    Red velvet flan

My friends and I decided to try this BBQ restaurant yesterday. We were in for a real treat! We had frito pie and corn bread for an appetizer. The taste of the frito pie was just fantastic! The corn bread was sweet and moist. We were 5 hungry men and ordered the Pa'La Familia platter with ribs, chicken, & brisket. We also added a pound of hot links and some barbacoa tacos. For sides we had brussels sprouts, mac & cheese, cole slaw, and beans. All of the meats were moist and tasty. I didn't need to use any extra sauce as the flavors were amazing without adding anything. The sides were also excellent. The brussels sprouts were my favorite. Our server was very attentive and came by several times. Even the chef came out to check on us. Of course we had to try dessert and ordered the banana churro cream pudding and the red velvet flan. Both were very sweet and a delicious way to end our meal.

Little local gem. Friendly young staff. You can find the owner coming around checking on its patrons. Heard about this place on social media instabooktok ya know these influencers sound/look the same. But the sound of what they call Mexicue is fabulous! When you come in you are greeted nicely and asked how you heard of them. Be honest and let them know. Because small businesses rely on word of mouth. Anyways the ambiance is very clean the one thing I can comment on is the adorable hat wall. I love the mixture. Made me think of old traditions with new ideas. Idk. Food wise all food is made in house by scratch! We love love love that! My favorite items were the burnt ends! Little cubes of gold! I loved the street corn, the fresh baked rolls. But I would suggest not to skip on the churro banana pudding! It's a thick custard full of fresh bananas and then topped with mini churros. They were so nice to put 3 churros because it was 3 of us girls sharing a bit of dessert after being full!!! I wish the ribs were fall off the bone tender but they were so flavorful! We did the Chico platter with an extra meet and side. Way more food than we could eat. The iced teas super sweet. All in all a good afternoon lunch for a girls lunch or a double date.

Walked in at 7:45 not realizing they closed at 8pm! The staff was so welcoming! We asked if it was ok as they were about to close and they ushered us in! So nice to have friendly service. It smelled delicious in there thank goodness they were open to serve us! Love the decor not a lot just enough. Feels clean if that makes sense. I went to their previous location and it was dark in there. Again super friendly staff all around. We ordered the Chico plate. It didn't disappoint. We enjoyed all the meats and the sauces. Will be back for sure. Price and value are great and added bonus how great staff was!

Got the 2 meat and 2 side. Paid 27 bucks for what?! Looks like a kids meal. 1st time getting the 2 meat. Will be the last time. You want us to pay expensive prices give food. Absolutely ridiculous.

First off the service was good they are kind and attentive. Secondly the food is amazing. They serve big portions I promise you will be full when you leave. The burnt ends were moist and flavorful. The Mac n cheese are creamy with a hint of Mexican flare. The street corn is A1.

Burnt ends, brisket, a roll, Brussel sprouts; daughters tacos at the top; cornbread.

I had such high hopes for this place. I am a huge fan of BBQ and have wanted to go since I moved here 2 years ago, and also since I saw a video on IG. My daughter and son in law took me for Mothers Day. There was hardly anyone inside so already not a good sign. I mean, it's Mothers Day for goodness sakes. The restaurant industry's biggest day of the year. It was lunch time, pretty much straight up noon. It should have been packed. It felt like walking into a cafeteria. Decor was lacking. Looked like they were going for half Mexican half cowboy. And I get that. I also get going for minimalist style. It just didn't feel welcoming. It felt cheap and like they didn't care what it looked like. But, looks aren't my priority when I want good food. Daughter and I each ordered a cocktail. Both were very tasty but also pretty weak. Also, I don't like drinking my fruity cocktail out of a plastic cup. All tableware was plastic. Except the cutlery. If I'm paying $30 for an entree, serve it on a real plate, or even on a metal tray. Not cheap plastic that looks like stoneware. Now for the food: daughter's salad was good. Nice fresh leafy greens with a lime ranch dressing. Her tacos were itty bitty, but for $4 each, it's to be expected. The hatch green chili Mac and cheese was ok. Nothing to rave about but no complaints either. Corn bread was tasty but fell apart when cut. I liked that it was covered in honey. I had burnt ends with brisket and Brussel sprouts. Sprouts were mushy, not crispy at all. The only flavor was the heat. I liked my burnt ends, but I've had better. Brisket was overcooked and extremely dry. Little to no flavor and really small, thin slices. I've had brisket from some of the top nationally rated BBQ places and it's always been super juicy, flavorful and nice thick slices that fall apart between your fingers. I've stood in line in the heat for over two hours to have that food. So I know good BBQ My son in law had tri tip and brisket with fries. And his plate was swimming in grease. That should never happen with low and slow cooking of meats. The amount of grease on his plate, and the state of the brisket are the ultimate reason for this less than stellar review. My daughter and I both wondered if the sandos would have been better choices, but meat that's only good if made into a sando, is not saying much about the meat. Maybe I'll get one and see if it's better. But I won't be back for plates of meat. I only took a picture of my plate. I really wish I had gotten one of my son in laws plate.

Grande PA' LA FAMILIA. Sides: burnt ends and hot links.

Pretty darn good! Ribs were good, different, not your typical fall off the bone slow smoked ribs, more meaty and charred. Hot links, were tasty, not super spicy. Brisket was melt in your mouth! Pulled pork was yummy. The stand-out was definitely the burnt ends, yum! Corn and Mac and cheese were well done. Coming back!

I came here a second time with a larger group of 10 and it wasn't too crowded on a weekday night. This time the service was WAYYY better. It was definitely quicker and the host and server were a lot more attentive than the first time. As usual the food was BOMB AF. we ordered a lot of food. Sadly the burnt were not as good as last time but the pulled pork was better this time. I was also able to try the Brussel sprouts this time and I loved it! I will def be back again. This is prob my fave American bbq place in LV!!

    Leslie W.

First time I came here with my bf it was five stars! The Brussels sprouts had me hooked! The male server was friendly, attentive, and the food was amazing. We over Tipped 20% and told everyone about it. So I decided to bring a larger party this second time and celebrate an early Father's Day and get my fix in with Brussel sprouts. This second time, our service was HORRIBLE. The female server didn't talk, didn't give suggestions when ordering, didn't refill our drinks--- unless we got up and asked, she slammed plates on our table, looked annoyed, didn't ask if we wanted desert or anything. I was trying to figure out what we did or if we upset her but as our service went on my family and I noticed we weren't the only ones being treated this way.I then seen her leave a small desert on the table next to us, before they could tell her it was a mistake, she walked away and the table looked at us and asked us if we ordered desert because they didn't. We all laughed because we were treated like crap and it was really weird that we all were like well, maybe she's having a bad day and just enjoy the food. I seen the desert sit there with the table next to me for 10 mins and the people at the table didn't touch it. Then a male server walked by and they flagged him down by telling him the desert wasn't there. My whole family witnessed the male server pick up the desert, walk to the bar and ask the female server that was annoyed and whatever words they exchanged, all I know is that he turned around and walked the desert to another table and sat it down. That made me sick because it should have been switched out. I'm disappointed because the food is so good and I know the cooks in the back are working their tail off to only have the servers ruin it. Whatever is going on please get it together because the food is so good. But seeing things like this and having horrible service, is a NO FOR ME!

This spot knows what it's doing. The ribs were flavorful and cooked right--tender without falling apart too much. The brisket was just as solid, juicy and soft with that clean, smoky flavor you expect. The cornbread deserves a mention too--moist, slightly sweet, and a perfect balance to everything else on the plate. Service was immaculate. Attentive without hovering, and everything came out smooth from start to finish. Baked potato could be better, needed crispy skin and chili was missing something

Decided to check out Humo Barbecue on Sunset Road for lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant is clean and they seated us quickly. The server was nice and their sauce is tasty. The ribs were well cooked but very fatty, the fries were really good. The food came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately that was the last time we saw the server u til we asked for the bill. She didn't come back to see how the food was, didn't refill any drinks There are definitely better places in Henderson for ribs. For what I got, Humo was average.

Another trip to Humo Barbecue, another great meal. Love the infusion of true bbq with Mexican spices l, gives every bite a little kick. Favor is on point and portions and just right. Had the chica family meal this time: pulled pork, ribs, brisket with Humo street corn and mac & cheese. Started meal off Frito Pie and ended it with Churro Banana Pudding. If you haven't tried this place, you are missing out.

Tucked away like a secret meant only for those who truly love barbecue, this spot is an absolute hidden gem and hands down the best value and best tasting barbecue I've had in Las Vegas. The Hatch chile mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and deeply comforting, with just the right kick of warmth in every bite. The beef brisket sandwich, layered with sweet honey barbecue sauce, was tender, smoky, and unforgettable. What truly elevates this place is how accessible it is. The food and beverage prices are affordable, especially considering the quality, portions, and care put into every dish. It feels honest, generous, and made with heart. This is the kind of place you want to keep to yourself but can't help recommending. I will absolutely be back.

Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!
