I've been here about 5 times. I always get the sushi burritos. I love them ! However, I went with my Beau yesterday and he ordered an ice tea + chips. These are items I have yet to order. I was blown away that for almost 7. For the ice tea that there are no refills + when you order chips you pay extra for salsa that come in these super small side cups. Ice tea is the most inexpensive item + to not just include the salsa is really in my opinion taking advantage. There is no excuse Howdys can give me. My mother and I stumbled across Howdy's while searching for a place to grab lunch while on our drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. We decided to stop in and give Howdy's a try, and we were both extremely happy that we did! I had the Steak and Eggs Burrito and the chips and salsa and they were delicious. The chips especially were made just the way I liked them too, with the perfect amount of salt in them which complimented the salsa perfectly. I especially liked how much salsa I got, the container was huge and very generous! I'm definitely planning on making this a regular stop whenever I come up or down the PCH! read more

We have been coming here every weekend for the last month, this past weekend we sat at a table (five of us), one of the servers told us we can't move extra chairs to our table so we put the two chairs back that we had moved over. As we started to eat, one of the employees came to us and said we need to get out of his restaurant because he does not want to get shut down because of us being to many people at the table. He didn't give us an option to split up he just said get out of my restaurant ( even though the five of us just bought $300 worth of food ) We were all very confused. This place is a hard pass. Understandable that Covid has affected everyone's prices, however, for what you get here it's just not worth it. The flavors are underwhelming and it took ages to get a simple burrito, even longer just to get a glass of water. The service here is poor and they add tax to your tip. Got ripped off. I hadn't been to the new location until recently and now have been a handful of times. The breakfast burrito is more expensive than Country Kitchen but I think it's pretty equivalently good. These guys have much more options. I like that they have spinach and therefore it feels healthier than country kitchen. I've tried the lobster wrap and it is quite good, but a tad pricey. Came here on a Saturday during lunch time and though the parking lot was busy we were able to find parking quickly. Upon entry, the staff were friendly and inviting. I just popped in to order out and got the sushi burrito. The sushi burrito consisted of tempura shrimp,imitation crab, avocado and lettuce wrapped in a soy wrapper. Unlike some Mexican restaurants that serves up jumbo burritos, this one is pretty much the perfect size for one person. It tasted fresh and light. The tempura shrimp was amazing- perfectly salty-sweet that meshed well with the creamy imitation crab and rice. Would highly recommend! read more

My husband and I really enjoyed the salmon burrito and miso salmon dinner, as the salmon was incredibly moist. The nachos our kids had were okay as the cheese hardened quickly and made it difficult to eat. The Jamaica/hibiscus aqua fresca was amazing, with just the right amount of sweetness. Our son enjoyed his horchata and the margarita was also tasty. They don't skimp on the alcohol and the service is excellent.
