My boyfriend was in dire need of a tailor and we were running out of time so we had to resort to Yelp for a quick fix. Thank god for Yelp because Hung is a god-send! We came at 730 PM (I know, I know) and Hung was wick to help us in figuring out what it is that we need to do. Initially came in for a quick taper but after talking to Hung, we decided to hem and taper his dress slacks and shorten the sleeves of his jacket. We had another bad news for Hung.. we need it done within 24 hours. He was surprised and was like what?! BUT HE DID NOT BACK DOWN FROM THE CHALLENGE. He told my boyfriend that he's lucky and will do it for us because my boyfriend reminds him of his son! (I guess all Asians look alike!!) haha, jokes aside, Hung did really pull through for us because he got it done in less than 24 hours! All in all it was an unbelievable price of only $40! We gave him an extra $20 because he was THAT good. Planning to come back again sometimes next month for another alteration on his suits! Go go go!!! read more

I recently bought a suit for my son who is very tall and thin. The suit was reasonably priced from Nordstrom's Rack. The back of the suit was definitely too roomy for his physique. Looking at alterations, I came across Hung Tailoring. I sent a message Wednesday morning, dropped the suit off at noon and received a phone call Friday morning telling me the suit was ready. Came here on a Saturday 4/29 to hem my dress a few inches. I tried on the dress and he pinned my dress to a height that we both agreed on. He texted me a week later to tell me my dress was ready! My boyfriend's mother comes to this place all the time to get her clothes fitted and tailored and she seems satisfied with the lady here. I've been here 3 times and only 2 of those time I was happy. The first time I came, it was to get my bridesmaid dress tailored. My dress was pretty simple with a train and she was couldn't help me. The other 2 times I only stopped by to leave my scrubs because they were too long. She made them shorter and more well fitted and it was only $5. The plaza is my least favorite thing about this place. Parking is terrible to find if it was during their peak shopping hours. read more

The two tailors here are extremely helpful perfectionists! I am extremely picky and they patiently service many things I bring in. I had my wedding dress altered here and had countless dresses, blouses, pants, etc serviced by them over the past 5 years. They are very upfront about everything and will let me know if something can't be altered. The prices are very fair for the amazing service. Also, in the past few years my husband has bought over a dozen suits from this shop at unbelievable prices. He would then have it slightly altered for that fitted look. For the price of 3 suits and alterations, I would only get 1 $700 suit of the same quality from Nordstrom. I can't be happier with all that they've done for me. I highly recommend them! read more

I needed a same day service and Hung Tailoring came to the rescue as not many were open on Sunday. I brought my boyfriends pant suit to be hemmed about 3 inches and the lady did it within an hour. It costed $7 and she did a neat job. I'm so glad I found them and will be back. read more

Originally I was going to a different establishment to have my entire suit fitted, but none were open at the time. I searched high and low for a business but couldn't find one. This was when I stumbled upon Hung Tailoring. I made a phone call and he answered, which was great and even more reassuring was that he was open. I didn't mention this in the beginning, but it was Thanksgiving day and Mr. Hung was open for business trying to get many of his orders completed. I arrived with my suit and he had me try it on. He asked me what I needed done and I showed him, but what was more important was that he gave me his advice on what he could do to make the suit look as special as it was. I was skeptical at first but after explaining everything to me I felt well assured that it was going to be great. The most important factor here was that I needed it done by Saturday for a wedding. When I told Mr. Hung that he seemed very surprised and kept quite for what felt like longer than a few seconds. Amazingly enough he told me that he could get it done and I was ecstatic. Friday comes and I'm at the edge of my seat wondering if he'll be able to complete it by the deadline, and sure enough I recieve a phone call from Mr. Hung. I answered the phone and he said that my suit was ready. I was in complete shock because not only did he complete my suit a day before, but it came out perfect. I could not have asked for a better experience at all. Mr. Hung has gained a customer for life, and I really appreciate the craftsmanship and his attention to detail. $4 for a straight hem and $8 for original hem (reattach). I think taking in shirts is around $10. They have a small dressing room for you to try on the clothes and the lady there (who is really nice) will pin the clothes where you want it. The work is usually pretty good. Maybe some leftover over threads or markings here and there but nothing big. I definitely trust them with my designer jeans. I got some shirts taken in and some came out perfect, some came out a little tight. I think the work is outsourced to other seamstresses so the lady usually tries to give you a 2-3 day turnaround time but if you ask for same day service, she can probably do it for you. read more

4 Bucks to hem pants! And they do a great job. Cuffs and other special jobs cost a little more, but still less expensive then other places. If quality and price were not enough, they also have same day service for no extra charge. Wow! I have had almost a dozen pants hemmed here, and my wife two dozen. Perfect every time. Have you ever had that sinking feeling you get when things are going very bad, very fast? Such was the feeling my wife had when trying on a bridesmaid's dress this past Saturday night. That's right, with the wedding the next day, the dress DID...NOT...FIT. She is in full blown panic with the wedding 16 hours away. So what is a super terrific husband to do (talking about me now)? Through Yelp, I find a few places that are open on Sundays within 20 miles and tell her I will drive to each one to get it fixed in time. So yesterday morning, the first tailor I try says they can have it ready late that night. The second is closed. Now I too am getting that sinking feeling that this won't end well. Enter Hung Tailoring. I show up and the tailor looks it over and thinks she might be able to take it out a little bit out. After some minor pleading on my part, she says she can have it ready by 1, which is 3 hours before the wedding starts. I come back at 1 and she has it ready just then, and it looks great. I rush the dress to my wife and the dress fit perfectly. What went from being a sure disaster turned into a great success. Thanks Hung Tailoring for making me a hero to everyone in the wedding party. I can do no wrong now. Oh yeah, and it was only $30. That has got to be the lowest price ever for a miracle. read more

Zero stars if possible! At first they were a gem. Always brought them customers, she knew my aunt. Original hem for designer jeans and work slacks were my staple. She used to get them done same day, sometimes it would take a few days depending on how many items. After a few times with pants I started to bring in more intricate (nicer) items. The first dress she would talk me out of fixing, stating that it wouldn't be possible.. But then the truth comes out and she wanted my dress for herself! She said she can't fix it, but I said well I bought it online so I don't want to deal with shipping. Should of just took it elsewhere. But she insists she will buy it from me! Naive and young as I was I accepted her offer. Should have took that as a sign of what kind of sneaky crooked seamstress she is! BTW Hemming a dress is not hard to do. It is not impossible. She was either 1. LAZY to do it but more likely 2. She coveted the dress for herself! Why fix it for me when she basically shopped and bought it for herself! Totally unprofessional!! Because I didn't know any better I brought my friend in to get her bday party dress hemmed, along with some brand new pants I bought from Express (about 4-5 pairs). She said she would need some time to do it all. My friend says she needs the dress asap but has to work so she asks me in front of the seamstress to pick it up for her. Every one agreed that it would be fine. I would have to come back later for the pants though. She never calls or never gives a proper receipt but I never thought it was necessary as it was never an issue before. She knew me by name as I'd come often. You can't expect too much from a small Vietnamese mom and pop shop any way. Besides she was my aunt's friend so no harm right? A few days pass and I come in to get the dress and she demands that I show her a receipt! She acted as if I was a stranger! Mind you I came here for years! I got on the phone with my friend and only then she brought out the dress. But she still wouldn't give it to me because she said it's not mine! It even had a slip that she tagged to it with MY name on it!!! She still refused so I left. I thought well maybe it's the language or cultural barrier so let's get my aunt on the phone... My aunt says she's out of town, go back there with your mom. Maybe your mom can talk it out with her.. Maybe my Vietnamese is to blame. Dude. The vile woman struck my mom! SHE STRAIGHT UP STEALS GARMENTS AND THEN ATTACKS YOU WHEN YOU CALL HER OUT!! She started to pull my mom's hair and I literally was dumbfounded! Mind you my mother is of retirement age, sweetest, quiet and proper woman. My mom wasn't even mad or rude about it. She just wanted to hear what she had to say about it and instead of being a grown woman about it she went straight to physical contact! We did not deserve to be assaulted. All we wanted was our clothes back. She claims I never brought in any pants. That she doesn't recognize me. In summary she jacked all of my work slacks and assaulted my mom during the process. She goes I'll call the cops, I said please do! But I beat her to it and we managed to at the very least leave with my friend's dress which still had MY name tag pinned to it!!! THE NERVE! NEVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN! Don't worry I will be back with a full Vietnamese translation so that all of Little Saigon can understand the utmost foul and horrible service this evil crooked woman will do to her most loyal customers. UPDATE: now she's got her kid son harassing me! Does anyone know if we can upload video footage on this piece? Because I would love to show this kid what an insane person his mother really is. Mr. Hung, is my to go guy for tailoring needs. I've recently shredded some weights and none of my pants fits me anymore. Instead of buying new pants, I decided to give this Tailoring place a try. Okay, so I'm a big guy, I'll start off by saying my thighs are bigger then my calf's and every pair of pants I purchase seem to be very wide in the calf area, almost proportional to the thighs, so it's rather difficult to find a 44 waist with legs that suit and fit me nicely. I took a pair of pants to this tailor in a hurry praying he wouldn't let me down. This man and his wife are amazing. The finished product looks factory, the fit is on spot. I'm so impressed with his skill and professionalism, I need not search any further. This is now my go to!! I always like to support small businesses as they make the city thrived. I've had Mr. Hung tailored 4 pants for me from the fabrics I brought in. He somehow made the very first pair too big for me on the waste which I waited an hour for him to make the adjustment, which then fits fine. Came back 10 days later to pick up the other pants. I tried one of the pants on and I couldn't even zip it up because it was way too small. I am not sure if he had used the wrong measurement or what, but he complained that the fabric shrunk and that he spent too much time making my pants. The 3rd pair had the zipper looking protruding. I did brought in new fabric so he can make it from scratch again. He refused to do it & started to give me an attitude. I had to come back a week later to pick these up because he had to fix them. The pants did turned out good after a few adjustments. But it was his attitude that I didn't appreciate. Please don't tell me that you have wasted your time making my pants! I paid him & he should be ok making it right for me. His wife (chi Vân) was pleasant. However, I was not happy with anh Hung's attitude. He made me feel uncomfortable as a customer & that I have committed a crime. service, service, service please. Put a smile on your face, be courteous. We pay you to get the work done. I went to get a pair of suit pants tailored by having the waist taken in, the legs hemmed, and the legs tapered, and all of this was done on the same day. I was able to pick it up within 2 hours of dropping off! Overall would highly recommend this place for efficient and fast service and tailoring, prices were also very competitive! read more
