I live right around the corner from this hidden gem! i loved it we've needed a place like this in the neighborhood :)!

I've been going here fairly regularly for the past 6 months. This place is amazing. I came here one day because the wait was an hour long at Cici's and haven't looked back since. The place is very cozy and country home feeling and around-the-corner bakery. The staff is very nice and the food is even better. Great food presentation, great quality and at a reasonable price. Favorite things to get on the menu: Eggs Benedict Chilaquiles Biscuits and Gravy Toast with their handmade jam Reuben Sandwich Panini TLDR; Get here and eat everything. Had brunch today with my girl before a flight lesson. We loved it. The food has so much amazing taste to it! Get the panwitch. It's epic.

First off its great to have a place like this in this part of the valley, we can really use it. Second, I had the eggs Benedict, despite the pictures posted It only comes with one and half the portion of potatoes, it's good, healthy and light. The coffee is pretty good too. We did drive up the street to the Cuban cafe for an espresso and tamale ( awesome by the way). It's a great place to put on your hipster wear and act too cool for school. Give it a try if for any reason that they are definitely trying. BTW don't be alarmed by the bougie posts concerning the neighborhood, it really isn't that bad. read more

The place was packed on a Saturday morning so unfortunately we had to wait outside under the sun with 2 kids. When our table was ready they only had one high chair in the restaurant and that was taken by another family so we had to sit our toddler on our lap. yes the food is fresh and it is quaint and the service pleasant, but it is way overpriced, it was 8 buck for what was essentially an Egg McMuffin. the Fresh squeezed juice look enticing until we saw the price. The bill for two of us was near thirty before tip. So no, not going back for something that expensive I want WOW when I bite into it, instead I got "not Bad". The food was delicious, I had the hue is rancheros... Yummy! And I LOVE the homemade habenero sauce!! It was clean and they even had organic ketchup. It was pretty busy but everyone was able to get a seat. They were friendly and everyone else's food looked good too. Creative atmosphere with antique mirrors, chalk boards, wheat stalks and baskets. Very neat local business. In a sea of iHops and seedy diners...the food is so high end that it takes you by surprise that something like this is in the valley. read more

Came in for a table for 2 on a Sunday expecting a long wait, but only had to wait about 15 minutes. My tip would be to come early on the weekends, since the place is small and fills up fast AND they run off of a "blackboard menu" so you'll get the best options early. I had the frittata with spinach, mushrooms and goat cheese and it was AMAZING. Their homemade hot sauce was so good I purchased a small mason jar of it after our meal. It might be a "tad" bit pricey for the area, but it all wonderful food and you get what you pay for. read more

My favorite breakfast spot, hands down. Everything consistently tastes delicious and fresh. Not only that, but they pass the pancake test! What does that mean? They are maybe one of two places that doesn't make pancakes ridiculously sweet. Pancakes should not be sweet, that is what the real maple syrup is for (which by the way comes assumed at humble bee). Nothing worse than paying $15 for breakfast only to be upcharged for "real maple syrup"! Shouldn't the real be assumed? Anyway, this place does. This is the second time that I have had brunch here this week. Honestly the customer service here is awesome - waiter was very friendly and actually took the time to have a conversation with us rather than just taking our order and rolling out. The food is amazing - proportions are perfect and everything is made with quality ingredients. Definitely loved the Spanish frittata and farm boy breakfast! The place is definitely a little hole in the wall. I passed it twice on the way here, but it was worth the drive. I ordered the farm boy, which is 2 eggs, a pancake,potatoes and your choice of turkey bacon or sausage. The food was season perfectly, and cooked just right. The only critique I have is that their drop coffee Groundwork was very watered down. However, I ordered a mocha latte instead and that was absolutely delicious. I'm definitely pleasantly surprise by this place, and will definitely return. read more

Wow, wish there were more eateries like this. This is how every restaurant should operate. Not only is the food organic, the attention to detail is high and their prices so reasonable to affordable especially for being organic. Then there is the staff. So helpful and energetic not to mention we were there at 8 am.... Not many people are that cheerful that early so kudos! They were so accommodating with our orders given to go orders for the kiddos. I am a fan of this place and was happy to return yesterday. The new look is great and food quality remains excellent. It is obvious that a lot of care and dedication is taken in the selection and preparation. Taste and presentations is also excellent. This is probably the best breakfast place in the area. I remain a fan but was disappointed with the menu and price changes that have taken place. My family and I were unable to order what we wanted as menu has completely changed. Favorites like the farm boy(2 eggs, potato& sausage) is gone so we were forced to order eggs,pancakes and turkey patties separately. I am also not sure if the new price is fair for the area. Lastly, I was totally disappointed with their coffee for the first time. It used to be real good coffee but this time the coffee was watered down coffee comparable to what you will find at ihop,Dennys and many other cheap coffee shops. Service was also not excellent but I think it is because they just reopened. We actually had to cancel one order because it just took forever and we had to leave. read more

If you like heavy breakfast with lots of salt and grease, you will not like Humble Bee. We see the owner shopping at the local farmers market every week and loading up with best available, hand picked ingredients That is why we decided to try it. The meals are light, but very generous. Healthy and very Yummy without grease or over salting Prices are fair but not cheap but the best ingredients cost more than purchased from the standard purveyor truck Only quibble is the preparation time is slow. Small but well thought-out menu. Fresh ingredients. Very nice employees. all = recipe for success. This place is in the vein of nearby Nikki's and East Hollywood's De Sano, and does it very well. We had a salad (kale caesar), Pesci pizza, pasta, and the garlic knots. Crust was thin but not micro-thin, and very good balance of chewy and crispy. Toppings were fresh and well proportioned. My wife said the salad was a very good example of a kale-based caesar and was made fresh to order. The guys behind the counter were nice, efficient, and friendly. My only thought would be there were only two at the time (Saturday lunch) so I imagine they might get overwhelmed if the place got busy. read more

I came here for brunch because I saw this place had good reviews. I ordered the English Butty. Food Taste and look fresh. My complaint is the Portion is small and not very filling. Also the dressing on my salad bleed over my eggs and everything else on the plate. Waiters didn't really check up on us. Just ordered, got food and bill and that was it. We love this place and now with the expansion, it is much more open and yet still nice and cozy. Service is always great, friendly and food comes quickly. Everything I've ever tried has tasted fresh and portions are great, not too big and not too small. Quality ingredients and some seasonal offerings make Humblebee a great neighborhood spot and a place we will continue to enjoy. I think I'll head over there right now and grab a bite. The Humble Bee is a divine jewel of a cafe restaurant located at a modest shop front near Louise and Saticoy. A family owned establishment, the staff of the Humble Bee present a variety of healthy fare aimed at Californian palates. During my most recent visit on 05-01-2016, I enjoyed quinoa & lentil cakes with portobello mushroom and topped with sunny side up egg. This went very well with turkey sausage and the house habanero sauce ! This order included a salad of mixed greens and some beet shavings - great flavors. Previous to this visit, I've enjoyed the Panwhich. My friend A____ was delighted and expressed her pleasure at the presentation, healthy offerings, and savoriness of her order. Humble Bee has attracted a following and can be busy - most especially on weekends. Some parking in the back alley lot, otherwise street parking as the front lot fills up fast. Came here for lunch with coworkers. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Either our server, Oscar, was on top of his game or we were really easy customers. We got there, sat right away and ordered in less than 10 minutes (this is crucial since some of us only have 1/2 hour lunch). The food was outstanding. I shared the beet salad and a roasted chicken sandwich with a friend and it was just the right amount of food. And it was delicious! Someone else at the table got the turkey avocado sandwich (not sure what it's called on the menu) and i was eyeing it the whole time... it looked so GOOD. Definitely going to get it next time. Too bad we did not have room (or time) for dessert because I saw some stuff go to other tables that looked amazing. read more

My experience at the restaurant was pleasant. Unfortunately, I got charged more than I should of on my card. Didn't notice until a day after and was mad when I saw that. Called the day it was closed but the owner got back to me the following day. He was extremely apologetic and offered to pay me back on the spot (due to the fact that it hadn't cleared on my account.)Thank you for getting back to me fast. I took my girl yesterday and I live down the street, have been for the last four years and it was finally time to go in. First time. And wow was I impressed! It was brunch, on a Saturday it was packed waited 45 mins. I order the eggs Benedict and it was impeccable! Super good best I've had in a long time!!!
