Great place to get unique coffee blends- love the vanilla chi tea latte! Staff is always so friendly-they have given me a few samples to try and change up drinks to accommodate my ten year old (no caffeine of course). This place is right next to the Children's museum so it was the logical place to go after volunteering there. Decent cappuccino that is generous with the foam and not too much milk (dry Cap if you like). Not overly milky and weak like some places, Starbucks included. Food was average. Had the English muffin with egg and cheese. The guy at the counter was nice enough to take customized breakfast orders so customize away if you so desire. Service was friendly as they seemed eager to please. One of my breakfast companion wasn't too happy as they took a while with her order. Parking can be pain as most of the streets require residential permits. There's 2 hour street parking out front but always difficult to find. Other than that, all is good here. read more

Went there Sunday morning around 845am, only a few other patrons were there. I figured ordering and enjoying my order would be easy. Taking the order was easy, the food wasn't so much. I ordered a burrito and toast and it took over 30 mins to receive my order. Others that came in after me got their order about the same time I did. Not sure if they needed more folks in the back of the house or something wasn't working, but the wait time wasn't the best. Once I had my food, it was good and delicious. Very nice place in a strange little spot. I came here for a business meeting with somebody I hadn't met and they offered to buy me lunch. I ordered a turkey sandwich and expect the usual. It was actually quite nice. It was a pannini and the bread was crusty and everything on it tasted good. Favorite Cafe! This is a little cafe located away from other businesses. It's near a small neighborhood next to the freeway. There is always plenty of spacious street parking. I like this place for its drink menu. They're really good at recommendations and are flexible with your order. You can ask them to mix different juices to create your own concoction. For example I always ask them to mix my grapefruit and orange juice or carrot and orange juice. You can make special requests on your lattes and other drinks and if you don't like it, they're really nice about adjusting/fixing it. I recommend the Matcha Latte and the Dark Chocolate Coconut latte (it has coconut bits!). I also like getting the affogato (ice cream with a shot of expresso) and the waffles. The Sweetness from the waffle balances the bitterness of the espresso. For a more savory taste, the Lox bagel was pretty bomb too. Get the mint lemon aid if your like yours a lot more sweet than sour. I love everything sweet, but this was a little too sweet for my liking. It wasn't a big problem though, just added a little more water to dilute the sweetness, and you get more that way too! read more

Ok the place is really cool and different I loved the variety of the drinks really unique But I ordered the Mediterranean combo platter the food is good and the salad is well dressed but they need to put more chicken and beef in it especially it costs me $12 for almost bread and hummus! Plus they mention it has tahini sauce and I didn't have any! We just flew into San Jose and while at the airport back in our hometown, we Yelped some breakfast areas close to the airport. iJava was closeish to the airport but felt like home. We got the avocado toast and a Power Protein bowl. I don't eat eggs and they were super accommodating to make sure our bowl didn't come with eggs. The toast was amazing and crisp. I really wanted a bagel and cream cheese so I ordered an onion bagel with plain cream cheese( they only carry plain flavor) and the veggie bagel. Since I took it home to eat, the toasted onion bagel was hard as a rock so it wasn't eaten. The veggie bagel was okay. I also got the capresa salad which was also average. The ordering took a long time and I assume the person at the register was new so he took my order multiple times and did not get it right the first time. I also ordered one of the chais and after I already ordered and waited for it I was told they didn't have it. I was asked to order something else and after 2 others I asked for were also not available I settled for an iced toffee drink. The server made it blended when I asked for it iced which upset me. Mainly because my order took so long to get ready. The person making my order helped other people after me who ordered smaller items and gave it to them before working on my order which really upset me as well but I stayed calm. When you place an order you should make it in the first come first served method. I waited far too long and had everyone who ordered around my time already finishing their lunch while I sat there waiting for my order. IJava may have become my new go to study place. It is a medium sized shop with a sitting/ lounging area and all done tables for people to study at. There are a good amount of outlets,free WiFi, and background music that isn't too loud so it makes the perfect study spot. There also is a bathroom and fairly adequate street/ parking lot parking. The coffee and food are bomb with many different options. I recommend the hammerhead if anybody is looking for some really strong coffee to get you going. I order via UberEats and have had a great experience each time! I love that when I ask for something in the notes (generally extra spicy sauce - I think they use sambal) it actually comes! They definitely take care to make sure that you get everything you need. I've had the fully loaded burrito, the tiger spiced chai, bulletproof coffee, and vegetarian bowl. All were good, but I wish in the vegetarian bowl they would maybe use baby spinach because the spinach is a bit big and unwieldy and tough to get a great mixed bite. Also it could use a sauce which isn't an issue for me because of the aforementioned spicy stuff, but maybe like a little chipotle vinaigrette or something might bring it to the next level. Regardless love ordering from here because I can get healthy options to get my day started right! I'll be trying the avocado toast, probably the ricotta toast, some of the crepes next! Side note about the bulletproof coffee, it's the perfect thing for an early Monday morning, it had me LIT but if you're sensitive to caffeine maybe hold off. I've been here several times in the past and really enjoy the iJava food and drinks (especially the Xtreme Toffee Latte and the Salmon panini - soo good!). However, I've noticed over the last few years their service gets worse and worse. It's disappointing because their food/drinks are so good. The girl in the front is very rude and unwelcoming. I watched her toss a bag of food across the counter at a customer because he placed a phone order and she didn't like his "attitude" when placing his phone on the counter to show the confirmation (I didn't see his attitude until after she was super rude to him and he began saying things like "ya'll rude as f%&$"). After the guy left, she was telling a table of customers about it from across the room. She then proceeded to look at her cell phone for a solid 10-15 minutes while several of us were waiting for our drink orders and she was the only barista. The gentlemen in front of me received their food before the drinks, even after 20+ minutes of waiting. Once she realized she had to start making drinks, she put down her cell phone and began the mad dash to complete the orders. I wish I could retract my tip. Her demeanor and visible annoyance toward customers was inappropriate. I won't be coming back here. I gave 3 stars because I typically have enjoyed this cafe in the past and I know the food/drinks are good, just be prepared to wait a long time for a single drink. read more

I liked the smoked salmon, only if it was a bigger version. Their staff was very accommodating. The espresso I also ordered, had the option to be blended, but it wasn't blended when I received it.
