We recently moved with Hulk Movers, a company my wife discovered. She obtained a quote through phone and email. Since the service was billed by the hour, we made sure everything was ready for the moving team. I even took the bed apart to speed up the process. However, we weren't prepared for the actual moving day issues. Two of the three movers didn't speak much English and spent the whole time shouting in a foreign language. A little talking is fine, but constant yelling throughout the house was excessive. I could hear them no matter where I was. The third mover didn't interact much with the others.I expected that they would take measures to protect our doors and floors, especially in the new house. I mentioned this to the foreman, but it seems they didn't have the necessary supplies. Although we asked for wardrobes for the move and they were provided, they were in such poor condition that we only used a few. I had to move most of the clothes myself. The main reason we hired professional movers was to ensure the safe handling of our furniture and property. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We ended up with scratches on the front door of our old house, which I had to repair to avoid deductions from our deposit. Additionally, my office desk was damaged because the movers didn't use protective pads. I had expected to pay for a professional service but was left with a disappointing experience. Hopefully, I won't have to move again for a few years, but if I do, I'll be sure to avoid Hulk Movers. read more

Put out a request for movers via Yelp and Hulk movers responded quickly. It was really easy to set up the appt. They showed up at 8:20 and I was given a time frame of between 8 and 830 am. So that was really nice. The guys all worked hard and did a great job. The biggest thank you to the hulk movers crew because we have a heavy dining table that we weren't able to break down due to a screw being jammed and this guys moved it no problem. Not just that the space in the new house is a little tight and these guys again no problem got it to fit without any damage to the table or house. I would highly recommend. I had rented a storage unit that had confirmed that a 53 foot tractor trailer would be able to maneuver into the unit I had rented. Fast forward to the day of drop off and I was told that the trailer would high center. I had to find a company QUICKLY to come with a smaller truck, transfer my stuff and then transfer it into the unit. HULK MOVERS were there in 40 minutes, got my stuff into their truck, over to my unit and out into the unit in about 1.5 hours. I am just so grateful to them!!! Hate to leave a bad review, especially when there are so many good ones. Its the one of the main reasons why I chose this place. I moved a little more than 2 mos ago- hadn't had time to review due to business trips. The process was smooth in the beginning- email responses were quick, and I appreciated being able to communicate through email since I am never able to talk on the phone due to being on calls for work and also night classes. The below are the issues I had with the company. 1. I never received a contract after sending in a list and pictures of the items, but didn't worry because they seemed professional. Big mistake. The process went smooth until I was unpacking. 2. I was missing some of my things (these include electronics and expensive jewelry, etc) and also when I realized that the wide flat screen tv was damaged when I plugged it in 2 days later. 3. I contacted the lead worker who I communicated within 2 hrs of them leaving, but he completely ignored me despite my reaching out a number of times. 4. I reached out to the company itself, and did receive a reply, however for some reason, they completely refused to email and only talk on the phone. The process of going back and forth took a whole month because they took so long to answer back and not replying unless I cut out during seminars to call. When we finally were able to talk, I understood and agreed that they'd pay $0.60 to the pound due to having not paid for a separate moving insurance. 5. After this agreement, they TOTALLY GHOSTED ME. The TV and my missing goods is one thing, and its my fault for not paying insurance (it's my 1st time moving in the US). However, their customer service is really sly and despicable. A simple apology and transparent explanation would have sufficed. I provided refreshments and also paid $100 cash tip for the 2.5 hrs of service- I would have really appreciated if I hadn't gotten completely ignored right afterwards. I also understand its a busy season in the summer, so I waited patiently for their reply, but my emails have been completely ignored- it really makes me wonder if all those reviews can be believed. Accidents happen, but my missing belongings are just insult over injury. There are great moving companies- I suggest you choose another. I am in the process of filing claims and complaints with the relevant associations. read more

We had an excellent experience with Hulk movers. They were extremely careful to wrap every item, they moved swiftly, were very polite and explained everything thoroughly. We were unable to get a pullout bed/couch into the new upstairs, guest bedroom, but they really took the time to measure several different ways and discuss options. I feel confident that it just wasn't doable with the space that we had. I would definitely recommend them, no issues. We paid the $159/hour cash rate. The move lasted 4.25 hours from a single-story two BR 2 Bath to a 3 story 2 BR 2.5 bath. We moved mostly everything prior ourselves, and just had them bring furniture/my clothing with the wardrobe boxes they supplied. If you're looking to save money, I suggest doing the same. As I mentioned, they moved very quickly and I never saw them stop, that's just the time required to ensure safe delivery to your next location. They made sure all our items were wrapped and packaged so no damage would happen. Highly recommend them. One thing that I would recommend improving is that the movers did not arrive at the designated time, which is normal and I completely understand because they were coming from another move. However, I had to call the number provided multiple times (called and he said he would call back but didn't) to get an updated eta from someone at the office. If movers are behind, it would have been helpful if they kept us in the loop instead of us waiting and hunting down if they were coming still/and when. read more
