Our attic is very poorly insulated and there are holes in the duct work so they will replace the duct work and install new insulation; their assessment was thorough and they provided us with detailed information about the work that was needed. In addition, they promptly responded to my call regarding one of our air conditioning units, which stopped working after receiving some water damage from the excessive rains we recently had. After tossing a guy out from George Brazil (do not use those guys....) who literally spent 5 minutes diagnosing the system and then immediately went into a sales pitch trying to sell me an $11,000 unit, I called Ideal Energy as they came highly recommended, and they did not disappoint! I downsized to a new house in September 2017. My previous house was 2 story but had a separate HVAC system for upstairs and downstairs. The new house is 2 story but only one HVAC system that was 11 years old but worked. I quickly noticed the house was very cold downstairs when the ac was on and much warmer upstairs...about a 6 degree very noticeable difference between upstairs and downstairs and and the master bedroom was about 3 degrees warmer than the rest of the upstairs and maybe 8 degrees warmer than the downstairs. I was told by another HVAC company that a variable speed unit would help with the uneven temperatures but they didn't recommend anything else and their price seemed high. So I started calling other companies and found the other HVAC company's price they quoted was truly high. I had Ideal Energy come out and they recommended remodeling and sealing the duct work and a few other things. I asked about a new system because the house has the original ac from the builder and probably would last another couple years at the most. I was advised that the Trane Variable Speed system would work best. And I was quoted a better price than the other company. So, I had all the work done...Duct work and Trane Variable speed system. What an amazing difference! The house now has even temperatures...upstairs, downstairs, and master bedroom. You don't have to live with uneven temperatures in a 2 story house. It can be corrected! All of the employees were very nice and polite. They covered my carpets and cleaned up everything very well when they were done...and I'm picky about cleaning so if I say it was done well that says a lot. read more

My family and I moved into a 1950's home in N.Central Phx 2 years ago. We knew the home had issues--10 tons of AC for 3500 sq ft of living space in all the wrong areas. Old Hard Duct mixed in with flex ducts that had very little air flow in parts of the home. Insulation that was spotty and not complete. I started the process of finding a solution to our comfort issues in our home. The journey was not easy. In February this year, I started with the reputable HVAC companies in my area. I had 2 smaller HVAC contractors and Howard Air, Day and Night Air, Hobaica (was the worst), and Larson Air(good). Alex was the ONLY contractor who provided a complete solution to the many problems. The other companies either provided a partial solution or did not even follow-up because the scope of the work was too much for their busy schedule. Alex was the only one who crawled up into my attic space on a 105 degree day and provided solutions to insulate areas of my attic and roof that others did not even suggest or recommend. He did his J-Load Calculations and recommended 7 tons of ac for my home, along with proper size ducts and insulation. At first I was worried that the tonnage was undersized because other contractors had recommended that I maintain 10 tons of ac. The team at Ideal Energy along with the project managers were all professional. They made sure to place protective plastic and blankets over the work area every day and they vacuumed and cleaned up at the end of the day. The entire project took 6 days. The whole team was very professional. They showed up on time. They were very receptive to any questions I had. And they did all of this on the hottest week of June when the temperatures were over 110 degrees. My family are I are now 1 month into our newly updated home by Ideal Energy, and the improvement is amazing. The overall cost was on par if not better than the few partial quotes I received. The first available appointment was 2 months from now. I was surprised since all the yelp reviews indicate how fast they are able to schedule and do work. This does not appear to apply to attic insulation and ac duct work. If they have a 2 month wait list I assume they do good work. However, 2 months is a little too long of a wait. read more

Ideal Energy is AMAZING!!! I had the company come out and bid the work for my AC, duct work, and insulation. They were extremely professional, competitively priced, clean, on time, and did QUALITY work. I wish I could post pics to show my SRP scorecards and the quality of the work, but I'll summarize. In July 2012, before installation of the new AC (Trane) and duct work, my home had a scorecard rating of 10 (least efficient), and in August I had dropped to a 4 (in 1 month), and now consistently receive scores of 2-3. My home is 2 stories and approximately 2000 sq ft w/ no pool. My bills in 2012 went from $380 (July) to $215 (August) to $190 (September), and in 2011 my bills were $395 (July) to $470 (August) to $505 (September). The owners of Ideal Energy LLC also took their time to research all of the government/energy credits and assisted me in making the process simple to receive my credits/refunds. I used Ideal Energy for insulation and duct work and was incredibly impressed with the quality of service, honesty, as well as their comprehensive approach to finding a solution that will be the best outcome for the customer (not just what will make them the most money or be easiest to push onto a customer). I don't know where to start but long story short, I initially contacted Alex and Elena at ideal energy because my summer cooling bills were ridiculous and some rooms in the house were warmer than others. I was sent Theo for a 3 hour thorough inspection and analysis and Theo knew exactly what he was doing. This was a guy who was a subject matter expert and provided me with a dozen page report detailing everything. It turned out that my insulation in the attic and the duct system was all messed up. So I scheduled an appointment for them to take care of all of those issues. Our AC stopped working last Thursday and we called Ideal Energy based on the great reviews. They were able to come that evening (amazing!) and Alex diagnosed the problem with the outside unit and while it was filling up with coolant he went into the attic area to check on that part of the unit. Thank goodness he did, there was a leak up there, one of the pipes was clogged, which he fixed, and then he noticed a couple of the ducts were kinked which was limiting the air flow to out downstairs. Our AC has never worked better and we are so thankful that Alex was able to come by the same day we called and fix all these issues. Two years ago, Ideal Energy did some work on my old house to improve it's energy efficacy. The results was lower bills this last summer. So when my furnace started spewing carbon monoxide I called them and some other BBB A+ firms. A while back, Ideal Energy did an energy audit for us with pictures, numbers, and graphs of how we could improve our home's energy efficiency. They were extremely nice, professional, and timely. They answered all of our questions. Just recently, they fixed/repaired all of our AC ducts and added a bunch of necessary installation. They were very clean and worked quickly and efficiently. They took before & after pictures to show everything they did. Our AC air is now much cooler and blows more efficiently/better.
