This is crazy....i barely moved this around. Presentation terrible. Peel still on the fruit. CRAZYYYYY

Update: just went by for the first time in years. The smell was so strong and so fragrant my wife and I left after being there for just a few minutes. Idk who owns this place but if it could ever get back to the days when vice and virtue was in there, man they were the best coffee shop/bakery in town

Started off a raspberry mocha latte. Balanced coffee drink. Inreally like when I can still taste the espresso with the syrup and oat milk. Had pizza and fries for dinner as we hung out last night with friends to catch up during the holiday. The pizza was quite tasty. I enjoyed the sourdough bread that was topped with cheese, white sauce and mushrooms. The pizza dough reminded me of focaccia. Very pillowy and seasoned well. The bottom was crunchy and tasty. The fries were good but the kitchen was out of aioli. Still the fries were hot and the salsa added a different flavor. Service was excellent at the coffee bar. Shoutout to Caleb and his nice, courteous and helpful demeanor. The server at the bar was so nice too. I forgot his name but he was super friendly. My pizza was 1/2 off since it was 4-6 which is the scheduled happy hour. The cool vibes of the hotel lobby are ultra inviting with chairs, sofas, community table and side tables. I really like the aesthetics of the Arrive Hotel. Hope to stay in one of the rooms for a stay cation in the Mtown! I know I will be back for coffee and other foods at Hustle and Dough!

Hustle & Dough in Memphis is such a fun little gem to stumble across. The whole space feels cozy and inviting, but also a step above your usual coffee-and-pastry spot. The aesthetic is really well done. It's warm, modern, and just a place you actually want to hang out in for a while. The staff were great and super helpful, especially when it came to working around a few syrups they were out of. They offered substitutions without any fuss, and it honestly worked out for the better. All of their syrups are made in-house, and you can really taste the difference! They're fresh and not overly sweet or artificial. We ordered a Bourbon Mocha and a Carrot Cake Latte (which was absolutely to die for), and decided to keep breakfast on the lighter side with a slice of sourdough and two cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls, though, are not your typical style. Instead of the usual big, fluffy roll, they spiral the dough tightly and bake it that way. The result is this super fun, peel-apart situation where you're unraveling layer after layer. It feels like there are eight layers of cinnamon-sugar goodness to work through! Overall, Hustle & Dough has great coffee, thoughtful house-made syrups, unique pastries, and a really welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I'd go back to next time I'm in Memphis.

Really enjoyed this pizza place. It's inside a very cool boutique hotel in downtown Memphis. The thick cut pizza was outstanding- crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, and loaded with a ton of flavor. The hot honey was a perfect addition. Chef Kiss. The bartender who took my food order was amazing. She also makes some amazing cocktails. This place has a really great bar and a very sophisticated drink menu. It's a must try if you are in the Memphis downtown area. It's very close to Beale Street.

Recently visited and I love the ambiance. Very calm and inviting. Great for alternative work site. Ample seating room, free wifi and outlets. Im not a coffee person but there are teas on the menu. I chose the black tea with lavender added assuming it would be hot. However, it was served iced which threw me off a little. The tea was still good however it didnt help me with the cold weather. Others in my party ordered tea, which was served hot so I was very confused. If I visit again, I guess I'll specific hot as this wasn't asked of me when ordering. Overall, I did enjoy the space.

Atmosphere is 10/10. The cafe is inside a 4 star hotel. Look at the pictures of the hotel lobby, just stunning with reburnished classical design. There are couches and table where you can chill and enjoy some food and drinks. Other reviews about their food looks very good too. But I didn't get to try it . About coffee, look at the picture of my iced latte. It is white. Doesn't taste bad but the barista needs more training for sure.

It's not quite fair that I tell you about our time at H&D. I mean that the service was really good and the food was pretty tasty. So why wouldn't it be fair? Great question. We were so hungry that evening downtown that we went into Hustle & Dough while they were renovating the space. That's it. There are little to no available affordable food spots without a waiting list or...with one for that matter. It was a weeknight too! So we didn't care that there was a big plastic sheet hanging from the ceiling and the music of carpentry interrupted the house audio--we wanted FOOD. We got it~ yep, we did. It was a great appetizer and delicious pizza. The service was especially good with all of the commotion. Drop in! It should be just fine by the time you read this.

Hustle & Dough is a beautiful cafe that shares space with their bar located in the lobby of the Arrive Hotel. The quirky decor and interior design are artsy and fun! Love the bright colors paired with antique furniture. The host and baristas are all friendly and courteous. I loved their barrel aged bourbon mocha latte and coconut lavender latte. Definitely a must stop when in downtown Memphis.

Memphis, TN. I located this establishment by YELP recommendations. Originally I was going to walk the path from the River Crossing, but I needed lunch so I drove. Easy parking on a Sunday.. The staff was mildly friendly, that's ok, better than grumpy. There was some famous musician there (No, I don't know who it was). He was being interviewed on camera and his whole band was participating. Steph got her picture taken with him but I still don't know much about him. My turkey sandwich was almost all bread, maybe two very thin slices of turkey. Steph's sandwich was similar, she got more out of it (Flavor wise) by discarding the top piece of bread. Plenty of lettuce in each Sammy though, maybe just call them "Lettuce Sandwiches?" The lattes are weak, I would pass if I were to come this way again.

Yogurt parfait - so good!! Picture doesn't do it justice.

First time in Memphis, and found Hustle & Dough for coffee right down the street from my hotel. I travel A LOT for work and am always trying new cafes and coffee shops, and this will go down as one of my favorite. Didn't plan on getting food, but I love a good yogurt parfait. And OMG am I so glad I ordered it. Such a fun spin on a traditional parfait using mandarin instead of traditional berries. The granola was homemade, and you could tell. The yogurt was whipped to perfection, and not too sweet! The cortado was also excellent, and the ambiance was great. Plenty of comfortable seating and tastefully designed. Highly recommend!

    Avocado toast

This review is for my texture people!!!! The coffee is good. I got the bourbon mocha which had good flavor but texturally I probably should have gotten it hot cause cold the mocha curdled at the bottom. Today I got the avocado toast as well. The bread...grilled to perfection. However I don't prefer sliced avocado on toast... it does nothing but fall off. Also not sure who decided to put pepitas on just bread & avocado but it wasn't a good idea to me. Avocado is already creamy & I would have preferred a tomato or some pico or something so the toast was so thick & dry. There wasn't a speck of salt or pepper either making it bland. Not even a squeeze of lime. The toast has potential just needs another level of flavor & texture in my opinion oh and at least some salt & pepper.

This place is amazing. Soon as you walk in the decor and vibe makes you want to just sit and relax. Staff was great for recommendations. Came in looking for a snack and was recommended the pizza. Was not expecting what I got. An elegant tray of salad, spices and a worthy pizza. Washed it all down with a nice Latte. Overall I just wanted to camp out and enjoy the ambiance.

Ask the Community - Hustle & Dough

Are there any gluten free options for toasts or other things? I didn't see any on the menu. Thanks!

Not at this time. It's a very small operation (and kitchen), and any alternatives would need to be prepared in a dedicated environment to be completely gluten-free.

Sunrise Memphis did not disappoint. We stopped in around 12:30 p.m. on a Wednesday and didn't experience any crowds or much of a lunch rush. That being said, after eating here, I completely understand why people mention waiting hours on weekends. The ordering process is simple: walk up to the counter, place your order, grab a number, and seat yourself. I appreciated that they offer both breakfast and lunch all day because it meant we didn't have to choose between the two. I ordered the chicken tenders with tater tots and an Arnold Palmer. Everything was fresh, hot, and exactly the kind of comfort food you crave in the middle of a long road trip. Kyler ordered the Kitchen Sink, which came with eggs, bacon, hash browns, grits, and a biscuit. He asked if he could swap the cheesy grits and biscuit for biscuits and gravy, and they ended up bringing him everything anyway! It was a massive meal, but absolutely delicious. Beyond the food, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also loved the fun, eclectic atmosphere. The colorful Memphis touches throughout the restaurant gave it so much personality, and there was even a bar area that made me think this would be an absolute blast for brunch with friends. Sunrise Memphis ended up being one of our favorite surprises of the entire drive. If you're passing through town, do yourself a favor and stop here.

I ordered the Juniper Benedict and my friend ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy. The bacon potatoes were cooked perfectly, soft and slightly crunchy with plenty of cheese and bacon. The eggs in my eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and they used a regular house-made biscuit that soaked up the egg yolks perfectly. The restaurant was pretty big, but the ambiance felt like a small-town diner. The staff was super kind and attentive, too. The cost is par for the course for a nice diner in a big city. The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!
