The two burritos were pricey to begin with. They came out 40% smaller in size of a normal burrito. Yes they were tasty but for two burritos and a drink coming out to $50, and both of us still being hungry afterwards, it was a obviously a disappointment. Was super excited to try the "Pepperdine Burrito" here. I had never had it before. I work across the street & paid online through Postmates. I had the order confirmation number on my phone as I walked over to pick up my order. The woman told me that she didn't have my order & when I showed her the confirmation page she told me I needed the email. I had to walk back to the office to get my computer (was having trouble logging into my email on my phone of course!) I brought my laptop back in with the payment confirmation, estimated time & everything. The woman looked at me like I was trying to steal food or something. She said, "Well your burrito is ready anyway so here" and gave it to me like I hadn't paid for it. Y'all need to figure out how to communicate with Postmates & get it together instead of having your customers jump through hoops to get a burrito that was clearly paid for. read more

1st time I went there it took 3 trips to get my order correct, went there another time and it was okay. This weekend I was served cold rice and cold refried beans . I asked the server if they could put it in the microwave for a few, he said we don't have a microwave. End of story! You'd think that they would offer to replace the cold , not even lukewarm, items for one of their paying guests. That was my expectation! Guess that would have been too much effort! Ordered 4 burritos and it was about 60 bucks. For that price you would expect something authentic and good but that's not what you get. The breakfast burritos are made with 90% egg and little of everything else. After eating one I realized that I could make one at home for way less than 15 dollars. It was bland and a waste of money. Birds own the outside area and it's just not a good environment to eat in. This is definitely one of the Pepperdine hang out spots. read more

My friends always get their quesadillas and nachos because they don't like fish and they keep coming back so I'm sure their Mexican food is great too. My husband and I went out for a quick bite to eat and much to our surprise, we came across this little hidden gem! I ordered the caldo de pollo with a side of rice, and wow! Was I blown away by not only all the organic ingredients, but the amazing taste. My husband had the steak tacos and he couldn't believe how fresh and juicy his tacos were. Alright burrito but the fact that their items are trade marked seriously turns me off. When we were ordering we got interrupted 3 times by customers needing things. The chicken was nearly all dark meat and it was spongy and squeaky (I just got shivers thinking about it). I paid $16 for the burrito and expected it to be awesome for that price. Everything I have gotten here has been great. My favorites are the Pepperdine burrito and the yellowtail burrito. The sushi burritos are a little bit smaller than the regular burritos but they pack a delicious punch. Sometimes the wait can be a little bit longer than I would like but I have gotten used to calling in ahead of time. The new location is nice with an outside patio but I kind of preferred the old location across the street. Either way the food is just as delicious and I enjoy coming back here. read more

I had the World's Best Lobster Burrito. It was really good. Simple ingredients...Rice, lettuce, avocado and lobster....wrapped in a blanket of love that keeps all the ingredients inside. They serve it with a semi spicy sauce that compliments it VERY well. So good...on the very expensive side but it's lobster so totally acceptable. We stopped in the newly opened Howdy's today (not new, but new to this location in the Whole Foods market mall) to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful Malibu weekend weather. Multiple variations of burrito options but we went light today and enjoyed the Tuna Sushi Burrito & Lobster Burrito (served w/ spicy mayo sauce, soy sauce, pickled ginger, & wasabi. YUMMMMM. We got the Pepperdine burrito with steak, my boyfriend got w/ chicken, and they were sooooooo good. Ingredients were fresh and flavors were perfectly balanced. If you like burritos, you can't go wrong with this. It's classic. It was the perfect portion size too. Not only that but everyone working there was really friendly and service was extremely quick!
