Service was horrible. There was hardly any people in here and she, Laura was nice, but very slow we waited like 5 mins for water and then when food finally came our orders were wrong, come on. Eggbeaters is NOT egg whites. It was quite sad, as there were other weary travelers that had no idea what was coming. SLOW SERVICE! Sorry Laura, but I've had better. Not too great of a visit here. I had to grab hot sauce and ketchup off another table because the waitress didn't bring any. She just dropped the food off and walked away. I also found it odd that they'd allow a table full of noisy girls constantly cuss while sitting across from a family with small children. The waitress was also unclear about what came with the special of the day pancake plate, resulting in a larger bill because we had to pay for the items separately. We were running late and took a while paying for our food due to that confusion. On a good note, the salad lettuce is good quality. I didn't think it could get any worse until I came here.... right off the freeway, right by the gas station.... should have known. It was disgusting inside and the service was not service! Our waitress was distracted and concerned about the table next to us. Messed up our order not once, not twice, but THREE times! And all our food was cold!! I couldn't wait to get out of there! Perfectly decent, very nice staff, and fast. Had a pattymelt which was good. Some hashbrowns a bit crispier than cared for, but no real issues. Restroom was clean. I'd say 4 stars for the better-than-expected experience, and 3 stars cause... it's an IHOP. read more

It is hard to say that iHop is a 5 star restaurant, but for what an iHop is, this one rocked our socks off. Service was awesome, the food came out quickly, hot, and perfectly cooked. I came to this IHOP to have breakfast with my family as we had just picked up my daughters in Stockton which is 6 hours away and when we entered premises we were asked to sit in back away from other people as I was accompanied by my Service Animal. According to the law we are supposed to eat anywhere the general public is able to eat. I was very hurt and felt discriminated because we were forced to sit in back. If it wasn't because we were 30 minutes away from other good places to eat I would have went somewhere else. I was very offended. *Update* I got a call from Manager today and instead of taken ownership of issue decided to say the above could never have happened because everyone was trained. Stopped here on our way home from a weekend at Disneyland! It was a very long trip...due to crazy, holiday weekend traffic...and this place was more than happy to promptly greet and seat us and get our order taken! Seriously this was a typical Ihop...nothing outstanding and nothing subpar. My only complaint...that I didn't voice at the time, because I was too tired to wait for another batch...was they over cooked my pancakes...I am betting it is because my husband likes his more well done, and orders his accordingly, so they did mine the same. Drove by here from Los Angeles on a late Wednesday morning. Got seated right away and staff was friendly. My only complaint was the seat I was in was not clean. It was the first thing I noticed. Food however was delicious as I had devoured one of the omelettes. Ordered a side of fresh fruit which was good as well. I would come back here but hope for more cleanliness. read more

This is the second time we have stopped here going between LA and Sac. Both times the service has been fast and amazingly friendly. This is connected to a gas station but you wouldn't know it because the restaurant is so clean. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean too. Leo and Joe have been there both times (2 years apart) and they are about as nice and helpful as it gets. We have tried other restaurants along I-5 and this is our fav because of the service and cleanliness. The food was fast and delicious. read more

I was fearful that the service was going to be slow. When I sat down I saw all of the diners at the tables around me staring at their menus and no server in sight. However the manager sprang into action and quickly took the orders from each of the tables. I asked him if it was going to take a long time to fill these orders. He assured me it would not take long and he was correct. All of the food came out quickly and was top notch, just as I have come to expect from IHOP. I was impressed to see this relatively small staff rise to the occasion as a flood of customers entered at the same time. There was only two servers working at the time and there were numerous amounts of tables to wait on, yet Leo had an awesome attitude and was on top of everything from the moment we entered the door until the moment we left. Wow is the only word that comes to mind, just wow!! I'm in utter disbelief at what just occurred here!! Normally you see this kind of negligent customer service with teenagers but the staff at this good ol' IHOP appeared to be all adults and of a healthy mind. We had the displeasure of stopping here on our way home from Northern California. It's in the middle of nowhere it seemed but there was a gas station which is exactly what we needed so we stopped. When we got out of the car the lofting smell of cow shit surrounded us. We noticed that there was an ihop attached to the gas station and we were all hungry so we thought perfect! We soon were about to find out just how wrong our thought was. My dad and son went in first while my sister and I took PennyLane and Millie potty. PennyLane couldn't get the smell of cow funk off her mind so our potty session was unsuccessful so we headed to meet our party in the IHOP when we got there we couldn't get in the doors were locked. Mind you about 4 employees passed us while we were pulling on the door and didn't say anything to us, they didn't even gesture a "hey sorry were closed" or a "hang on I'll get that for you" I mean nothing! Just walked passed us like it was normal and kept on with their serving. We saw our family who was seated at a booth and screamed through the glass that the door was locked. They looked at us with a "WTF Really?!" Look and then my son came over and pushed the door open from the inside and we walked in. I called my sister who was still outside, told her the front door was locked and said I'd just order for her. My dad and son had already ordered and when the waitress came over she had an "how the fuck did you get in and is that a pug in a sweater?!" Look on her face, she said Can I get you something so I ordered two orders of their peach crepes to go and she said oh I'm sorry were not serving food anymore. My dad who is 75 and has no filter looked at her and said what do you mean you're not serving food anymore isn't this a restaurant?! She responded with ya but our other server called in so we're closing. I don't know how exactly that makes sense but apparently to her it did. Well Dad and son ordered so I said it's ok eat yours and my sister and I will eat when we get to the next hotel. About 5 minutes later she shows back up with their food but it's bagged up to go, my dad says what is this and she says, your food and he said no it's not we didn't order to go and she said I know but we're closing so I made it to go for you! Omg my dads expression was priceless he said and I quote, "don't you have any brains?!" The girl just stood there like she was trying to compute what he just said but it wasn't registering because it was out of the ordinary then she says Can I get you anything else before you leave and my dad says, " I asked you a question which is normally followed by an answer." And all this girl can say is "ya" so it didn't take my dad long to see that conversation wasn't going anywhere, because my dad does have brains, so he took his to-go order dropped it at the front register and told the cashier exactly where he could put it. My son is trying so hard to hold back laughing and eventually he just couldn't. Even as we were leaving they were putting up no signs stating the early close and we were watching them as they were literally kicking customers out in the middle of there meal! This place is definitely not one you want to stop at if your in the area! We suggest you just wait another 45 minutes until you hit a regular town where there is no smell of cow and the servers at the ihop are not mentally handicapped. To this day I don't know what was wrong with the bacon in my sons order because he or I would not try it because when PennyLane was handed a piece she shunned it like it was a whore walking into a church. read more
