Walked in to this dimly lit bar/restaurant down the street from our Hotel. Was greeted by a gentleman who sat us by the bar. My wife ordered a Tito's and soda. He asked if she meant , "Starry or soda", she said soda please. He came back and said they were out of Tito's so she got grey goose instead. He brought out a vodka tonic instead. She said "this isn't a soda this is tonic". He said that's why he asked, but then found a bottle of soda water and realized he was wrong. We ordered the fried cauliflower and tahini and spinach artichoke dip. Cauliflower had ABSOLUTELY ZERO seasoning on the cauliflower OR the batter. The tahini was even worse. Taste and texture of glue. Gummy and gross. Spinach artichoke dip was fine. Had a quarter of a cup of it. Chips were too greasy and overcooked. We told the waiter and he said they aren't allowed to refund or help anyone because of "taste". Obviously seems like a problem they have a lot. We asked for a manager, and he said he was the manager. We asked for the bill, he brought it to us and included the 20% tip for a party of 2. I feel like they ripped us off with the food and the service. BE AWARE, this place is shady. Gross food. I went with a group of friends and was a little skeptical following our research and some Reddit posts about it being on Kitchen Nightmares but the service was top notch and the food was amazing! Neil was an amazing host and everyone else was constantly checking in on us. There was a live performer who also was great. Hells Kitchen did not save this place unfortunately. We went on New Year's Eve as it was the only place in the French Quarter without a queue (for good reason). We sat at the bar that did not have a bartender (she was "in the back" whatever that means). The four employees working the front were so kind and entertaining but absolutely struggling. We couldn't get the cocktails we wanted because the servers 1. Did not know how to make them and 2. Couldn't find any simple syrup. My husband ordered a medium burger and got an extra rare burger. The kitchen staff argued with our waiter that it's what we ordered. Again front house was super kind but such a shit experience overall. We wanted to visit this restaurant after seeing it in Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl. The restaurant was clean and very spacious. The seating at the bar is great. We never knew this restaurant existed. It's always fun to try new places. We shared a cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly. The French fries were super as well. We met Bonnie and she is authentic and delightful. We enjoyed chatting with her about the whole filming and Gordon Ramsey experience. We are adding this restaurant as our go to whenever we have visitors and go into the city. Great parking garage right next door. Just don't eat here. Please. Wait the 30-60 min wait time at any other restaurant. It seemed like a scheme or at the very least extremely mismanaged. Waiter was nice but put in the wrong order and told us we were wrong when we corrected him, and the food took over an hour and 1/2 to not come. We left in tiredness and frustration after arguing with the waiter over what we would pay for based on what food came. I ended up paying for a pasta that never came and never got a copy or picture of the receipt due to the waiter/staff never getting around to us. Here is the situation: they are not busy on a Friday at 7pm. That should tell you everything. My friend was hungry, wanted to pee and wanted a cocktail. Service was decent. At first I ordered an old fashioned but the make it with Jameson (gross) and I asked for it to be made with bourbon, the only bourbon they had was Jim Beam (peanut funk/ peanut aftertaste) . Since they couldn't accommodate, i ordered a Sazerac which was so heavy with anise flavor it was un drinkable. We aske another couple about the food, they said the gumbo was ok, not great. The fisherman's platter was awful and had no seasoning. We took that as a sign, settled out tab and left. This is a no for me, dawg. Find anything else. read more

Although the ambiance is beautiful, the customer service from both management and the owners is extremely disappointing. The waitstaff was kind and tried their best, but it was clear many are new, likely due to high turnover which seems to stem from poor leadership and lack of customer service at the management level. What was most frustrating was the handling of the specials. They are clearly posted outside the restaurant and confirmed by the servers, yet management changed the specials mid-dining experience, varying them by table and party. Came after watching Kitchen Nightmares.... They have let this place go back to hell. Service was great, we were the only people there so everyone was nice. Drinks were okay. We ordered both versions of oysters and they were just okay. Too salty and no oyster flavor. The Cajun fries were good though. Bathrooms are nasty... women's stalls didn't work. There was a cockroach in the urinal. I am so sad the Gordon spent all his time and money, for them to only go back to their old ways. The chef is still the plumber and he was sweet. My wife and I recently watched an episode of Gordon Ramsay's " kitchen, nightmare" . And since we don't live far from New Orleans and I work there every day, I decided to plan an overnight trip and catch iberville cuisine for dinner after a show at Sanger Theatre. Taking advantage of the fact that I work in New Orleans I decided to swing by Iberville cuisine just to see if maybe I needed to make reservations based on how busy they might be. I actually drove by before they were open, which I found surprising as it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a Wednesday just prior to Mardi Gras season. It is a high traffic area this time of year and there were a lot of pedestrians. This being said, I decided just in case to go ahead and make reservations I selected 6 PM as our show was at eight. And we're surprised to get that time, considering the popularity of Gordon Ramsay show and the high traffic through that area. Fast forward to our reservation time when we arrived and entered the foyer area. It seemed pleasant with the standard New Orleans furnishings. It was a little dark, but that's pretty much the same across the board in the French quarters for establishments. We were about five minutes early and there were no hostess or host at the front to greet you. There was a young lady at the bar that greeted us very pleasantly. I noticed there were two other tables with 2 diners each already seated as we walked to our table. It was pretty wide open so we chose to sit in the recessed area across from the bar just to the left of the entrance. Along our path to the table there was a bucket, rags, and a ladder lying on its side. Once seated my wife pointed out the dead plants around the fountain in the area where we were seated. Not that this has an effect on the taste of our food but you do have a certain expectation after watching Gordon turn the place around and he walks away with his stamp of approval on it. The waitress was energetic and outgoing. Maybe a little too much so, because when I ordered the crab cake she smirked her nose and shook her head. Of course we asked if it wasn't good. She said it's okay but overpriced for one as an appetizer, which I don't disagree however, unless it isn't good then don't discourage patrons from spending money. I get what she was trying to do but down in the "market" area it's mainly tourists who visit your establishment once in a lifetime, or once or twice a year. When they get home from New Orleans the last thing on their mind is whether they got a good value from the crab cake. BTW it was 1 each crab cake for 14 dollars. And really when you break that down, it's not bad when you consider a pound of crab is 25 bucks right now. Anyway to keep from typing all that was right or wrong, here's the breakdown on my score. Cleanliness-3 Food-3 Service-4 Ambience-3 I had grilled oysters which were inconsistent, some were dry, some were undercooked. I would tell you to not choose these because they don't know what they're doing. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits and she said the taste was good but the fact that they left the tails on and you had to fish them out of the sauce was disappointing. read more

We recently went to New Orleans for a Saints game and stopped by for dinner. We were one of the 3 groups seated in establishment during peak hrs (7pm-ish). The service from the waitresses was poor without providing salt upon multiple requests. All of the food I received was charred including the blackened drum, crab cake, and brussel sprouts. In particular, the brussel sprouts were burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside with no apparent flavor and crunchy. It took us 45 min. to receive our food with no waiters or waitresses present for 5+ min. on multiple occasions in the dining area. Additionally, our party had issues selecting tips options with the establishment having issues allowing us to change the tip amount. I do not recommend this place. Where do I start?!? The food or the service? Both were terrible....the owner came over when we first sat down to tell us that he was the owner and that he'd been in business 6 weeks. The service was terrible. We had been sitting down about 5 minutes before the server came over and asked if we all wanted water. The waitress proceeded to take our orders, and the food took an extremely long time to come to the table. I ordered The Captain's Platter....the shrimp and oysters were good. The fries weren't edible.....they were rubbery as if they were old/recooked. The crab cake tasted like dressing . I didn't even taste the the fish. My aunt ordered the shrimp pasta.....she said that it was bland and cold. It was inedible. My sister ordered shrimp Po-boy. She asked 4 times for mayonnaise for her sandwich. She had to get up twice to ask for the mayonnaise. By the time the waitress finally brought the mayonnaise, her food was cold. My sister and I asked for a mojito....my first one had something floating in it. The waitress took it back to remake it, and the remake tasted like water. I tasted my sister's drink; hers was straight alcohol....no mint flavor and tasted nothing like a mojito! Lastly, when it was time for the bill, the waitress didn't bring us a receipt. She just came to the table and announced the prices according to what we ordered. My mom asked for a house salad to replace the French fries. They brought her both and wanted to charge her for the salad. We got that straight, and my mom gave the waitress a $100 bill to pay for her food and my cousin's food. The cashier added a gratuity without telling her. I paid with my card and didn't leave a gratuity....my sister and aunt paid with $100 bills, and were asked if they wanted to pay a gratuity. After I complained that we didn't see a sign anywhere that said parties of 6 or more would include the gratuity, the proud owner came over to show us where it was mentioned on the back of the menu in smaller print about the gratuity policy. That actually was fine because we know gratuity is automatically added for 6 people or more. I told him that I wanted to talk to him about certain things. He cut me off and told me that he'd be back in a minute to hear my complaint. Of course, he NEVER came back; in fact he went to the back and didn't come back out while we were there. I personally think he should have wanted to listen to his customers. We were only going to talk about ways to improve his business, but he was not interested. The head waitress finally agreed to refund my mom's gratuity, and it took over 10 minutes for her to refund my mom's money. My mother gave the refunded money to the waitress who served us because she was professional the entire time and truly deserved the tip. We don't mind tipping for good/great service, but poor service deserves nothing. I'll never eat there again, and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else does either. The food and the service deserve a rating of -5. Look at the amount of food that we all left on the table. No one asked for a carry out bag! read more

We are so happy we found this gem! My sister in law and I came in with our children (2 & 3) the vibe was so comforting and welcoming. Immediately from walking in we were greeted with such kindness. We didn't want to disturb any other guests with unruly children and thought we should order to go. The staff offered a table in a back room that ended up working out fabulous. Every person we came into contact with service was above and beyond from the man outside the door to our waitress Neki to the chef him self. The food absolutely met and exceeded all expectations of traditional southern home cooking. Our only regret was not coming here sooner in our trip. My experience was top notch. I love the French Quarter and every time I visit when in New Orleans I have to visit this restaurant. The food gives me a delicious taste of creole flavors from their seafood platters to the shrimp and grits you can tell they pour that New Orleans flavor on thick. We're always so impressed with the service the wait staff are so attentive and always willing to give you a great smile.
