"Latino Ingredients, American Smoke" ~ Humo Barbecue ...perfectly sums up Humo Barbecue. I saw Homo on social media and thought I had to give it a shot. I'm glad there were no crazy lines or a very long wait. I don't frequent this side of town too often. Good size venue with plenty of parking. We were greeted and sat down right away. I saw some other reviews mentioning problems with the service, I'm glad we didn't encounter anything similar. Our food also came out in a timely manner. APPS TO SHARE: ~ Tostada Flight - 5/5 While this is listed as an app, this can serve as a meal if you are not famished. My favorite Tostada was the Barbacoa followed by the Brisket and finally the Pork. Barbacoa, Pork & Brisket Tostatas with beans, queso fresco, onion, cilantro, arugula, cilantro crema, topped with red onion and a slice of jalapeño. #LatinoBBQ: SIDES: ~ Sweet & Spicy Brussel Sprouts - 4/5 The Brussel sprouts were pretty good, exactly as described, sweet and spicy. There is a little bit of heat on the end. ~ Mexicue Cornbread - 5/5 That was some brilliant Cornbread; slightly sweet, warm and moist. I'm a fan! ~ Tri-Tip - 3.5/5 I wanted to try out the Tri-Tip since it's only available on the weekends, but I didn't want to commit to a larger order. It's nice that you can order a smaller portion as a side. The Tri-Tip was just OK for me, I had better. I now these are hard to do so 3.5/5 for me. SALADS & BOWLS: ~ Mac & Elote Brisket Bowl - 4.5/5 This was brilliant! Don't let the size fool you, while it doesn't look all that intimidating, this thing is hearty and heavy. The Brisket was very tender Great flavor; Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese, street corn, topped with Brisket, onion and cilantro mix, Tapatio crema, Tapatio, jalapeño slices, and a lime wedge. No problems stopping by if I'm in the area...

We had a good experience here at Humo BBQ but the food was just ok. The burnt ends were amazing. The ribs were ok, pretty tough and didn't come off the bone very easily. The staff was very friendly, but the service was a little slow. Overall ok but not great.

This is my second visit to Humo! My friend and I went on a Sunday for lunch and were seated right away. The lighting is pretty dim inside, relying mostly on the natural light from the windows. We started off with the burnt ends appetizer, which was perfectly tender. I ordered bbq pulled chicken and the Mexicue cornbread. The chicken was soft, moist, and the bbq sauce was good, not too overpowering. Loved the cornbread, I'll definitely order that as a side again. It has a nice balance between a little salty and sweet. My friend ordered a half roasted chicken, hot link, potato salad, and hatch chile mac & cheese, and they've been here several times so they enjoy it. Overall, a very good sized meal for the price.

Humo BBQ was so good! I've honestly never had anything like it before, and the prices were really reasonable for the quality of food. That being said, the service was pretty disappointing. We asked for water and it was never brought out, even though our server was attending to other tables who came in after us and helping them right away. Our food came and we still didn't have drinks. We were already halfway through our meal before we had to get her attention and ask again for water. The food itself was amazing, but they definitely need to retrain their waitstaff, especially the female server we had. Because of her lack of attention and effort, I'm giving this place 3 stars. Otherwise, it easily would have been a 4.

My friends and I decided to try this BBQ restaurant yesterday. We were in for a real treat! We had frito pie and corn bread for an appetizer. The taste of the frito pie was just fantastic! The corn bread was sweet and moist. We were 5 hungry men and ordered the Pa'La Familia platter with ribs, chicken, & brisket. We also added a pound of hot links and some barbacoa tacos. For sides we had brussels sprouts, mac & cheese, cole slaw, and beans. All of the meats were moist and tasty. I didn't need to use any extra sauce as the flavors were amazing without adding anything. The sides were also excellent. The brussels sprouts were my favorite. Our server was very attentive and came by several times. Even the chef came out to check on us. Of course we had to try dessert and ordered the banana churro cream pudding and the red velvet flan. Both were very sweet and a delicious way to end our meal.

Little local gem. Friendly young staff. You can find the owner coming around checking on its patrons. Heard about this place on social media instabooktok ya know these influencers sound/look the same. But the sound of what they call Mexicue is fabulous! When you come in you are greeted nicely and asked how you heard of them. Be honest and let them know. Because small businesses rely on word of mouth. Anyways the ambiance is very clean the one thing I can comment on is the adorable hat wall. I love the mixture. Made me think of old traditions with new ideas. Idk. Food wise all food is made in house by scratch! We love love love that! My favorite items were the burnt ends! Little cubes of gold! I loved the street corn, the fresh baked rolls. But I would suggest not to skip on the churro banana pudding! It's a thick custard full of fresh bananas and then topped with mini churros. They were so nice to put 3 churros because it was 3 of us girls sharing a bit of dessert after being full!!! I wish the ribs were fall off the bone tender but they were so flavorful! We did the Chico platter with an extra meet and side. Way more food than we could eat. The iced teas super sweet. All in all a good afternoon lunch for a girls lunch or a double date.

If I could give Humo six stars I would. I went there for the first time today with my son for my birthday lunch. We had the Chico platter with the spare ribs, brisket & burnt ends, with chorizo refried beans & Humo street corn. All I can say is everything and I mean everything was outstanding, amazing! I met Tino the owner (super nice guy) he said everything is made daily. Our waitress Letty was awesome! All the meat had an excellent amount of Smokey BBQ flavor with a perfect crust. The brisket & burnt ends were juicy and the spare ribs were too, they were our favorite.. the street corn was the best I ever had and those chorizo refried beans were awesome, the rolls they gave us were soft, warm and melt in your mouth. For desert we had the churro bread pudding, it is to die for. Humo is now officially m favorite BBQ restaurant in town. my recommendation is, go try them. You will be pleasantly surprised, and actually amazed at how good the food is!

Walked in at 7:45 not realizing they closed at 8pm! The staff was so welcoming! We asked if it was ok as they were about to close and they ushered us in! So nice to have friendly service. It smelled delicious in there thank goodness they were open to serve us! Love the decor not a lot just enough. Feels clean if that makes sense. I went to their previous location and it was dark in there. Again super friendly staff all around. We ordered the Chico plate. It didn't disappoint. We enjoyed all the meats and the sauces. Will be back for sure. Price and value are great and added bonus how great staff was!

I had such high hopes for this place. I am a huge fan of BBQ and have wanted to go since I moved here 2 years ago, and also since I saw a video on IG. My daughter and son in law took me for Mothers Day. There was hardly anyone inside so already not a good sign. I mean, it's Mothers Day for goodness sakes. The restaurant industry's biggest day of the year. It was lunch time, pretty much straight up noon. It should have been packed. It felt like walking into a cafeteria. Decor was lacking. Looked like they were going for half Mexican half cowboy. And I get that. I also get going for minimalist style. It just didn't feel welcoming. It felt cheap and like they didn't care what it looked like. But, looks aren't my priority when I want good food. Daughter and I each ordered a cocktail. Both were very tasty but also pretty weak. Also, I don't like drinking my fruity cocktail out of a plastic cup. All tableware was plastic. Except the cutlery. If I'm paying $30 for an entree, serve it on a real plate, or even on a metal tray. Not cheap plastic that looks like stoneware. Now for the food: daughter's salad was good. Nice fresh leafy greens with a lime ranch dressing. Her tacos were itty bitty, but for $4 each, it's to be expected. The hatch green chili Mac and cheese was ok. Nothing to rave about but no complaints either. Corn bread was tasty but fell apart when cut. I liked that it was covered in honey. I had burnt ends with brisket and Brussel sprouts. Sprouts were mushy, not crispy at all. The only flavor was the heat. I liked my burnt ends, but I've had better. Brisket was overcooked and extremely dry. Little to no flavor and really small, thin slices. I've had brisket from some of the top nationally rated BBQ places and it's always been super juicy, flavorful and nice thick slices that fall apart between your fingers. I've stood in line in the heat for over two hours to have that food. So I know good BBQ My son in law had tri tip and brisket with fries. And his plate was swimming in grease. That should never happen with low and slow cooking of meats. The amount of grease on his plate, and the state of the brisket are the ultimate reason for this less than stellar review. My daughter and I both wondered if the sandos would have been better choices, but meat that's only good if made into a sando, is not saying much about the meat. Maybe I'll get one and see if it's better. But I won't be back for plates of meat. I only took a picture of my plate. I really wish I had gotten one of my son in laws plate.

First off the service was good they are kind and attentive. Secondly the food is amazing. They serve big portions I promise you will be full when you leave. The burnt ends were moist and flavorful. The Mac n cheese are creamy with a hint of Mexican flare. The street corn is A1.

I came here a second time with a larger group of 10 and it wasn't too crowded on a weekday night. This time the service was WAYYY better. It was definitely quicker and the host and server were a lot more attentive than the first time. As usual the food was BOMB AF. we ordered a lot of food. Sadly the burnt were not as good as last time but the pulled pork was better this time. I was also able to try the Brussel sprouts this time and I loved it! I will def be back again. This is prob my fave American bbq place in LV!!

It's the 4th of July and there was no way I was going to have my hair smelling like smoke. Humo is tucked away in a corner but should not be forgotten. Once you walk in you see the fusion and cultural flare. Open space and very clean definitely fit for an intimate date for two or a family style meal. The wait staff very pleasant and attentive. The wait for the food was not long either. Everything was fresh and hot. We ordered the large family meal which gives for a great selection of three large portions of meat and two generous sides. The ribs were tender and well seasoned. The chicken was juicy and tender however could have used a bit more flavor but the sauce helped. The brisket was cooked well it was juicy and tender. The sides were sides. The kids enjoyed the street corn. Overall the entire meal was delicious. It was more than enough food for my hungry bunch with leftovers to nibble on later. Would definitely recommend. Oh and the potato salad is a "yes" for me!

Decided to check out Humo Barbecue on Sunset Road for lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant is clean and they seated us quickly. The server was nice and their sauce is tasty. The ribs were well cooked but very fatty, the fries were really good. The food came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately that was the last time we saw the server u til we asked for the bill. She didn't come back to see how the food was, didn't refill any drinks There are definitely better places in Henderson for ribs. For what I got, Humo was average.
