The line isn't as bad as it is in LA. It goes by pretty quickly. I think for as much as they charge in general, the sauces should be free unless people are asking for hella sauces. The chicken is juicy I'll give them that. The seasoning is good if you're a seasoning wing type of person versus a sticky sauce type. That's where the divide is. Would I get it again, probably not but I'm glad I tried it. This is located in the Venetian food hall and they're open until midnight - I think. Typical food court vibes where you struggle finding a place to sit.
My partner and I split a 3-piece tender and ordered fries and one of the sauces. It was our first time, so got one mild and 2 medium. The chicken is excellent. The meat is really moist and juicy and the thin coating, both mild and medium, were terrific. The fries were nice and crunchy on the outside and tender in the inside. The counter staff were friendly and helpful as I explained that it was our first time. The sauce doesn't do much for me, but it does have flavor. I've been to chicken places where the sauce is largely mayonnaise. This is better than that. I prefer Raisin' Canes sauce. It's in a food court near the casino. Can't say much about the atmosphere other than it is a decent food court.
(3.5/5) Despite being incredibly full from lunch, I trekked to Caesars food hall with a few friends to try their favourite french fry place - Howlin' Ray's. The branding is really endearing and I love that their french fry bag says "Have a hot day". I will say the french fries were definitely some of the crispiest and best seasoned fries I've ever had. The chicken tenders were spicy despite having chosen mild and very crispy on the outside, but moist on the inside. Honestly, there isn't much competition on my end especially coming from Canada where true Southern flavours don't have much presence. Despite not feeling hungry at all, I enjoyed the few bites I had and would love to return next time and try it with a full appetite.
One of my favorite chicken spots has a location in Vegas??? Absolutely sold. The line was a bit long but their service was fantastic and fast. I love the chicken sandos, hopefully you will too! They will warn you about the spice level and they are not joking! The first time I had X-Hot I was sweating profusely, but it was so good I had to come back everytime I see it around. If you're a hot chicken lover, do yourself a favor and grab one of these immediately!
Aahhhhh woooooo! *I'm howlin'* LOL The heat is ON! Wow. So let me tell you that the 1st time I was here, I ordered THE SANDO and opted for the MEDIUM which was described as "feel the burn." I can take heat and said next time, I'll order the next level up. For me, the sando was cool but I'll be choosing the TENDERS from now on. The 2nd time (2 days later), I ordered the TENDERS and whoa baby, those tendies are juicy and big! Easily shareable between 2 people. I leveled it up and opted for the HOT which is "burn, baby, burn"! And wow I felt the burn but IT WAS SO GOOD! You can cool it down by dipping it in their TENNESSEE TANG which is their version of a ranch and ooooohhhh it's so good! Not your average ranch! Get yourself 2 of them so you can also dip the seasoned SHAKE FRIES in it. I'm telling you, this all HIT! Each time, there was not much of a wait for service or food and the ladies who took my order were very nice.
This place sits in a the food court corner on the casino floor. I ordered a Sando and an order of their fries. The wait felt a bit long for a chicken sandwich, felt around ~20 minutes. But the wait was completely worth it. This has to be the absolute best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life, it puts all the others I've had to shame. Very generous size of fried chicken, cooked to perfection and drizzled with their sauce, covered in coleslaw and pickles. Every bite was amazing. The wrapper around the burger was also tightly wrapped, so whenever I took a bite the contents would never spill out the other side. Their fries on the other hand are very spice heavy, definitely needs to be dipped in their signature sauce to make it more bearable, but they are quite good and crispy.
Howlin' Ray's never disappoints. This is my second time visiting one of their locations, and the food tastes just as good as the original LA spot. The chicken is packed with flavor and perfectly crispy. The best part about this location is that there's usually no long line. The menu here is pretty simple -- just wings, sandwiches, and tenders. I went with the three-piece wings combo in mild heat. It comes with a slice of bread and pickles. The wings were juicy, crispy, and flavorful, and the mild spice level was perfect for me.
It was my first time having Howlin Rays and it was surprisingly good. I got the 3 jumbo wings with 2 country (no spice) and a mild. The wings were good, it wasn't dry and was flavorful. I enjoyed it so much that I came back again the second time for the wings. I would recommend mild since it wasn't that spicy for those who can't handle spice.
I remember way back when I used to eat at Howlin' Ray's in Chinatown in Downtown Los Angeles. There was always a line wrapped around the plaza. It was like a line at Disneyland. It was absolutely well-worth the wait though. I happened to be staying at The Venetian and after I checked in and headed to my room, I looked at their food court and saw Howlin' Ray's in big letters. It caught my attention right away. I was so thrilled and knew I had to add it to my list of places to eat while I was in Vegas. We went right after we checked out of our hotel. Let me tell you... it was just as good and juicy as I remembered. Their sandwich is a standout for a reason. It's full of flavor, so moist, and had just a brush of heat. My kids are picky eaters and they ate all of the fries and tenders. Of course I got country - no heat for them. The drinks were refreshing, too. I love a good sweetened Peach Tea.
I've been to the OG one (LA Chinatown). Quality is comparable, without the long waits. Pros: line was 5 min long, food took another 5 minutes. Located inside Venetian in the food courts. Cons: 15-40% upcharge compared to the equivalent menu at this exact moment in LA Chinatown. With food quality comparable to LA, you are paying a bit of premium for convenience and time savings. A bit hard to find (which is partly why the lines are shorter) We got the sando and a tender, with a side of comeback sauce. Already $23, which is about 1.5x what I remembered paying (inflation adjusted for), and the portions are smaller, but I don't need to wait 2 hrs physically in line. I value my time more than saving $10 for 2 hrs line, so it evens out. I love how juicy the chicken is, and also the flavor - I have been to a bunch of hot chicken places in Nashville, and Howlin' Rays does it better still.
Omg I've been wanting to try Howlin Rays for the longest time and I finally got to try! This my favorite meal in Vegas literally. Amazing that it's conveniently located inside Venetian, where we were staying at. I tried the tenders, chicken, sandwich and wings. To rank them in order it would be the wings, sandwich, tenders. But they're all so good. It is a bit spicy even as mild, but not overly spicy where you can't finish. I will be CRAVING this until I can get it again
I remember waiting an hour at the original Howlin Rays in LA, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out this location opened in the Venetian food court. The wait is MUCH shorter here and the chicken just as good. The hot chicken sandwich here was massive and we were able to share between two people. As an east-coaster who is quite limited to a variety of regional restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised to find Howlin' Ray's located in the Via Via Food Hall in the Venetian! I've watched enough content creators to know what to get -- and most importantly "how" to get. NOTE: Prices will be higher as this is Vegas after all. For my meal I ordered several items: the Sando which came in at a whopping $17. I accompanied it with an order of shake fries ($6), a solo wing ($5), comeback sauce ($1) and a surprisingly lovely peach tea ($6). The total with tax came to about $37 and some change. (Oh, Vegas...) Spice level: Everything in medium. I have to say -- I enjoyed the entire meal. Of all the things I ordered, the sando was the clear winner. I was surprised how much I enjoyed all the flavors working together -- coleslaw, pickles, comeback sauce and the medium spice. The filet was about the size of a Popeyes chicken sandwich filet, nothing crazy. The wing was a bit disappointing. It had the same spice, but was cool to the touch. For a hot chicken spot, I was expecting the hot chicken to outshine the sandwich-- that was NOT the case. For this, I deduct one star. The fries were pleasantly seasoned, it was spiced but not exactly Cajun. The peach tea was the other winner of the evening, as it tasted like real BREWED southern sweet tea! I SEE YOU, Howlin' Ray's! This is one of those hype places. It's not worth the hype. The fries were seasoned but WOW were they SALTY! The chicken sandwich was pretty standard. It lacked crisp and heat, and tasted artificial. Definitely pass. 4/10. read more

It took me 10 plus years to finally get to eat at Howlin Ray's cuz I never was able to wait in line in Los Angeles to try it. Love that the line was 5 minutes long. The menu is simple and I was so scared of burning my tongue, I ordered the chicken strips in mild. It barely had any flavor...I think they might have messed it up. The obvious winner was the medium heat chicken. It was seasoned PERFECTLY without being hot at all. Fries- 2/5 looked way better than it tasted Chicken strips mild- 2/5 Chicken strips medium- 5/5 Chicken sandwich medium- 5/5 Make sure you bring your water bottle or soda cuz a can of soda will cost you $5 and they don't give out any free tap water. I'll be back to get more of the medium flavored chicken strips! read more
Its been a while since I've been to the HR in LA Chinatown. I hardly go to DTLA any longer, so the Chinatown location is too far. I stayed at the Palazzo on a recent trip to Vegas, and made sure I hit the HR in Via Via Food Hall. The 3 wing meal did not disappoint. The chicken was plump, and expertly seasoned with the dusting and sauce. The pickles & white bread contrasted nicely with the savory & spicy chicken. The food hall has plenty of room to spread out and share a meal. The food takes a while so be patient. I am glad the Vegas location is as good as the LA location. I wish they would open a location in OC. read more

I visited the Las Vegas food court location and found it to be just okay. The chicken was cooked well, but the breading tasted noticeably different from the LA locations. It seemed lighter and lacked some of the flavor and crunch that made me a fan of the original. The menu is also limited since it's located in a food court, so there are fewer options to choose from. It's a convenient spot if you're staying at the Venetian, but it didn't quite live up to the Howlin' Ray's experience I've had in Los Angeles. FYI - The chicken wing is bigger than LA. read more

This has been my favorite hot chicken joint since the original LA location first blew up.. I used to have to wait hours. This Vegas spot in the Via Via Food Hall is amazing because the service is so fast. Chicken Sandwich: Still the gold standard. I highly recommend the medium spice level; it gives you the perfect burn while still letting you taste the actual flavor of the chicken and comeback sauce. Chicken Tenders: These are jumbo-sized and come with a slice of bread, which is perfect if you want to make a second mini-sandwich. The chicken is SO juicy. Shake Fries: Crispy, well-seasoned, and the perfect complement to the heat. If you're a fan of the LA original but hate the lines, this is a must-visit. read more
Located inside the casino, it wasn't a location I was expecting. However, the food makes up for it. We got the wings and banana pudding and it was all great. Almost no line when I went around 2 PM! The employees were sweet and friendly. I did not like the consistent cigarette smell (from the casino) but I know that's outside of Howlins hands. I would skip on the banana pudding because it tasted a bit too... artificial. The employee at the register did confirm they were trying to get the whole chicken like they do in LA so that's exciting to look forward to! read more
Checked out the food court on the casino floor of the Venetian called the Via Via Foid Court. Of all the many options, Howling Ray's sounded the best so we walked up to order. Moniqa helped us out with a medium spicy chicken sandwich and an unsweetened peach ice tea. She told us the order would be ready in 6 minutes! Plenty of seating, decently comfortable. The hit chicken sandwich was the BEST! Piping hot! Crispy! Well seasoned!! Spicy enough at medium to leave a little fiery taste behind after each bite! The unsweetened peach ice tea was the perfect palate cleanser so you could appreciate each new bite afresh! This food court is about convenience and quickness so the ambience isn't the main point--but it is clean, close proximity to a casino restroom, and exactly what we were looking for tonight. It's been a while since I was here last. Consistency is so important and today this chicken sandwich tastes just like I remember loaded with flavor from the sauce pickles & slaw. Located in the Venetian Food Court. Guys chicken has nothing even close to Howlin Rays this is a great quick bite. read more
Went for lunch...this place is no joke... we can handle heat...this just kicked our butts! We got 3 piece tenders ... pretty big at a level 3 out of 5,and some fries... We wept through the whole lunch...so if you want heat and Nashville style very hot chicken, this is the place for you! read more
Fried Chicken sandwich and tender place from So Cal made its way to Vegas in the Venetian! Doesn't have the long lines like the one from So Cal but still tasty. Crispy and juicy pieces with a kick depending on your spice level. Got the Sando, tenders, and fries. I got medium spice for the tenders and it had a slight kick but not too spicy. Good if you want to taste flavors and spice. The sando had was solid and the coleslaw was slightly sweet to balance the spicy chicken. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. In the food court of the Venetian. Plenty of seatings. read more

Howlin' Ray's located inside the Venetian is a famous fried chicken spot in Los Angeles and I guess it has made its way to Vegas. I ordered the three winds in light spicy but it was still quite salty for some reason. There was a little like but it wasn't bad at all. Located in the Venetian side food court you won't miss it. I wanted to try their fried pickles but they were sold out. read more

So I was hesitant to get hot chicken just because I don't like things too spicy. Since I'm a wimp, I got the mild chicken sando. The breading over the chicken was very tasty and crunchy and the chicken was so juicy inside. It was just a great sandwich. Added the fries and it was a perfect meal. This location is in the Venetian casino in their food hall which is called the Via via food hall. read more
Our Howlin' Ray's order HIT THE SPOT after watching a show at the Palazzo. For whatever reason I have not been to the LA area locations, but I have had Howlin' Ray's in the past. This location is in the Via Via Food Hall. So seating is easy to find. There wasn't a line at the time. The staff were very nice and efficient. To note, you can charge your order to the room if you are staying at the property. We ordered the The Sando, the chicken wings, fries and an order of comeback sauce. My wife said the 3 wings were were flavorful and juicy. We really enjoyed the crispiness and seasoning of their crinkle cut fries. As for the The Sando, I got it with Medium Spice and the Sando was extremely good. Each bite was bursting with flavor. Their sauce, the pickles and the moistness of the chicken breast made it a great Sando. I love when a restaurant can deliver on the Hype and Howlin' Ray's certainly did. 5/5 for me! Inside a food court. This place definitely had the longest line lol. The chicken tenders are really good though so I can see why! I got the mild lol. My hubby got the hottest one and they warned us at every step that it was very hot. And they give you a glove to eat it and warn you not to touch your eye or else you can get hospitalized!!! that's crazy. Well anyways he said it was hot and he could only eat one. And that was a struggle Lolol. The fries are also really tasty . Yummy spot for some fried chicken!!! read more
I got the wings with medium sauce and they were amazing. I accidentally ordered medium (meant to get mild), but the flavor was so good I didn't even mind the burn. The sauce is tasty, the wings are good quality, and they're a decent size too. We sat in the food court area, which was nice because everyone in our party could grab food from different spots. It makes it super convenient and gives families more options. Definitely will be back. Everything was very good. read more
This is a really fun food hall experience and the chicken is fantastic. I love spicy chicken so I thought I'd try the hot but the server let me know that their medium is more like other people's hot. So I took their cue and was glad I didn't go hotter, it was the perfect spicy level, crispy chicken and the pickles have a great vinegar, crunch ratio. I got one single tender which is served with a slice of bread plus the Nashville tang sauce is such a good homemade ranch with a little kick. I wanted to try a few things in the food ball so this was the perfect serving size. read more
On my second visit I order the wings with I believe the medium level of hot. They were really good and I've been thinking of them ever since. The order came with three, but two were enough for me (they are very big). I'd definitely come back here. read more

Amazing chicken! It was so juicy with a light breading, made fresh to order. I ordered one medium tender and one hot tender. Sooooo spicy! The medium was hotter than I expected and the hot was 'burn your lips' hot! So delicious! read more
Howling Ray's have such good chicken . Usual You have to wait long lines in Los Angles, but this location is quick and efficient. I go with only the mild level, since I like their spicy, but I also like to taste the moist chicken tenders. It's located in the Venetian side of the casino floor. There's plenty of seats in the area, staff is friendly as well. Solid recommendation read more
Im a huge fan of Howlin Rays and I used to wait multiple hours in line for the one in Los Angeles. After seeing they had a Howlin Rays in Las Vegas I had to try it. I was initially worried that the flavor was not going to be maintained at the new store but there was honestly nothing to worry about. This location was as good as the one in LA and I was so satisfied at the end of my meal. I ordered a sando, a tender and a wing all medium spice and they were all made to perfection. The chicken is as tender as I remember it was from my last visit at Howlin Rays. The flavors and attention to detail on their spices and preparation for their chicken is miles better than their closest competitor. The fries are cooked perfectly and seasoned with their hot chicken spices and is something you should not pass on. They also have canned sweet tea and non sweet tea. I got non sweetened one which was great with the food. The service and staff are all friendly and the restaurant itself has the classic Howlin Rays iconic feel. The restaurant is located in a small food court in the Venetian near the casino by the North Suites. Plenty of seating. If anyone is in Vegas I would 100% try these guys out. read more

I was so excited when I saw a Howlin Rays here in Vegas since I've heard so much about the one in Los Angeles! The location of it can be difficult to find since it's in the Venetian but if it helps, it's in the food court area on the casino level. There was no line (what???) on a Sunday afternoon! I order the chicken tenders with the fries and the workers themselves were so patient in helping us pick out what we wanted to eat. Lots of places to sit in the food court. This is the best hot chicken place in Vegas/strip area! The seasoning and the flavors came together beautifully. I was so full but kept wanting to eat. I will definitely be back! read more
