This place is AWESOMENESS!!! Try it really. I am picky when it comes to sushi. So far out of 5 different reasonably priced places in Dallas that I have tried this place is bar none the best here. Appearance: This place isn't dolled up like some of the other spots I've tried but don't let the appearance fool you. It's great for a group of friends or for a casual date. If you are looking for fancy this isn't it :) Service: They have a great staff which is never a bad thing. Every time we walk in we are greeted at the door and promptly given menus when we sit. Food: They serve FREE miso soup. I think I was incredibly spoiled back home (GA) b/c I thought that was supposed to be the case lol. Anywho of the places I've gone this is one of few that has and it is actually good (some have tasted like flavored water with tofu added - yuck). Next the sushi! The bento boxes served here are very close to traditional and remind me of japantown in california. I ordered their teriyaki chicken bento box. The tempura included with it has the right crunch to it and doesn't feel greasy at all. Their dipping sauce is very light and doesn't overpower the tempura. I usually don't have tempura'd gyoza, and it was so perfectly cooked. The salad they included was perfect because of flavor of the rice vinegar and the texture of the daikon. I loved that I didn't have to worry about biting into the tail when it came to the shrimp tempura. The teriyaki chicken itself was evenly cooked, it wasn't charred by their grill, it was very tender, the serving was equally balanced with the ammount of rice given, and it had just the right ammount of sauce. The meal itself had a perfect balance and didn't give me a crash and burn feeling when I as full. It really reminds me of home. I have yet to try the rolls, which is silly of me, considering that this is a sushi place.. and I shall get to that soon. But I've got to say, the staff is hilarious. During my dining experiences here, I've had the joy of listening to one of the waitresses discuss her urges to binge, or talk about her dog on other occasions. read more

You can order teriyaki, tempura, salads, and sushi. I've tried them all and all are excellent. Beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian main courses are featured. We had a sushi carving that day that we went. It was payday so my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to sushi. I went on Yelp and saw all the positive review. And the complementary miso soup was really good. We order 4 rolls, the Texan, Louisiana, Spider and the other one I can't remember. But it was all really good. My favorite was the spider roll. When the rolls first came out we were surprise that it was that big. When all four rolls came out we knew we had order one too many but it was all so good. Definitely going back again. I saw a neighboring table ordering the Tokyo Tower, and from the reviews that I read it was really good. Seeing the actually dish come out. I have decided I wanted to try the Tokyo Tower next time we go there. The shop was a clean Japanese feeling little sushi shop. In my point of view it really is one of the best sushi place in Denton. I Love Sushi (also referred to locally as I "Heart" Sushi, is a green restaurant. I mean, it is really green! The walls are painted this ghostbusters slime green color! And its lit up like the 4th of July inside. Way too bright. even if just for the sake of the stoney dude who waited on us, please dim the atmosphere just a bit. I'm sure his pupils will be grateful! Other than the color scheme, the place seemed clean enough, it was however, a bit cramped. The patio outside seemed enjoyable. But for any reservations I had about the setting, the food more than made up for it! I have never been to this place and I have to say that our outing to I Love Sushi made our night. I'd say this is my favorite sushi place in Denton mostly because I live close to it. The service is really nice and they give you pretty awesome soup if you dine in, but I mostly do take-out. You can keep it pretty cheap if you stick to the simple rolls, and everything I've tried has been good so far. I don't understand the reviews that say this place smells fishy. It is in fact not true at all! I didn't like sushi until I ate at I Love Sushi, so it holds true to its name. I had tried it a couple of times before and thought that the fish just didn't taste fresh. My first time at I Love Sushi, I ate so much of it I thought I was going to die. It was great. And I'm not talking cooked sushi rolls, I'm talking actual sushi - raw fish on top of sushi rice. Their prices are fair for the quality of food you receive. Especially compared to prices closer to Dallas, where you have to PAY for miso soup, and the servings are so small. Not true with I Love Sushi! You will not go hungry, but if you still have some room left, try the tempura ice cream (plum wine flavor)!!!! The atmosphere is also really great in my opinion. I wish they didn't play Top 40 type music, but the decor is nice and the staff is always very friendly.
