FIVE Stars for Ihop! A few weeks ago, I took my uncle to breakfast on the way to his doctor's appointment at Rancho Mirage. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the pristine cleanliness of the restaurant, including the bathroom, which was a refreshing sight. We have an IHOP in San Diego we go to often, but it's less clean than this one. The host warmly greeted us and promptly led us to our table. Our server was quick to attend to us, taking our drink orders and food preferences with a smile. I was very impressed with how fast the food came out; they seemed busy. The food was great. I love the gluten-friendly waffles and vegan sausage patties, and I greatly appreciate the fantastic service. Next time we're in Rancho Mirage and we're looking for breakfast, we will make a stop into this local Ihop! read more

It's a pet peeve when the server comes up and says what can I get you without introducing themself. Shows a lack of enthusiasm and sincerity IMO. The waitress checked on us once and didn't refill our waters. With that everything else seemed kind of standard. My french toast combo tasted as expected. read more

I am only giving one star review because the food that we had was so good. THAT IS IT. Our waiter Tania, appeared to have such a snobby attitude on 8.10.24. She seemed so miserable there. After she took our order for drinks, me and my fiancée looked at each other like here we go again.. She eventually took our orders for food but she took forever to bring anything out. This is where it really GOT WORSE. I have always hated when waiters do not remember the simple basic training of children in high chairs while bringing out plain HOT FOOD! When she brought out our food, the kids french toast fell right on top of my baby. All the powdered sugar went right into her hair. Immediately was the attitude change for her mistake. Not to mention the first order my fiancée placed was a Nashville Sandwich which came out completely BURNT, like the color black BURNT BREAD. I made sure he took the opportunity to change his plate out for something else because the sandwich was horrendous. Tania in the end took care of our bill and didn't charge us for the kids french toast or my fiancée's meal. We usually do breakfast at Sloans or Keedy's, but this time we were waiting for the Costco to open. Closest thing was IHOP, so that's where we went. Haven't been to an IHOP for over 12 years, but as far as I can tell, this is a good one. Clean, great service, and the food was better than I remembered. Had an omelette with pancakes and my SO had a salad. Portions were good without being overwhelming. Everything was fresh and delicious. I found this location using Yelp, as a group of us were on our way back from Arizona and one person just couldn't do fast food (Whatever...). However, I am glad we found this location. It was nice, clean, cool, good customer service, and the food was very good. Its not a quick easy to see place from the freeway but easy with your phone. Give it a try. read more

Well ihop needs a complete overhaul. The food is so basic that many locally owned breakfast restaurants are blowing this place away. This place has not flare or spice to it. Just plain boring food with no spice or taste at all. Plus they charge a lot for what they serve. I got the eggs Benedict and is was boring and bland. The English muffin was not even toasted and by the time you add a poached egg and hollandais sauce on it it was soggy. Why can't the chef just toast the freaking English muffin and then put the rest of the stuff on top? I call it just being plain lazy if you ask me. I came here with my family for breakfast. We were seated right away. The waitress took our drink orders and brought them right away. I got coffee and ask for flavored creamer and it was delicious. They were attentive and also make sure to ask if we wanted anything else with our entrees. I got The Classic as a breakfast bowl with light cheese. The cheese was still a lot but it was delicious. The salsa was so good and had a bit of a kick. They had forgotten one of our pancake sides but took it off our bill instead. Will be back to this ihop next time we are in town! read more

I don't frequent any IHOPs if anything I would pick Denny's.. BUT hear me out! This experience was *chefs kiss* from the person who greeted me. To the employees who clean tables. Everyone spoke, smiled and was polite. I came with a party of 5 and our food didn't take long to make it back to the table. Everything was piping hot, and tasty! For some reason, I ordered a turkey entree and it was delish! The turkey was moist and flavorful! Let me start with how very handsome and well dressed the manager is, I'm impressed, thank you Michael. I'm having breakfast for lunch while I work, and one very important thing I look for while working is an outlet and a corner where it's quiet. Handsome sat me in a perfect spot and assisted me with plugging in my cord, this normally dosent happen. Definitely a place on my list to eat at when working. We arrived just after 9:30am and the place was busy. People were seated right away. They had their usual menu of pancakes but also the fall special menu was also out. My son and hubby both had combo plates of pancakes, bacon, eggs & hash browns. Hubby had plain buttermilk pancakes and my son had the new vanilla cream one. There was a new item, potato pancake, on the menu. However, it was not gf so I didn't have it. I ended up having 2 eggs scrambled and hash browns. Not much else available. My friend & I meet here about onece a month for breakfastbefore starting our day of thrifting. For the most part we always have very good service and great food. Neither of us eat much so we split a breakfast. The waitresses are always very gracious about bringing a 2n't plate/bowls as necessary. Never making us feel 'cheap' as some places have. Sometime we chat a little more than we eat so it may take us awhile. We have never felt rushed or had to wait for water or coffee refills. read more

I couldn't wait any longer because I was hungry and it took longer than usual to get served even with only 1/4 of the restaurant full. 3 1/2 Stars. It's been a long time since I've had Bfast at Ihop. Came in BC it was convenient. It was early so parking was effortless to find. I was seated at a booth asap and the place was pretty empty. My waitress greeted me and returned with a whole pot of hot yummy coffee. I like the menu here BC it lists the calories of each entree which is great in my opinion. I ended up ordering the turkey bacon omelet which came with a small bowl of fruit. The yummy omelet was loaded with turkey bacon and the eggs were light and fluffy. My experience was a pleasant one, and I would return to another Ihop again. read more

Where do I even start? The restroom was absolutely a mess. Trash all over the floor and in the toilets. But because I had been to this location before I stayed to eat. Bad decision. It's been eons since I've been to IHOP. So I was there on a Saturday at 10:30 am ish. There was no wait, a positive. I ordered the Swedish crepes with Lingonberry butter. It's always been a favorite of mine. Our food came to us hot, and tasty. I've docked off 2 stars because of the price. My entre' was $11.99 and my ice tea was $2.99! $15 for 4 crepes and a drink is OUTRAGIOUS! SERIOUSLY 3 bucks for ice tea?? Was it made in special water? That's CRAZY. I didn't have eggs or bacon, just 4 crepes! Well good or not, I won't be back anytime soon. IHOP has become too rich for my blood. On the positive side, the employees were marvelously attentive! IHOP is one of my favorite chain restaurants and this location was a good example of it. Clean, quick, friendly service, and good prices. I had the strawberry crepes and they were so tasty I finished every last bite. The marshmallow hot chocolate was great. I received a coupon in my email for a free stack of pancakes. Since I was going to be in the area to see a movie at a nearby theater, I decided to use my coupon at this IHop. I walked into a semi-empty restaurant that was really nice and cool. It only took a few minutes for my waiter to seat me. I ordered the pancakes with a side of two trips of bacon (per my waiter's suggestion) and it only took 3 to 4 minutes to receive my order. I have never been a fan of pancakes. My palette enjoys savory foods. But I was not disappointed. My pancakes were steaming hot, fresh, and topped with a dollip of butter. My waiter brought me four little plastic containers with lids on them of maple syrup. I thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience. I wondered where the crowd was, but after all, it was after 3 PM so that could be the reason why the place was empty. My waiter was kind, thoughtful, and swift not mention charming. He took every precaution for COVID-19 regulations. So I want to give a shout-out to Zeus R. for your perfect professionalism! I have had breakfast here two weekends in a row. I arrive way before the crowds ... usually 7a. Emma is a great server. Food is very good. They could improve their coffee. It's drinkable but not near as good as circle k Or McDonalds. They do Omelettes on a grill ... not a favorite and the combos they come up with including crazy sauces is amusing but doesn't appeal to me. The hash browns are crispy. Terrible Service!!! I walked in to an almost empty restaurant and their was no hostess to attend or receive anyone. Once I was seated I was attended by a rude hostess and seated right next to the restroom even though every other table was open. Then I asked another hostess if I can change tables and she said ask your own hostess. We then proceeded to get ignored for 10 minutes and other clients noticed and asked their own waiter to attend us and she still walked by and said I can't help you. Our waiter was nowhere to be found in an EMPTY RESTAURANT. The ambiance was dead as well. Felt like the most depressing ihop I've been into a while.
