Ordered through UberEats and it was packaged wonderfully and tasted amazing. The food was still warm and the food was really high quality which surprised me. Their Massaman Curry was one of the most flavorful I've had and their Roti bread was amazing (I recommend their dish where they include both as one meal!) I got a couple Pork Dumplings as well since their prices were good which were really good as well. One of my go-to thai spots! but I prefer dining in as the quality of their take-out doesn't nearly do their food much justice.

Entered a no-AC-feeling dining area on a hot July day - but it wasn't baking hot.. perused menu - went with chicken n' veggies green curry -- $12.99 better than $19.99 salmon.. the thai iced tea was tasty, but served in a jelly jar.. real flowers on the table, tucked in a lil' vase, next to a fake candle.. the waitress's ipad bleeped and booped loudly with notifications.. out came the food.. the 'wow factor' not really there.. could use a garnish.. ingredients seemed a bit tired -- maybe were in fridge a couple days.. the bowl did have variety going for it - happy to see some yellow squash in there.. the dish grew on me thru the journey - finished the bowl.. and asked for a piña colada.. waitress informed me that they are waiting for a license to serve alcohol.. I mentioned that i was here about a month ago and it was the same story.. i jotted a nice tip and the waitress suggested i stop back next month to check in on the situation, which gave me a hearty laugh. Hmm let's start at the beginning. I ordered my food at 10:35pm, and my food arrived at 12:15am. Honestly lost my appetite but I showered, calmed down a bit, and my appetite returned. 1st spoon in my Pineapple Fried rice all was forgiven... it was soo flavorful and balanced.. half way through my bowl I realized I hadn't tasted the star of the rice.. The Pineapple!!! I decided to shift the rice around to see if maybe the Pineapple was at the bottom, no luck. Immediately I was pissed Again. Ordered curry pineapple fried rice with tofu, veg, shrimp, and the roti. The vegetables in the rice were raw-- carrots were tough and rubbery. The tofu was overdone and also tough. No flavor in the rice-- and no soy sauce to help. The roti sauce was good, but the roti itself was unbelievably greasy. I don't think I can order from here again. My first time ordering here. I wanted to support local restaurants during this pandemic and I'm glad I've tried this place. Delivery was fast and food arrived hot. The food was so good and it exceeded my expectations so I had to write my first yelp review. I've been searching for tasty and spicy Pad Kee Mao (Drunken noodles) for the past 3.5 years since I've moved here from CA. I've ate at so many Thai restaurants all over Manhattan and this place will be one of my go to. I love spicy food so I requested Extra Thai Spicy and it was really spicy. Many people will not be able to handle that spice level but I enjoyed it. It's as spicy as Samyang Spicy Chicken x2 instant noodles. The red curry with chicken was really good too. Hub Thai is two blocks from our apartment, so we go there frequently. The have a good lunch special until 4:15pm, which is a free appetizer with an entree on the back of the menu. The service is attentive during the lunchtime hours. I usually order the pineapple fried rice with veggies and R has rotated through a few of their other items. He says the Pad Thai is good, basil fried rice was spicy, the cashew fried rice was good too. Drunken noodle is his favorite though. R always gets the Tom Yum soup which is tasty and I always get the spring rolls. The spring rolls are fried though, not fresh. Their jasmine tea is super yummy and they have Chang beer for $5! read more

On a lazy and rainy morning, I felt like I needed some thing comforting and spicy. So I went to Hub Thai to get my fix. I went around 12:30pm on Sunday for a to-go. The waitress who helped was so so nice - I think her name was Nana. Honestly, the most polite and smiley service I've received ever for such a neighborhood restaurant. 13/10. I waited like 10 minutes and got myself really hot food, the lunch special: Chicken Drunken Noodle with Tom Ka soup ($7.99). First, Tom Ka Soup aka smooth coconut soup. If I had a Thai grandma this is what she would feed me when I was feeling sad. She would give me an equally warm hug, feed me this magical soup, and remind me that the world is full of wonderful things. If I could take a bath in this silky coconutness, I would come out as a plump baby. It has a hint of sour and a lot of flavor. When I first got my hot plate of Drunken Noodle with Chicken, I could imagine an animated trail of the smell of chili snaking its way in to my nostrils. The animated trail pulled on my hair and gave me goosebumps, signaling incredible flavor in my future. I'd build a house in Thailand just to master the balance of heat and sweet. So apparently I saved my first review on Yelp for this place. I love this place so much. I've only been here for lunch so far, but the lunch deal has me hooked. For 8 bucks you get an appetizer and an entree, and you get to sit and enjoy the cute interior (sometimes when I get the bill I forget I'm in New York, land of $20 sandwiches). BYOB but they also sell beer, wine, and cocktails so your brunch/lunch/dinner is complete??? Also, the people who work there are really sweet. The TV plays random stuff from college football to movies. I love it all. Tom kha soup is a favorite; on the lemony side, but that's the best part for me. All the curries are great, especially the green. I found it not too rich for a coconut-based curry but still packed with flavor. The pad thai is also good, and the noodles actually hold flavor, something I feel like a lot of places miss. Most importantly, I left full. Much appreciated. Ok this will be one of the top Thai for now in Manhattan. Walking on Avenue A walked in to this place. Fist thing that struck me was Thai music I was like :-) wow. Great way of getting guest in. The food :-) wow definitely top. Got my usual Tom Yum, Tom Ka soup made with coconut Chicken sate, Pad Thai beef and Penang curry beef. Well well not sure how to start but the flavors where very very good ;) even amazing I may say. I was glad that the flavors did not disappoint :) all of the dishes had their unique flavor. Very good Place.. Outstanding Service, Hub Thai has reasonable price like the sake is around 6 dollars for the drinks. But some of the plates could be more expensive and cant hurt the wallet . I often get it the cold sake but they have different options to order cold or hot .The salmon Teriyaki is good and it comes in big potions. The place is kind of small but very clean. I never have written a review on yelp but i feel compelled to do so after my terrible experience at this so called establishment...I'll get straight to the point, I randomly walked in for dinner and immediately felt the overwhelming heat due to no air conditioning in the middle of a heatwave. I still decided to dine here since i was in the mood for thai food, very bad decision. The food was ok but the real issue was when the bill came and the rude waitress complained to me about the amount i gave her for a tip which in my opinion was more than generous for such lousy service. DISCRIMINATION if i had to pick a word to describe the reasoning behind why she would do that. SO SO GOOD. Yes I have had bad dishes here but I can't take off any stars and I'll tell you why. I eat here probably once every 2 weeks and honestly it is on point almost every time. If a restaurant is good 90% of the time it gets 5 stars. I think it's one of the best drunken noodles in the city maybe in the whole north east. The green curry is really yummy and so is the red curry. The pad thai is good too. Sometimes I feel like the chef working decides whether it's going to be spectacular or not but honestly I don't understand the extreme negative reviews. Went here with a friend and we were pretty hungry so we decided to split a few dishes: Thai dumplings (3 stars): There were six total and they were decent, but I felt like the garlic on top was a little too heavy. Green curry (4 stars): I actually really loved the curry itself as it had great flavor and just the right amount of spice, but I felt that the veggies and chicken weren't as bountiful as I would have hoped. Chicken pad thai (3 stars): This dish was pretty average overall. The flavor was fine, but nothing that really warranted reordering. Bye Bye Hub Thai This is a hard review for me to write. I love the food here, and the prices are more than reasonable. The fact that I live next door makes it a wonderfully convenient location. And every month, when the post office erroneously delivers a huge box of their restaurant supplies to my apartment lobby, I'll dutifully bring it over to them. But after tonight, I don't think I'll be patronizing Hub Thai anymore - or bringing them their errant packages. Here's what happened. I placed my pickup order on Seamless for my "usual": two orders of Penang curry, which comes with jasmine rice, and two sides of steamed vegetables for an additional $3.50 each. A new employee greeted me warmly when I picked up the food. Once I got back to my apartment, I saw that there was no rice included with my order. I took the receipt back to the restaurant, and asked for the two mini containers of rice that I usually get with my order. The new employee surprised me by saying that I couldn't have it. When I asked why, she explained that since my order said "sub steamed veggies" for both orders of the curry, I was not to be offered rice. Annoyed but still calm, I explained that since the dish comes with rice and I actually paid an additional $3.50 for each order of steamed vegetables, I should be allowed to have the rice. I added that I order from the restaurant twice weekly, and that I have always gotten rice with my orders in the past. She went back to the kitchen, reemerged, and told me that she would make an exception and give me the rice this time - but that she really shouldn't. Still calm but losing my sense of humor, I repeated that I had paid extra for the sides of steamed veggies - so why would I not be allowed to have the rice that comes with the curry anyway? The employee wouldn't back down. Now thoroughly annoyed and running late, I asked her if I could please just have the rice. She wouldn't give it to me. I asked again. Another employee emerged from the kitchen and handed me the rice. Since there weren't any other diners in the restaurant, I announced that they had just lost a regular customer over two micro pails of rice - which probably only cost the restaurant around five cents each. To conclude, I'll miss Hub Thai's food - but not the service. read more
