I've been here a few times now. When I come in, it's normally around breakfast time, but usually in the early morning when I do go. I can't even fathom trying to come in after that time due to the parking situation, or lack thereof. Overall, I have had good breakfast experiences here. I usually get the french toast platter with crispy bacon. The french toast is actually pretty good, and I like the taste of cinnamon on them as well. Eggs and bacon are your regular staples you can get anywhere. I'd love to see a lower sodium bacon option, as I do try to watch the amount of salts I'm taking in. Service has always been good and have never had any issues with that as well. A major issue here, along with the other places there, essentially have no parking. Sometimes it's like an Act of Congress to get out of there, meaning it isn't happening. I have frequently seen double parking, blocking the road in and out, etc. This is one of the reasons why I haven't been here other than the early morning for breakfast when parking is actually available. Make sure not to park at the nursing home next door as your car would likely be towed (and they have had notices up about that as well). Although this isn't the fault of the places here, I'm sure that has hampered business in general since you can't park to even visit the places here. Overall, I would definitely come back here again. One day I'll try to come in and have some of the lunch or dinner items instead, once parking actually comes available. read more

Very average restaurant. Nothing really special about this place. Waited quite a while and my food was cold on the outside but warm in the middle. Country-fried steak was ok, nothing special about it. Hashbrowns were slightly over done and too crunchy for me, my over-hard eggs were done well but like I mentioned before it was cold. Waffle wasn't special either. When I put hot sauce on my eggs and hash browns the bottle was covered in hotsauce so I got it all over my hands, and when I reached for my phone it was sticky from the syrup that wasn't cleaned up before we sat down. Don't know if I'll return but if I do I'm gonna get the buffalo shrimp/ buffalo chicken platter. I was there tonight.My first time I had a biscuit that came with hashbrowns and eggs and sausage it cost $9.99.This has to rank as one of my worst experiences.I waited a long time for my meal to get cooked and when it did arrive my eggs,sausage and hashbrowns were hard as a rock.The hashbrowns were also burnt it was beyond awful and it cost me almost $15.00 after the tip for crap.I said something to the waitress that the young man behind the grill needs to find a new job.They will never get anymore of my money.Do yourself a favor and go across the street to ihop. read more

After a long time away thought I'd give this place another try. Seating is no problem, pick where you want to eat. Our server which we had the last two visits, Jazz. She's been great. We get our drinks right away, our food comes out fast and she frequently checks on us via our dining experience. Saturday and Sunday evenings seem to be the best time for my family to dine in. After a few years, and my last review, I revisited this restaurant since I was told that management is new by some friends who went there. I was pleasantly surprised! When I walked through the door, my friends and I were greeted by the cook. We were promptly seated by our server. Our visit was really early about 7:30 am. Once seated, we gave our drink orders and they came out really fast. I had to wait for my coffee because they only brew decaf on request. Fair enough. I had a water while I waited. Server came back and took our orders. I was very pleasantly surprised when the orders only took about 15 minutes to come out. The food was hot, cheese melted and very delicious! Server checked on us appropriately, and kept up on our drinks. The new management seems to be working out, and it will take people like myself willing to give the place a second try to get the word out. Keep up the great work Huddle House! Me and my friends try new places and we decided to give this place a chance, first couple times we were treated well and served expeditiously. Today ruined our perception of what this place is about. Not only did our order not get submitted, but it was wrong. The server (mountain) yes that his name, told us he didn't enter it in the computer, when I received my meal it was the kids meal, which was not what I ordered. We had to ask him several times to refill our drinks. To end the ordeal, he rushed us to pay, because "I have to leave, I have a child waiting" which made it seem like we were inconveniencing him in some way. Needless to say, we will refrain from coming for a while, and if we do, and he is serving we will ask for someone else or just leave. Training is needed. read more

I didn't bother reading the Yelp reviews nor checked out the background of this business. First feeling when walking inside was a like a glorified IHOP. I glanced through the menu that yes, felt like an IHOP (chain) menu. So I ordered the BLT with tots. It didn't take long for my food to come out but when it came I was a bit underwhelmed. My sandwich was good, not very big, but enough for a $5 lunch. Service was good. Nothing good. Nothing bad. It was an okay experience. Not sure that I would go back nor suggest people to try it out when we have a wide array of diner-like spots that give more of the local feel. read more

Pretty much what I expected. If your expectation are in line with an IHOP or possibly even a Waffle House, you likely won't be disappointed. I did the ham and cheese omelet with the loaded home fries (All the way...or something like that). It was decent enough and since I wasn't paying an arm and a leg, I surely wasn't going to be fussy. I was in the mood for a diner style breakfast and that was exactly what I got. However, the table I was sitting at was very wobbly, which I find unusual for a restaurant that hasn't been open that long. I hate wobbly tables. Also, my bottle of ketchup had dried chunks of ketchup around the nozzle which represents nothing more than a lack of attention to detail. This would have been a three star review but I deducted a star just on that issue alone. Cleanliness is an area where a run of the mill restaurant has an opportunity to stand out. Don't screw it up! Huddle House has been around for a long time "down south", and I would call them right in-between a Waffle House and an Ihop. (Less menu items than Ihop, but a little cleaner than a waffle house). Probably one of the biggest things working against this location at the moment (and many of the stores jammed in this little section of the Landstown expansion), is the Parking. By the time the Employees of all these places show up, the lot is already packed before 10:30am. When the customers start arriving, it is a battle just to get past the Jersey Mikes cars that have to park illegally on the street coming in, and then the parking lot ends at a dead end, no place to make a u-turn, creating a bottleneck. The dude behind you is gesturing you to "go forward" he won't back up, and you have to step out of the car to point out to him that there is nothing forward but Dirt and a construction area! Let me sum that up: Parking is Terrible, any time of day. :-) Overall, the pricing is good, and the service was on point as well. Friendly, positive staff working. The food was "as expected" I would say. Nothing unique, but good food and plenty of it. They've got to do something about the lack of parking in this area though. 3.5 Stars :-) read more

I had a very awful and unfortunate experience with this place on Friday morning. I know very well that they do not accept redervations, but a bunch of my family really wanted to try the place, so I called ahead of time just to give them a warning that, "Hey, we're probably going to be around 12-14 people, we just didn't want to roll in like that and kind of overwhelm everyone." The woman I spoke to on the phone, who I have seen there before and who I believe is named Gerti, was extremely rude and unpleasant. She told me that they are a small place and that we would have to wait no matter what for space to open up. So, in order to be somewhat proactive, a couple of us in the group decided to show up early and get ourselves a spot, so that our people could just come in and take a seat once they got here. It was only supposed to be about 15-20 minutes of us holding the spot, and I was under the impression that if you got your spot for your party, then everything was fine. I had to step out for a moment and let Gerti know I was doing so, and she snapped back at me and said they were not going to hold any space for us, and that they would deliberately let people sit in the spots that we were trying to hold. I was so flabbergasted at how unnecessarily rude and awful she was being. We were a group of about a dozen, most places would be waaaaay more accommodating to such a large party. I was trying to enjoy a nice morning and breakfast with members of my family that I haven't seen in a while, and the treatment that I received from this place absolutely wrecked all of that. We had to change our plans last minute, because I refused to eat in a place where they could be so disrespectful. I will be posting this review for all to see, and my next step is calling the store and speaking to a proper manager to handle that employee. THE WORST SERVICE EVER! We went in on Veterans Day (where they claimed they were doing a free meal for veterans) and there was a HUGE line at the door. There were only a few people actually sitting down at tables though. We were totally understanding as we know there are a lot of veterans in this town. We put our name on the list and waited there and watched the entire crew of employees be unprofessional the whole time. We had our two little ones with us and after a half an hour and only one person in the huge line had been sat, with no one acknowledging all the new people coming in- we realized we'd already committed long enough to being there and that we must get Atleast sat at a table too. All the ladies were saying "I'm so done,"rolling their eyes, being SO SLOW, not clearing tables or seating anyone, and then finally addressing the poor people who had came in by saying it would be over an hour and a half wait once they even got seated. There were literally less than 10 people seated in the entire restaurant with so many booths available. As people were happy to wait, they got even more frustrated and just stopped talking to any customers and LOCKED THEIR DOOR DURING BUSINESS HOURS. After 90 minutes of being there (and not seeing anyone be sat in over an hour with many empty tables) we overheard the workers telling eachother they were now "out of food". They had only served 10 people so far that morning!!! Idk if this was to get everyone out of the place of what, but they still didn't tell any of the customers so we proceeded to wait. After another 30 minutes, a nice gentleman asked for a voucher for a free meal on the next visit. They had never offered once to do it prior. Now everyone started lining up to get them (still not being addressed) and we got attitude the whole time about even getting in line for one. We told the people it would have been nice to know that they were out of food long ago and the employee said she "didn't need my feedback." Not once did she thank any veteran in the place for waiting, or for their service. I will NEVER be back. Please hire an entire new crew of people except the one male cook in there who was the only one who kept a smile on his face the whole time! Okay let's huddle together and talk about this place. First, the staff was sweet, friendly. It was a pleasant atmosphere for my family to sit and eat food that would make my diet coach depressed enough to binge on Ben and Jerry's. The place was pretty clean and didn't smell like it was covered in grease like I expected. Second, while the staff was sweet, the service was slow. I could have filled 10 lard buckets with organic tears from vegans while I waited for my bacon smothered in more pork fat and drizzled with creamy gravy. I passed the time watching old folks eat their food. (Old people are so awesome.) Third, the food was good. We weren't disappointed. (Check out the pictures) It wasn't gourmet, but it was not bad at all. It was worth the wait. Really. Mike came by at the end of our meal and hammered in that friendly staff happening that our waiter Gerti was serving. The only thing missing was no one actually huddled. Really wasn't expecting much. These places usually arnt that great. It was Sunday morning after church so of course it was busy , however busy or not I should still get service. Maybe not the most amazing service but something! I went to use the bathroom and there was al line. The lady before me came out saying there was no more toilet paper. So I let an employee know I needed toilet paper so I could use the bathroom. 5 minutes later I'm still standing there waiting so I just went in figuring paper towels will work. I was don't standing there like a fool. Back at the table we are waiting, and waiting and waiting and waiting......... No food. People that came in after us were all eating around us. Finally our waitress realizes she has completely forgotten us cause I saw the look on her face when she saw me sitting looking pissed. Miraculously she all the sudden appears with our food. Our cold, soggy food that has been waiting for who knows how long to be brought to us. I had to send the waffle back it was so cold and soggy. The fresh waffle was hot but it was soggy like a pancake. I like my waffles crunchy and crispy. The bacon was pure salt and the sausage was rubbery. The food sucked. The service sucked. Sadly, I had high hopes for this place. Especially since it opened across the street from ihop. We went the other night and had a variety of emals. 6 of us total. Pancake selection was minimum and everybody agreed ihop buttermilk were better. The bacon was overly thin, overcooked, and tasted freezer burned. We all asked for over medium to well eggs and all got over easy. Has browns were on par with ihop. The toast was small, thin, and undercooked. My wife had the French toast and it was undercooked and deflated. We will Never go back there again. Looks like it's back to ihop until the egg bistro or a higher end place decides to come to landstown commons or redmill. Ihop puts this place to shame. One last note on the milk. I really don't understand all the fuss about the Huddle House. The food is very average, depending on the time of day you're there it could take a long time before you get it. My wife and I went there for breakfast, it took a long time for just basic breakfast food and there were items that were cold. This was not our first visit there, but there's a good chance it will be our last visit there. If you don't mind institutional type food, then this place may be OK for you. Me and wife went to huddle house October 19, 2021 around 1030 AM to eat breakfast but our disappointment the door was locked, people inside are eating but no one acknowledged our knocking on the door. NO SIGN WHATS WRONG OR EVEN A NOTICE on apiece of napkin to tell customers what's going on. We stood out side waiting for someone to say something when two people came out and they wonder too, why the door was locked.
