Andres was our server today. I had lunch with my parents. Andres greeted us as we entered right away. He gave us the closest booth since my parents use walkers. Our meals were cooked as specified which was to have my fish extra crispy and my onion rings. He came by for refills regularly. The restaurant is super clean including the men's restroom. A lady by the name of kat was flirting too much at dine in today when just trying to enjoy a meal. Felt very uncomfortable which gave the idea of never wanting to go back with the constant flirting. I hope kat learns to do her job and gets the proper training she needs for future customers. Had the worst service and very deceptive sale tactics at the new simi valley Ihop. The hostess was nice which was the only good thing of the experiance . When we were seated they gave us the menu and said that if you get an omelette meal they have a special where you get all you can eat pancakes. So when you order the omelette with hashbrowns and your waiting on these pancakes that never come your told you have to order them as part of the meal side. So they lied there is no promo. The coffee was awful and cold and we let the waiter know and he did not remove it from the bill . The waiter kept calling me lady which is so rude. So the waiter never gave refills , didn't adjust the coffees off the bill and I waited for 20 minutes and no bill. So I had to walk up to reception area to get any help. Just an awaful place. Food was cold , bacon limp and my adult 2x2x2 meal looked like a child meal and cold. So as I am paying they wouldn't remove the coffee but was told we can give you 20% off because of the service issues it's close to what the coffees cost. Such a horrible place. read more

This is a new location in Simi Valley. It's got the standard IHOP menu with several different types of pancakes as well as omelets and other breakfast fare. They have a lunch menu as well including sandwiches. The servers were friendly and attentive. This location was formerly Coco's and it's been completely renovated and looks brand new. read more

I can honestly say this is the worst meal I have ever received in a restaurant. I ordered a BLT. The bread was burnt and they used the heels of the bread for the sandwich. The bread tasted old or was really cheap bread which just fell apart but probably because it was burnt. I only ate the bacon off the sandwich since I couldn't anything else because it was so awful. Also, I didn't receive my onion rings until we were finished and then I had to remind the waitress. My grandson's toast was also burnt. This is certainly not like the IHOP we had years ago. Needless to say, we won't be back. Paid $50 for food we couldn't even eat. read more

My wife and I decided to give the new Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley iHOP's dinner menu a try on Valentine's evening. She ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. I, the pot roast, mashed potatoes, and mac 'n' cheese. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. When the food arrived, the potatoes, mac 'n' cheese and the pot roast were cold. I sent the plate back to the kitchen. 9 minutes later my plate arrived. The manager gave me a jeering look as he asked, "is THAT good now?", as if there wasn't anything wrong with the meal in the first place. I received the plate from the waitress and burned my fingertips on the bottom of the plate. The mashed potatoes were so hot they burned my tongue when I took a bite. The mac 'n' cheese was steaming to the point I decided to wait before eating them. I looked over at the manager who was now speaking in Spanish to one of the waitresses. They both giggled as they looked over at me. At the check out, this same waitress sheepishly giggled again as my wife and I paid for the poor meals and service. My wife also said she will never order the chicken fried steak again. That it sucked. Her mother was a gourmet chef. I don't appreciate the lousy service, and I especially do not appreciate being made fun of by the staff at the iHOP in Simi Valley. I will never enter this establishment again and I will repeat this story to ALL my friends who do enjoy restaurant services. Your manager needs to be fired. His demeanor towards me is appalling and unacceptable behavior. I'll be sending a letter to the corporate offices. Hubby and I stopped in at around 4:45 a.m. on New Years Day. There were four other customers there--one guy at the counter who was ordering and three guys at a table who had finished their meal. There were four waitresses and two cooks. We asked the first waitress we saw if we could seat ourselves. No, she answered, we would have to wait to be seated. We stood there and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, she said she would seat us, even though this was apparently someone else's responsibility. She brought menus for us as she seated us, and then left. We scanned the menus deciding what looked good, closed the menus, pushed them to the edge of the table, and waited for our waitress to take our order. And waited, and waited. The waitress we presumed was ours was chatting at the pass with the other waitresses and stuffing something into her mouth. Finally, we gave up and walked out. We saw the waitress we presumed was ours cleaning off our table after we left. Not once while we were in the restaurant did she ever make eye contact with us. I hope the manager reviews video of that day/time so he or she can see how four waitresses were unable or unwilling to handle six customers. read more

On vacation and with children at home we decided to escape to Ihop, the restaurant looks very clean and modern, the staff is very efficient and they are very friendly. Lety was our waitress, impressed with her experience on customer service, there was no need to ask for refills in drinks, she suggested we order omelettes so we could eat unlimited pancakes which motivated my husband to order a poblano omelette, she also recommended crepes and it was the best suggestion, now I won't be able to stop eating crepes. I hope on my next visit our favorite waitress (Lety) will be there to make our experience more pleasant. read more

Sorry...I know they just opened, but man they need to either hire more people or stop seating customers. Spent over an hour there trying to have dinner. Waitress came by only one time and that was to take our order, and she never came back. No refills, no nothing. The food finally came out after an hour and was cold. Mozzarella sticks were still pretty much frozen, my husband's breakfast dinner was ice cold and he never received his toast. Problem is, nobody even looks in your general direction, so you can't get anyone's attention to tell them. The waitress FINALLY came to bring us the check and never asked if we wanted to order anything else. We brought the check to the front to pay because our waitress decided that she was too busy to bother with our table, but the girl up front would not ring us up. After explaining that we had been there for almost an hour and a half and that the waitress was too busy to take our check, she just looked at us like she didn't understand. So my husband had to find someone else ring us up. A very unenjoyable experience overall. Won't be back. I'll go to Dennys instead. Oh, and the restaurant smelled like a dirty toilet when we walked in. read more

the food and coffee were good except for a small eyelash i found, no big deal. while i was not happy with the service at first, a woman by the name of Samantha made things right when noticing i was being ignored for an abnormal amount of time and quickly jumped in, seating me at the counter and making sure all my needs were attended to; saving the day. the ambiance of this establishment was nice and clean, overall adding to the fact that I will never return to Denny's even tho they were the only 24 hour restaurant in Simi valley. we now not only have a 24 hour restaurant of quality but they have a reasonable menu if you go in between 3pm and 9pm the one thing i felt was out of line was the $4.50 price of coffee which went down to $1.50 after 3 and before 9pm On the whole I would recommend trying out IHOP. Especially if you're fortunate enough to get Samantha as you server. BOTTOM LINE; I SUPPOSE IT DEPENDS ON YOUR SERVER! Sal Somma read more
