I had the big steak omelette with hash browns. The food was amazing and the service was on point. Nice quiet atmosphere and everything was very clean.

I went here recently with my son and we just loved our food and the service was amazing! I've enjoyed IHOP since I was a kid, but some of them aren't as good as others. This one, on Aurora near Oak Tree Cinema, is fantastic. The service really was thorough and helpful and we enjoyed talking with the waitress about her growing up in Japan and having worked at that restaurant for many years. I definitely recommend this place!

You know it's a chain, so it ain't taste bad. The server is pretty friendly. Just one thing, we came in an early morning, and there are many weird people in this area. So be aware.

It's been so long since I've eaten at IHOP but National Pancake Day brought me back in. This location is off of Aurora just slightly west of the Northgate shopping area and light rail station. There are multiple parking lots on the sides of the restaurant which make it easy to find parking. The interior is updated and there was a lot of seating. We ordered the 3-stack of buttermilk pancakes ($9.59) and the classic burrito bowl ($12.99). The pancakes were so fluffy and soft and although I'm more of a savory breakfast guy, I downed these pancakes very quickly. The burrito bowl had a lot of hash browns and cheese but I could immediately tell the salsa on the side was from a jar. I liked it more without it and the bowl was as the sum of its parts would indicate. We got hash browns as our side and they were crispy on the top. The service was pretty good and our food came out relatively quickly. Some things here are pretty pricey ($18 for an omelette) but if you come here on National Pancake Day you'll get a delicious and free stack of pancakes.

Service is always good but prices have gone insane. Literally everything is pretty much $20 now, definitely after tax and tip. IHOP used to be an easy button but it's way too pricey for what you get now.

We went up north for the pimps & the pancakes. We had the place pretty much to ourselves, parking was easy/free & we were blessed with a wonderful booth with a window view. I did have to order my chocolate shake 3 times before it came BUT they brought me an extra shaker with the glass that pretty much equated to 3 full milkshakes, so, bomb af. The diverse selection of waffles, cakes, and sexy crepe folds - you can get the perfect sugar fix with any breakfast selection! The waitress really held her own and carried back a LARGE LOAD of plates from our table in one trip. While they don't have Coke, the unlimited Pepsi, cakes dripping with fruit juices, and spicy omelette are an empty stomach's dream! Would highly recommend a visit at any time of day - breakfast doesn't discriminate! Wear you holiday pants!

How I heard of this place: Nearly two decades ago, some friends wanted to meet at our local IHOP for a pre-dawn breakfast. Since then, I have visited a handful of IHOPs around the country for pre-dawn breakfasts, and free pancakes on their annual pay-what-you-like charity day in March. Type of cuisine: Diner food. Fluffy pancakes, large omelettes, sides like crispy bacon and more. Ambiance: A typical chain/franchise diner experience, with sticky pleather booth seating, muted colors with laminate flooring and pale walls. A large room with a separate space for smaller parties or more intimate meals. Large windows look out onto Aurora Avenue from the main dining room. What I ordered: For our little one, a Funny Face Pancake ($8.89): a large pancake topped with whipped topping & chocolate chip smile and maraschino cherry eyes, served with one scrambled egg, one custom-cured hickory-smoked bacon strip and one pork sausage link. For my husband, the Big Steak Omelette ($16.69): stuffed with steak, hash browns, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes & cheddar cheese, served with salsa. For me, the Spicy Poblano Omelette ($16.39): stuffed with fire roasted Poblano peppers, red bell peppers & onions, shredded beef, Jack & Cheddar cheese blend, fresh avocado, poblano cream and chopped serrano peppers. What I loved: The cream sauce atop a hearty omelette. Why I loved it: Friendly staff and servers, food that is prepared quickly and served hot. It's always a nice treat to have someone up your omelette game with their creative flavors and combinations. Cost: Average to High ($10-$18 per large breakfast plate)

The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not asking too much. I believe the owner said he was trying to revamp the place. I hope that the area comes alive in the future years, that should help. Here's the issue though, this is the slowest spot ever. I've waited 30 minutes for fries - FRIES. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should remain reasonable. There were only two or three people working, and one man did tell us this, but I need to be honest - this was on Super Bowl Sunday. No one was able to get anyone a beer from the tap for 40 minutes, the food took forever and it appeared that online orders were being prioritized (which makes sense, you make as you get orders coming in, but that puts your in person customers in an odd and sometimes frustrating position). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I just had some fries to snack on. I didn't mind as much this one time because I was just happy to find a place to watch the Super Bowl Half Time show, but other days, it's a little hard to look past. I wish this business the best, I live too close to not hope for its improvement! Looking forward to updating my review. At the end of the day, if you're hungry, it's late, this is your spot.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

I didn't expect much out of these, but they were surprisingly good. The rice is cooked perfectly, sticky and tender, yet each grain is distinctive and almost bouncy, giving great mouthfeel. The musubi seems to be dipped in a small amount of soy sauce, although not enough to cover the entire rice surface. The additional sodium isn't really needed in the first place due to the salty and meaty kick the spam on top gives the handheld snack. It's a classic combination for a good reason! (4/5) For the Food Walk special, they only give a small scoop of mac salad. I'm sure the normal side portion for $5.94 is much larger. The salad is unspectacular but solid. It's a little sweet, a bit peppery, and certainly very creamy. There's a bit of julienned carrot included that isn't particularly crunchy, being soaked in the mayo sauce. The macaroni itself isn't mushy or overcooked, so it still has some texture. (4/5) I don't usually expect much out of food court restaurants, but Aloha Plates definitely surprised me with their quality. It seems like a solid option for Hawaiian.

Perhaps the Lao Burger served there wasn't as juicy and succulent, with perfectly crisp smashed patties as I recalled? Or perhaps Taurus Ox just serves a completely inferior version. I revisited for a Friday late dinner to reach the bottom of things. This was at around 8PM and the place was surprisingly busy, with a fully running kitchen and almost all seats taken. It's a pretty small restaurant to begin with, but since the food comes fast, people don't typically stay too long. By the time our food arrived, a table had cleared up for us. Lao Burger ($18) - This Lao Burger is just as good as my first visit. Absolutely perfectly fried smash patties, completely with lacy, crispy edges that provide texture and an intense caramelized meaty flavor. I've already described the burger in detail in my previous review - what I can say on this visit is that the burger is basically identical, indicating that Ox Burger is consistent with cook and construction. The burger as a whole has the perfect moisture level with plenty of unique funky, umami-full flavors that make each bite a delight. As with my previous review, two things come to mind that detract just a tiny bit from my full enjoyment. Firstly, the burger as a whole is a bit salty for my tastes, necessitating several trips to refill my cup of water Secondly, the piece of sliced pork belly included is kind of vestigial. It seems to be only there to add additional salt, because neither the flavor nor texture are very apparent while eating. (5/5) Deluxe ($15) - This burger is somehow way messier than the Lao to eat. Upon lifting it up, a mess of watery mustard/mayo mix drips onto the plate. I think it might be from the extra moisture in the tomatoes and lettuce. And yet, somehow the bun isn't soggy at all. This burger is otherwise excellent, combing the same picture perfect smash patties as in the Lao, with the classic fixings - American cheese, bacon, pickles, and plenty of veggie mix. (5/5) I'm glad I gave the Lao Burger another chance. It's now one of my favorite burgers in the city. I'll definitely be coming back to Ox Burger for more. It is pretty small inside, but they've got a great little wooden patio with picnic tables and shade. We opted to sit out here, despite being pestered by wasps. The food was great for all adults involved. Portions of fries are generous and delicious, and come with fancy sauces (none of which appealed to me, but were appreciated by my family). The burgers are really inventive, so we all wanted to try the Lao. It's delicious. I did balk at $18 for just the burger, which is a smash patty (less beef) and I took the cheese, Mayo, and cilantro off. Eighteen dollars! No side, no drink.
