    Chimichurri steak tips.

Typically love going out to Stanford's as it's consistent and yummy. Felt a little scammed with the chimmichurri steak tips though. That's all we got!?? It was $24 for this. Very confused and unsatisfied with the portion for this amount. The spicy cowboy I got was yummy and looked reasonable for the price. Idk what happened to my partners Chimichurri steak bites but incredibly disappointed. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe that's how they portion it. Just be mindful :)

Visited Stanford's on a whim after some shopping nearby. Overall, a GREAT experience. I wish I could remember the bartender's name because she deserves a raise. (If management reads this, I visited on 06/24 at 2pm-find her!) I first ordered a "Huckleberry Raindrop," which sounded great...However, I found it overly sweet and couldn't drink it. I changed my drink order and next went with the tried-and-true Dirty Martini. WOW- easily one of the best dirty martinis I've had in the city. Perfectly chilled, just the right amount of brine, and they didn't skimp on the olives (I could have eaten like 3 more, but I decided to leave with a little dignity). Now, the Mediterranean Tavern Burger? I'm torn. Delicious either way, but the description led me to believe there would be an actual "patty." A more accurate description would be a gyro-style wrap on flatbread. Not your standard burger, but solid flavor and good execution. Upon payment I was pleased to see that I was not charged for the first drink which was not expected and greatly appreciated! Will 100% be back. Might even make it a regular thing just for that martini!

We used to have one on Tukwila and it closed years ago... we were near a north gate and stopped in. Amazing!! It was like we remembered. Comfort food made well. The service was top notch from the moment we entered. We were seated immediately, the server was kind and really helpful. The place as light, clean and comfortable. The food was great. We had Brussels sprouts and the 3 dipping sauces were so good. The crab artichoke sandwich was rich and tasty. The kruse burger was perfect, and the Mediterranean chicken light and fresh.

This is the baked potato that I was given. I complained about it being brown, and again the manager justified it. It tasted very old.

I recently got a to go order from Stanford's. I've eaten at the restaurant before and I've always had a good meal but getting it to go was one of the worst meals I've ever had. I called to complain about my brown, baked potato and rubbery green beans and asked to speak to the manage. The manager justified everything they gave us. He said the potato was cooked earlier. The green beans were cooked fresh. He did not want to listen that the food was horrible. I told the manager that I would never eat there again because he wouldn't listen to how bad the meal was. He justified everything, he told me that I can't stop coming to a restaurant just because one bad experience. I was so frustrated that I ended up hanging up on him. I will never go there again.

First timer here at this resto. Food-wise, very good and their appetizer too :) So delish nomnom. Staff were very accommodating and detailed. The place is neat and clean. Lots of parking but I think you have to pay. I think you have to pay after 3 hours , if I'm not mistaken:) would love to go back in case happen to that area.

Ordered a simple soup and salad and it was beyond amazing. First time here. Excellent service, exceptional food. Cannot wait to come back for dinner!

We came in a a party of four on Friday at noon for some lunch. I enjoyed their coffee and ambiance-they have a gorgeous bar, and they play sports on TV. I like that they are flexible with their seating options-they have a dining room, and they have a bar. We opted for the bar because it was easier for the person in our party with a walker for this particular occasion (but they would have also been fine in the dining room). We split amongst ourselves the onion rings-these were crispy and good! I couldn't decide between the Smoked Salmon Chowder and their Caesar Salad, so I ordered both! Their smoked salmon chowder has a nice smokiness to it without overpowering the salmon. Their salad was refreshing and went well with the chowder. Overall, this is a great place to dine in. They have a large menu, and it was easy for everyone in our party to find something that they enjoyed.

This review is specific to the new happy hour menu. First the good: service was great, friendly and fast. The drinks were very good and a great price during HH. All the food tasted pretty great too. My issue with this happy hour was quantity/price and transparency. The listed menu prices looked great, but after getting the dishes I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the amount of food received. 2 chicken tenders for $10. 3 bites of ahi for $10. 6 stuffed mushrooms for $8 (we already ate 2 before the pic). And honestly, if the menu just stated the quantity of food for each dish, I probably would've felt fine with it. But it was the disappointment of expecting to get a good deal when it really wasn't. I understand eating out here is very pricey, I guess my expectations were too high. But more transparency in the HH menu would've been appreciated.

I was there to redeem my free birthday meal. It was Halloween night. The staff at the front desk were festive and engaging. I had already previewed the meals online ahead of time. But when I arrived and was seated I was presented with the "Specials" menu, which was the new "Fall Specials." I delighted by the offerings and chose the burger. I have to say, putting an angus burger on a pretzel bun was a great idea. I've never seen anyone put a burger on a pretzel bun before. Very tasty, and the bun holds up well!! It didn't come back as medium, so next time I'll need to order medium rare, but it was still VERY TASTY... so it definitely wasn't overcooked. And since I'm allergic to bleu cheese, they allowed me to exchange it to goat cheese! All of the other items on it were exceptionally tasty and complimented each other. The waiter was attentive, yet a bit quick. One of the other staff that was originally at the front desk and appeared to deliver meals and bus tables was willing to stop by occasionally, which was sweet! I also received a free crème brûlée as birthday dessert to take home. I'm looking forward to coming back tomorrow to get the Fall Special of the Pear Bread Pudding. I was too stuffed to get it tonight. Well done!!!

I hate when I take things for granted, but I have to admit I take Stanford's for granted. It's like always expecting that a friend is going to be there. There's a feeling of security and comfort in just knowing whenever you feel like it, you can go see them. That's Stanford's. When I want a good meal and a decent cocktail, I go to Stanford's. It's tried and true, reliable, and there whenever I feel like it. Stanford's has been one of those places in the Northgate area that have managed to stand the test of time and so many changes in the landscape. I love that I can go in there for the good old Americana fare and no matter what I get, I'm going to be satisfied with it. If I go in for some bar bites and cocktails during happy hour or take a full meal of the delicious pork chop, I'm happy with it. They have outdoor seating, bar area seating, or a full dining room, so an elevated dinner or casual meet up is your choice.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Pro tip: The best part is during happy hour from 3-6pm (and also maybe during lunch hours?) they're only $2 each which is a steal! Other than the oysters we also had the smoked black cod which is out of this world and a MUST GET in my book. WOW! Our server, Antonio (Tonio), was professional, attentive, kind, patient, and fun. He was incredibly accommodating, especially to the member of our party who had a gluten and red bell pepper allergy. He was a major part of making sure our experience was a very memorable one. Do I remember the names of those mysterious green sauces? Absolutely not. Everything was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was welcoming despite our very casual appearance. I'll definitely be back on my next trip so I can experience even more of the menu. And one last thing: as we were leaving, they handed us these tiny candies that packed a surprisingly huge punch of flavor. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the name of them--or any of the sauces, for that matter. If the staff happens to read this, just know that when I come back, I'm heading straight for that candy bowl. No shame whatsoever!

We had an 8:45 p.m. reservation and were seated pretty close to on time, although we didn't get one of the coveted window tables. The views are still beautiful throughout the restaurant. We came here to redeem Landry's points, and that process was a little frustrating. We ended up about $12 short of using the full reward, and our server didn't really help us find a way to use the remaining balance, which was disappointing. The service was the biggest downside. The restaurant seems very understaffed. Our waiter was friendly, but he was clearly overwhelmed and we waited a long time to place our order, to get our food, and to pay our check. The freshly brewed iced tea was delicious, but the glasses are tiny, so I was constantly needing another one (and our server wasn't great about giving refills). The food, however, was excellent. The menu has a great Pacific Northwest focus with fresh seafood, steaks, and options for vegetarians and vegans. We shared the hot crab dip appetizer ($20) and loved it, but wish it came with more crostini for dipping! I had the wood grilled King salmon with crab cake special with vegetable couscous ($55), and it was really good and fresh! The crab cake was a total afterthough. It was burned, oily, and borderline inedible. My husband ordered the Dungeness crab legs and poke (both listed as appetizers), and they made a perfect light meal. He said both were outstanding and incredibly fresh. I also love that Cutter's has an open kitchen. You can see everything being made to order, and there were clearly plenty of people working in the kitchen (it just seemed like they needed more servers on the floor). The only other downside is the atmosphere. The restaurant feels dated, with older booths and a dining room that feels more focused on fitting in tourists than creating an upscale experience. For the prices, I expected a little more polish. There's no dress code, at least not one that's enforced, so jeans and a T-shirt are totally fine. They also have a great cocktail menu if you want to grab a drink. Overall, Cutter's isn't a tourist trap like many places around Pike Place. The food quality is genuinely higher than average, and I'd come back for the seafood alone. Hopefully they can improve the staffing and refresh the dining room because this place has a lot of potential.

The drinks were great, not overly strong, but by no means weak. I had two martinis and my husband had a whiskey and coke. Our server was so kind and checked in regularly. He seemed really knowledgeable about the food and there was no lag time. My baked potato was amazing with all the fixings- cheese, sour cream, green onions. I appreciated he mashed it up a little before serving (little things I notice). Steak was easy to cut and went down smooth. Would definitely come again!

I ended up getting medium rare which was perfect, but he basically snapped at me for asking. Yikes. Sorry I need a little insight from my waiter, who is supposed to wait on me! This colored the perception of my meal greatly unfortunately. I love how they included flaky salt with their house bread. The house bread was very pretty as it had a pattern from the banneton. Lighter in texture though, without much of a crispy crust. The Classic Caesar Salad was great. Not many places include whole anchovy fillets. The lettuce was crisp, and the croutons crunchy! It was light dressed and included a grilled lemon half if you wanted more flavor. Very refreshing. The ribeye was very tender and flavorful. There was the perfect sear on it, and while I didn't know how long it was aged, it clearly met the goal of increasing the complexity of the meaty flavor. It was super beefy, and the fat was so tender. No gristle here! The asparagus spears were the largest I've ever seen, yet they were still tender. I'm not sure I would return or recommend this place due to the service. A shame.

I didn't try the food as I was running between events, but everyone I was with seemed very pleased. The location is also ideal for any waterfront activities, and it's surprisingly spacious inside. Maybe because of the vibe, maybe because of the mood lighting which is a sultry red, maybe because of the fresh signature roses, maybe because of the outstanding bartenders... Maybe because there's a patio outside under the stars and the lights, but the outstanding cocktails are always past of the experience. But you never get less than outstanding service when you walk into the ZigZag Café. Starts from the top with the owner and filters all the way through the bartenders, servers, and the hostesses. I tried the passionfruit colada and shifted to a whiskey sour with egg whites. Outstanding was the Burrata with yummy fried garlicky lentils, sweet heirloom tomatoes garnished with a generous springy of micro greens and drizzled with a glorious balsamic reduction...and chewy, thick slices of grilled sourdough. Perfection. Bartenders Eli and Ricky were top-notch de rigueur-- this place only has the best bartenders (including the legendary Murray ruled the bar for an era ) -- and Hannah was the hostess with the mostest. Every time I left my seat at the bar I would come back to the folded napkin. Simply amazeballs when the place is so packed. Because it was a Sunday night there was an amazing jazz trio. They started at eight and went through 1030. Not too loud so we couldn't speak but sultry and rich and soulful with joy. No cover charge -- just all part of the extraordinary hospitality that exemplifies the iconic ZigZag.
