This is HuHot one of the worst restaurants I've been to
Sky B.

Went in to get a table for one got ignored for about 20 minutes till a family came in then they finally saw that I had been waiting then when I asked for a table for one the manager got an attitude and honestly very disappointed in this restaurant

sauce not mixed in with the noodles

i came with my bf and his friend and they were messing around and the lady at the front said "damn that as* that fat nah i'm kidding" next we got our food and my noodles we're not even cooked with the sauce. next we sit down and we ordered 1 water 1 coke 1 dr.pepper we got all water no silverware. my friend had to go to the kitchen after we waited 10 minutes for them to bring the silverware the right drinks and our rice and no one came until we went in the back to go get someone ourselves. and the girls were just in the back on their phones. at the end we weren't going to pay all together and the lady brought the bill and said here ya go and then walked away and i said we aren't together and she kept walking. also is there no dress code there? they are allowed to pajamas? will never be returning. honestly rate this place 0/5

New menu item fried stink bug Create Your Own Stir Fry

Sad day as a former Huhot enjoyer. Today my safe space was disturbed by a fried bug in my plate of food. -feeling disappointed and will not be going again

This place is pretty neat, I'll say that! Food choices for the grill were fresh, it was clean inside, and the service was friendly.

Not good. Nothing is pre-cooked so half the plate was way overcooked, while veggies were still raw.

Oils have a wide range too, with spicy (like the chili oil) and my foundation, sesame oil.

We weren't able to be sat until at least half of our party was there leaving the front area very cramped. It was kind of confusing. There were plenty of options for your bowl and it was easy to navigate. I was overall happy with my decisions despite being out of my element and having not had Mongolian bbq for over 15 years. If you want an additional bowl it's only $4 extra, so I thought that was nice. My first bowl was plenty but a few people took advantage of the unlimited option. They had some fun looking cocktails but we all stuck to water. There are also some menu items for vegetarians or other people who feel overwhelmed.

We absolutely love going to this Mongolian grill because of how many options they have available to create your perfect dish. They have a variety of noodles and meat to select as well as wide variety of veggies to put on top. I always put edamame, corn, broccoli and onions on mine! They have a large selection of sauces and spices with varying sweet and spicy levels. Along with the all you can eat Mongolian grill, they also have tasty apps, mouthwatering desserts, as well as a salad bar and soup station. If "all you can eat" isn't up your alley, they have a handful of meals to choose from on their menu. If you are craving Mongolian food, make sure to try BD's!

My rice noodles were so over cooked I could not even bit thru most of them! The beef and chicken was on the verge of leather to chew. The only protein to survive was the fake crab! The veggies had at least 6 ladles of sauce and yet one guy felt the need to water it down with a hearty squirt! So my veggies ended up steamed instead of grilled! Then while mine was left unattended on one side, on the opposite side another fella was cleaning off the food residue and scraped with such vigor a big splat landed on my veggies!!! I gagged! But in the interest of not wasting food I went ahead and let him plate it all up! What an awful meal! The only reason I gave a 1 was for the pleasant waiter I had who patiently listened to my complaints and offered me a second chance for a fresh plate! Without being able to control the grill guys, I figured a second plate would not be any better. I came here not long after HuHot opened here and it was one of my favorite eateries in Manhattan but about 2 years ago, I had this same kind of experience! Today, I gave them a second chance! Didn't fly folks! Won't ever be going back!

Tucked away in a small corner of Lenexa, Monkey King Chinese BBQ & Noodle Restaurant feels like one…read moreof the most authentic Chinese spots in the Kansas City metro area. Their menu consists of a lot of dishes, and some are quite unique .. you don't usually see items like bird's nest dishes at most Chinese restaurants around here except for maybe Bolings. Me and my husband visited on a Saturday night around 8 pm and really devoured our meal. The menu can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but you honestly can't go wrong with stir fries at any Chinese restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered chicken egg rolls, which were hefty and filling. For the main course, I ordered the chicken in black bean stir fry, and my husband got the shrimp Kung Pao chicken stir fry. We paired both with steamed rice. The black bean chicken was rich and earthy, with that deep, slightly funky flavor from the fermented black beans. It was very umami, salty and complimented nicely with the fresh, crisp vegetables and well-cooked chicken. I really liked it. The shrimp Kung Pao was spicy and tangy, with perfectly cooked shrimp (the fried shrimp covering was chefs kiss) and crispy veggies. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. The egg rolls were about $4 for two pieces, and the stir fries were around $17+ each. The portions are quite large compared to other places in the area, so the pricing seemed reasonable. For 2 main course dishes your bill could easily reach up to $40. Otherwise, The restaurant was clean, the staff was kind, and service was quick. It also wasn't too crowded when we visited. I would rate the service 4/5, mainly because we had to ask for silverware, condiments, and tissues separately. The food, though, is definitely a 5/5. Highly recommended! I will definitely return to have more dishes like beef chow fun, the soups and last, but not least BIRDS NEST!!
