked like it was going to be amazing!!! But you can tell that the only spot that has cheese is the little white spots. There was no cheese base. read more

Being from NYC, I can tell you that this is the real deal New York style pizza. The dough is made in house and pizza is made fresh right in front of you. I've tried many pies here and the OG (Margarita) is my favorite. The service here is great! Staff are friendly and when I ordered a pie to go, they even brought it out to my car when it was ready. Although the price is a bit higher than the pizza I'm used to in NYC, I havent found another pizza place in the area to even come close to quality and service of How Y'a Dough'N. read more

I walk in and they have Pearl Jam on the radio...this is a very good sign. Another good sign is that they are from Long Island. Everyone knowns that Brooklyn has the best pizza but this will do; yes I said it, that's just a fact. We came in and ordered the OG; seems like that's their plain, standard pie. And we were not disappointed. The crust was thin with a nice bite to it, the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to it, without making the pie soggy and the cheese, while slightly on the salty side was perfectly melted. Overall, the place was very good and I will definitely be returning here. Pizza is one of the few things I miss about home and this joint is helping me acclimate to my new surroundings. read more

I read the reviews on here by chance and thought I gotta try this place so my friend and I went there today and got the lunch special: any 12 inch pizza with a drink. With the terrific help of Dustin (a real sweetly btw) I picked the Hot Mozz, a pie with red sauce, mozzarella, chili peppers, and sopresatta. The amount of each item was perfect. I ordered it well done and it came out just the way I like it. My friend got the pie with pesto, red sauce, and stracciatella, a cheese like buratta so it was really creamy on top. We both loved the crust that looked thick but wasn't and was fluffy and crisp at the same time. The weather was beautiful so we ate outside and it was delightful. Garrett makes the pies and he's so nice too. If you want good pizza you gotta come here. read more
