I used to love this joint, I really did! I loved their International Passport Breakfasts (swedish style) of course! Well after our 3 last trips there, I don't know what is up, but on the last two we had sausages that were still raw or frozen in the middle. Ewwww.....then on the last visit, our waitress was busy flirting with cooks, and practicing her Spanish skills. We we served by the manager, and another waitress not even working in the area. Once she was finished, all she did was brought us our checks and said thanks for coming in. Yeah....ok whatever. well I finally went back to IHOP to get some pancakes and the place has changed so much I almost didn't recognized it the wait staff were all attentive, the food only took minutes and was warm enough for me and they remodeled since the last time I was there. it was much more pleasant than the last time (see my last post) of course being diabetic I should not be munching on the regular syrup, but the blueberry syrup is very good and it was a mental fight with myself to control my use of said syurp. read more

I wasn't that impressed. My friend and I where seated right away, but when the waitress came over and asked for our order, she had to proceed it with a bunch of specials. Typically, the 5 minute lecture early in the morning when I walk in in my PJs...why even bother? I asked for a coffee, and she poured it all over the side of the cup. The pancakes I ordered where not cooked all the way though, and my friend was about as impressed with his food as I was with mine. You would think with only 4 tables of people that they would have plenty of time to make sure the food is good. read more

This place is the worst! Always understaffed! Total bedlam at the hostess stand (customers helping other customers put themselves on the wait list) Last time we were there we waited way too long to get a table, then we sat for 20 minutes without even being greeted. There is no grabbing a quick bite at this IHOP and there is no quick seating, even when there is not a line. Honestly, my family has walked out on two occasions due to lack of seating and lack of order taking. I might go back only because I have convinced myself that mentally impaired people must work there and they can't help being so slow? I wonder if the IHOP CEO has visited this location? Seriously, is there any difference betwee this place and Denny's. The food is greasy beyond belief, and it curdles in your belly upon digestion. At the serivce was good. Coffee was refilled often, which helped to get the food down. read more

When I got here, it was a ghost town. There was no one at the front to seat us for 5 minutes so we had to wander to the back to ask for service. Most tables were dirty, and the servers seemed agitated with us. We had to ask for silverware, and they ended up bringing us the wrong meals. read more

Dear Manager, It is a sad time at this IHOP on Aurora. We have been eating here for many years. Unfortunately I'm going to find a new place to enjoy some pancakes. What happened? The food is okay but the wait staff is impossible. I don't want a lecture when I'm spending my money to eat at a restaurant. That happened to us last week and today from two different servers. We had a good experience today even though there was a huge crowd for Father's Day. We had a birthday coupon which we found out that could not be used on a holiday. But our friendly and nice server spoke to the manager and they let us use it this time . Pancakes and omelettes were pretty good. Definitely will be going back! read more

I like IHOP's food, I do. But the wait time once you sit down is ridiculous. I was seated at my table with my family, and they said "I'll get you some waters" took them literally 10 minutes. And it wasn't a packed house at all. It took like 40 minutes waiting for my food. Won't be coming to this one again. But for the record, the one on Madison doesn't make u wait. read more

The quality of food isn't up to their prices. I've been to much better breakfast restaurants that serve so much better quality of food and coffee for less. I was surprised one day that this place was open. It seems never to be so, and certainly hasn't been updated in years. I think this place is a chain, I remember going to one in California on a trip, and if that is the case, this is not one of their better locations. I would probably skip it. Ok, I never go to IHOP but we had a old gift card I wanted to use up. The food was actually pretty good and came out suuuper fast. The restaurant is really clean and the biggest plus was the servers and hostess. They were ALL so sweet and great customer service. I worked in restraunts for years and I feel really bad that the staff has such a hubris manager. You can tell is a power tripping nightmare to work with. I saw him go to smoke and talk on his phone at least four times in the 45 minutes we were there. Then he comes inside and acts like he is just running the place. read more

I've been here a couple of times. What I have to question about IHOP is their prices. I mean what was it like $2 - $3 for a glass of orange juice? really? I could get a gallon for a dollar more. This one time me and my friend used coupons to get free short stack pancakes at this IHOP and we just got side items; he got eggs and milk while i got orange juice and sausage and the bill came to like $10+ even without the short stacks. I've never been disappointed with the food or service quality here. The server Michael is fantastic. He remembered my girlfriend and I after nearly a year and is incredibly friendly and personable. My daughters and I went to this location because it was closer to home. When we arrived there was no one in the front to greet or welcome us. I did notice that it was a busy morning because we got there close to 11:00 am. After 5 minutes, the manager took us to our table then in 5-10 min. the waitress took our order. It took about 30 minutes to get our food, which I feel was kinda long. I've been to the IHOP in Madison St and near the UW. Their service was much faster and the staff were more friendly. They acknowledge customers waiting to be seated by letting them know that they will be with them in a minute and thank them for waiting. We ordered the breakfast sampler, t-bone steak, steak omelette and 2 crepes. The food was alright except that they curdled the yolk on my daughter's order, which suppose to be sunny side up. I told the waitress about it and she asked me what it should look like. She seemed to be not knowledgeable to what sunny side egg is suppose to look like. Later on, I saw the manager cleaning a table and took my daughter's plate to show him what the egg yolks looked like. He took the plate and I asked to replace them with over easy eggs. He did tell the cook. I was satisfied that the manager listened and resolved the issue. I was satisfied with this but I will not have a repeat with this location. read more

Can anyone say possibly sueing? I literally created an account just to write this review which says a lot about how ridiculous the situation was. Today at like 11 something my boyfriend and i decided to go to this particular ihop because in the past it has provided us with excellent service and the food has been pretty decent. Today, however, boyfriend and i left more than just irritated, but potentially wanting to sue for how ridiculously silly we were treated. He ordered the steak tips with eggs where he found a staple in his food that he was about to accidentally consume. Mind you, it was a large staple that could have led to something very serious had he accidentally swallowed it. The waitress (who was wonderful) tried her best to handle the situation and offered to talk to her manager to see what she could do for us. The manager, instead of personally coming out to talk to us, sent the waitress back and gave us a 20 percent discount which equated to about $5.20. Now being a human being with common sense, i didnt take out my anger on the waitress and told her i appreciated her trying so hard to make us happy and gave her a nice tip, but told her that to please inform the manager that $5.20 & not coming out personally to handle the situation wouldnt have paid the medical bills should something have happened and that was poor customer service. I understand if my meal had not been given free but his should have been on the grounds that these were potential grounds for sueing. With that being said, the likelihood that i will continue to go to this ihop (or any ihop is slim) due to horrible customer service on behalf of the manager, & should we not seek the grounds to potentially sue, it will be due to that wonderful lady (who i suggest u give a wonderful raise to for doing what her manager didnt have the courtesy to do). Regardless of whether we were mad or not (we were calm about things). Personal apologies and a larger discount should have been offered to my boyfriend in order to have properly handled the situation. read more

Let me start by saying the food was okay but the service was absolutely horrible. My friends and I were seated and given menus for only three minutes before our waitress asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the strawberry and banana french toast, for the the most part it tasted okay, but the whole dish was drenched in strawberry sauce, making it way too sweet. Five minutes into our meal, our waitress already placed our bill on our table, which felt like she was rushing us to finish. Then she told us she was leaving for a bit and that a different waitress would be helping us with anything we need. That didn't happen, we tried to get her attention multiple times and she completely ignored us, which is unbelievable since we were the only customers in the restaurant. And worst of all, on the receipt it totaled my bill to be $11 and later when i get home I checked my bank account and I realized they charged me $19. read more
