Parking as others said is packed. We got the last spot in the lot, and thought it would be slammed, but restaurant was only at like 50% capacity. The service was great, even the manager. Your typical diner, greasy spoon, Waffle House-esque food but it actually tastes great. Ordered take out relatively early (9am) on a Sunday morning to cure a wicked hangover, and it was ready when we arrived 20 minutes later. Well you can pick where you would like to sit but the only problem is that none of the tables were cleaned off, so that made it hard. The food was alright. The pancakes tasted burnt and they are called sweet cakes but aren't very sweet. The Turkey sausage was a huge disappointment it was very dry. I enjoyed waffle house or ihop a lot more. read more

Went their at 10:00 am on a Satirday. Sat down and waited for our waitress. We ordered and I requested my omelet have bacon instead of ham and in place of white toast, an English muffin. Twenty minutes later she comes back to tell me that I can't get bacon instead of ham, they don't have English Muffins and the manager is too busy to help her get my order out as I requested! After waiting 20 minutes and sipping on the worst cup of coffee I've had in years I decided we were leaving! Do yourself a favor, give your business to a mom and pop business and leave these corporate places alone. This was our first and last visit to huddle house. When we arrived there is no greeter to assist you in seating. It took a while for someone to let us know this is a seat yourself establishment. The only available table was dirty and I quickly let the closest person know. It took several minutes for them to clear the table. Now that we were finally sitting it took a while for someone to come and take our drink order. My two companions ordered coffee and I ordered water with lemon. Their two coffees came out promptly but I waited a few minutes for my water to arrive. When it finally came I was presented with room temperature water with a lemon in it. When has anyone had to specify that their water should be ice water??? After about 10 minutes someone finally came by and took our order. This is were things started to go really wrong. We waited....waited....and waited some more. It took over an hour for our food to come out. Several times during the hour the person we assumed was our server did stop by several times to refill coffee and apologize for the wait. It's a bad sign when the server comes by and asks if you still want to continue to wait. The food finally comes and it's nothing special. Towards the end of the meal I overhear the waitress tell the table next to us their food will be free because of their wait. What?!?! We didn't even get offered anything. I was even charged extra for my cheese added to my eggs. I will be going to IHOP if I want breakfast from now on. Be warned...this place is not worth the wait. Lastly, the person in charge had her kids running all over the restaurant. Professionalism from leadership shouldn't be something you have to ask for. Stay away from huddle house. read more

I really wanted to give this place at least 4 stars. My family and I visited this place for the first time on Veterans Day...The free waffle for a Vet was a plus which my husband got since he's active duty Navy. OK here's what I thought of the place. It's November and a bit chilly outside yet the a/c was pumped up to Artic inside. I asked our waitress if the a/c could be turned up but she informed me the the manager was very picky about the a/c and was not going to change it. It wasn't just me that was cold. I looked around to see other customers with their hoodies pulled up on the heads or rubbing their hands trying to keep warm. Also the kids menu was disappointing. My son wanted something that included a pancake not a waffle. Unfortunately we had to order a la carte for him because we were told we could NOT substitute the waffle for a pancake...seemed like a simple thing to me but a big deal for them. I ordered the Country Fried Steak breakfast platter (eggs scrambled soft with grits). The country fried steak was actually good but my eggs weren't scrambled soft and my grits a bit cold and I was able to pick the entire amount of it out the bowl with my fork (cause they were cold and stuck together). My son had a chocolate pancake and two sausage patties. He enjoyed his meal. My husband had the Smoked Sausage Breakfast Platter +the free Waffle. He loved the waffle. Everything was good except the eggs...they were not scrambled soft and were a bit too yellow as if there were sitting under a heat lamp or something. We both ordered Sweet ice tea which had to be sent back because the sweet was missing from the tea. The second glass wasn't any better...I just added sugar pack and hoped for the best. Parking was ridiculous here. I would love to give this place another chance but with winter approaching and they insist on having the a/c set to North Pole...I'll probably come back in the Spring or Summer. read more

I don't think I would be coming back here for another meal... the food was okay but it did not come out like it was advertised in the menu. We started with drinks, I had asked for a sweet tea but I received instead regular iced tea. And the refills came out more watery than the one before. I had ordered the southern smothered biscuit with bacon and it was an okay size but there was not enough gravy to dip the biscuits with...if it said smothered in the menu I am expecting a good amount of gravy to qualify as "smothered". My mother in law had ordered the chicken dumpling with a baked potato with corn. When it came out the chicken dumpling was more of a white soup with irregular sized steamed dough and okay chicken. The corn ended not being the vegetable of the day so we had to substitute the corn for green beans which was okay. The baked potato came out with just sour cream...nothing else. Which was odd.. we had placed an order for to go at the same time as we placed our meals and it took a long time to get it and the check with our change back. As we were waiting for the to go orders and check, some waitress kept bumping into me three times... she apologized but I'm 8 months pregnant and I kept being bumped into the table. Depending on how my to go orders comes out will be my deciding factor of coming back to this restaurant. read more

I'm giving this a two star comment ONLY because the service was good. The food was horrible! Ordered a 6 oz. "Ribeye steak" med. rare. What I received was a jerky-like substance, curled and full of chunks of grisly fat. The picture in the menu showed a piece of meat about an inch thick covering most of the plate. The thing I received was just over one quarter of an inch thick, took up less than one third of my plate, was over cooked & tasted like canned meat. When I said I wasn't going to pay the $14.99, they didn't bat an eye & complied. Even my loaded potato was not so great. Husband had waffles which were cool and didn't taste so good either. Extremely poor first experience. Walked in to place a to go order with a friend. Mary decided to take my friend's order which took more than 15 minutes (possibly more) to accomplish due to a discrepancy on an upgrade. She walks away doesn't give a total. We're standing there waiting for her total so I can place my order. Never once did we disclose that our orders would be together so it's was assumed by the staff that we were. So I finally my friend if she received her total so I can place my order. She had to ask Mary if she ever got a total to which Mary's response was:"Oh I thought you saw me hang it." This was both our first time coming to this establishment....so I don't understand why a staff member would assume a costumer would know this. Furthermore I've never been to an establishment that you don't pay for your order after placing it. Management walked by several times during this time period and neglected to support Mary or at least inquire to see if the orders were even placed. We ended leaving and her order cancelled. I understand it was crazy busy but this was a horrible first time experience. Definitely would think twice before attempting a second visit. read more

We've eaten at the Huddle House twice since they've opened. On both times we had different servers and tried a variety of menu items. Each time we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the speed of the service, and the quality of the food. The owner and general manager came by to check on us and to thank us for coming in. This is a family operation that clearly has attention to detail and appreciated our business. We were happy customers and will be back. Also, the Nutter Butter milkshake is worth the investment! read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I was told that the food I wanted to order was a different price than what the manager rung me up as. The cashier was sweet but didn't know what the heck she was doing. How do you not know the price of food at a restaurant in which you work?!? This place is worse than IHOP in my opinion, I waited 15 minutes for a quick order. The manager was rude and could care less that I had never been there and was quoted the wrong price $4.79 for 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. In all actuality it cost $8. I was super annoyed so i just paid and left. Got to my car and saw the crap they call food and too it back. Asked for a refund and was refunded $7.19 not $8. When I asked why I was given some stupid excuse about tax not being charged yada yada. I was just so upset that I left. If I could give this place a negative review would! I had high hopes upon entering, a young man was very polite and seated us. Then "she" came to the table, the worst waitress I have ever had! She didn't let my father finish his order before she walked away. She didn't even bother repeating our order back. We asked for the biscuits and gravy to-go, separated so they don't become soggy. Upon the food arriving, the biscuits and gravy were not to-go, and we mentioned it to her, she snapped at my father and said I'll bring a to-go box. Really? We asked for it to go ahead of time. We didn't want soggy food. On top of that, after a 30 minute wait for it, the food, of course, it's cold. For my sanity, I didn't say anything horrible waitress we had. I just wanted to leave. Never have I had such terrible, inattentive service. Save yourself the head ache. The food sucks, service sucks. Just go to IHOP. read more

Unfortunately, nothing stood out in this place. I keep reading great service...but we had slow service and it wasn't even crowded. It took a long time to get our drinks out and even place the order. Drinks were very watery tasting, maybe due to all the ice. Milkshake did not taste like the flavor ordered. The waitress wasn't too knowledgeable and didn't know much about substitution choices. When the food came out, she forgot syrup with the waffle! She never came back so I went to the front counter trying to hurry before my food got cold. The girl there acted like she couldn't help me bc she wasn't the waitress. Despite numerous bottles of syrup up front, she went in the back. She comes back and hands me a cold bottle of syrup. I thought it'd be warm and that's why I had to wait. Obviously, waffle was cold by the time I sat back down. Other meal; the chicken, was supposed to be tossed in buffalo sauce based on the picture but came out as just tenders w a dipping cup of cold, plain hot sauce. To give the place a fair chance, we ordered dessert. This too was less then impressive taste wise. Plus, the waitress tells me she'll brew me fresh coffee and she never did. She didn't charge for it so I didn't make a big deal but it would have been nice bc the place was super cold inside. The total for that meal was $31 and change. Three of us are trying to get a table and we've been sitting for a while and we asked if any are available yet and the person seating people is speaking rudely to us about other customers saying things like "They're done eating but they're just sitting there like c'mon". Brought the whole family in, which can be an undertaking in and of itself. The staff was extremely helpful the whole time we were there, the restaurant was super clean, and the food was excellent. The stuffed hashbrown was amazing, and the kids ate every bite of their chicken tenders (that never happens!).
