Food is ok, but really bad service! We came around lunch time. At the time we came, only us in the waiting area. We gave phone number to the hostess and wait. Then, some people came after us, gave the phone number, some not even have to gave the phone number. But the hottest let them all came in before us. We asked the hostess "why did they come after us, but they are in before us?" Then she said "now it is our turn." I don't understand, so she would not let us in until we ask??? IHOP really needs no introduction. I would imagine most everyone has either heard of or has eaten at one of their many locations around the country. And like me, your experience has probably been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Not only was today a huge 'up', it's almost always a good (if not great) experience dining at this location. They are the most consistent location in terms of good food and good service. So to despite the haters, I'm going to go against the flow of negative energy and share my experience using numbers, because they don't lie. I timed every part of our visit today in secret-shopper style. Here are the results: Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 * Arrived 11:45am - They were PACKED!!! We were told it would be a 20-25 minute wait but we were seated within 11 minutes @ 11:56am * 11:57am - Menus given and drink orders taken (only water) * 12:03pm - Water arrives and food order taken * 12:21 pm - Food arrives (everything was correct except they forgot my request for slightly melted extra butter for the pancakes) * 12:39pm - Our check was promptly delivered after finishing our meal. * In our car and on our way @ 12:42pm Michelle was our server and she was absolutely on her game today. We wanted for nothing as she remembered all the important things to a family without being asked: Refills, extra napkins for messy little hands/spills, mustard, ketchup, warm syrup and attentive service with plenty of smiles. As for the food, my Patty Melt was great! I ordered an extra patty, but they are so thick I really only needed one. It could have been a little juicer, but still acceptable. The pancakes are always delicious and my wife really enjoyed the Strawberry Vanilla stuffed French toast. Actually, my wife enjoyed her entire meal and that is a great accomplishment considering she is not a fan of IHOP. I was happy to see she was pleased with today's visit or I would have never heard the end of it since this was not her first choice (we've been disappointed at other locations several times). My children enjoyed their chicken nuggets and ham & cheese omelet. Hash browns were also great which leads me to my one and only complaint. I didn't like the French fries, mostly because they weren't hot. So they replaced them with hash browns and I was a happy camper again. THE VERDICT I'm not delusional. I know that my next meal here might completely go the other way. But for now I can confidently say this is one of the better IHOP locations I've come across. I've eaten here probably upwards of 20 times and yes, every now and then I've been disappointed. But like all good relationships, the good outweighs the bad. Today was very good! read more

This is the best IHop I have ever been to. Due to Covid our high school decided not to host a senior breakfast. A few of us decided to get together and have a small one because it's a great tradition where kids get together and are presented with letters from friends and family congratulating them and wishing them well. Ihop treated us like family. We are so grateful. We had our breakfast at 7pm because young adults don't want to wake up. Please consider planning your event at ihop and have breakfast at any time. We are from out of town. Stopped in to eat at 4122 buford rd hwy 20. Ordered the spinach omelet. Everything came on top of the omelet then no hollindaise sauce. That is the only thing i eat at ihop. For an IHOP I think this is a really good one! The servers are all super friendly and sweet. They're very accommodating- I always go with my kids and they bring extra napkins, their food out first, etc. Food comes out pretty quickly although sometimes that does vary. All in all this IHOP has ample parking, lots of seating, I've never had to wait for a table and kids eat free every day from 4-9pm to boot! read more

My kids love this place. They would eat breakfast for dinner. I like it here cause its not as burdensome if you don't feel like cooking. I like how they have Kids eat Free everyday. Our recent experience was okay. I was a bit disappointed that they ran out of all burgers that night but it was okay. We just wanted some burger/sandwich for dinner. Bad Business..care more about revenue then respect of customers!! This is where the hostess sat us as a party of three at 2pm 12/24. When she sat us, she put down the menu in one spot and walked away. When we refused to sit there, she looked as us like WE had a problem and said "You don't want to sit there from across the restaurant?" Another waitress asked us where did we want to sit and moved the menus to another booth. Brandi was sweet and very nice. Pleasant smile the entire time. Bad service, manager was unprofessional and disrespectful. Server Angelica did an outstanding service. Angelica was helping us and the manager decided to drastically change servers. We later find out that manager Brandon decided to provide service to his sister instead of our original server. This is so ridiculous. Not only did this happen but they started to take orders that came right after us, which left us behind. We immediately left and paid our drinks which were barely taken. I'm allergic to soy. It's really hard for me to go out to eat with my family. When I was living in Florida, the ihops over there always told me their eggs had soy in it. All their pancakes, too. I stopped going to ihop after that. I moved to Georgia to live with my dad and he wanted to take me to ihop for some bonding time. I looked at the allergen menu online and saw that most of the menu still has soy so i was just going to get some turkey bacon and leave it at that. But my server actually told me they can just use fresh shelled eggs so the omelettes wont have soy, so i was able to eat! It's been a while since we came to an IHOP and were happy to hear a new menu We came in and the hostess was prompt and service was quick, even though there was only one waitress in our section (about twelve tables or more). She was very attentive and polite to the best of her abilities, commendable since she was the only one. Then we ordered, and everything went downhill. My wife ordered a pancake platter, which probably had the smallest pancakes I've ever seen. I didn't see the flavoring or extras but since she didn't comment, I let it pass. In retrospect, I now realize they gave her plain pancakes and charged her for the premium ones she had ordered. My sandwich was a mess. First time around I received a big slab of fat they called bacon, it was literally fat with almost no meat. When they "fixed" it, the meat was cold and it hadn't been toasted (adding to the horrible taste) but the bacon was OK. So the third time around it came out, and whom I assume was a kitchen manager came with the item and almost threw it on the table. To top it off, I heard the jeers from the kitchen staff having a blast about it. They must've been bored and decided to entertain themselves with our order. The fried items came out OK. You may be wondering why we didn't ask for a manager; after seeing the face and behavior of the kitchen manager I knew that any complaint would not be taken seriously. We've given this location one star due to the horrible food, kitchen staff, and management who is ultimately responsible for this mess and having a single waitress do the work of at last three or four people. read more

This is more a criticism of IHOP in general than this particular store. Their website to order food works horribly. It took me about 6 tries to make it accept my home address and then after 5 tries to get it to accept my credit card I gave up. Horrible service food was not prepared well and tasted bland We only got one refill the whole time we sat to eat, I stood up to go get refills and the manager told me to wait a second. My sons food went to another table and the server tried to bring it to him after they had it for a while we asked for a new order and he didn't get it until our whole party was done. We had a very bad experience at another IHOP a few months ago, and had not gone to another one since. We decided to drop in on this one today, and we were not disappointed. We were seated and had our drinks within 3 minutes. The waiter was very efficient, took our order in a timely manner, and had our food out within another 10 minutes. Everything was hot, fresh, and cooked to order perfectly. For example, I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. Most places just put cheese on top of the eggs after they've been cooked.
