One of my favorite breakfast places mainly because they have a delicious Pistachio Latte. Its that main item that brings me back. Not only do they have my favorite coffee all year round, but their food is also delicious. I believe its halal. Many breakfast choices and I always been satisfied with my decisions. Service is always good but i prefer the location off Delmas since its smaller and gives off a more relaxing vibe. The one off almaden is kind of loud and more busy. read more

We went to iJava on a Friday at 11am. There was a lot of parking outside. The inside looked like a dinner with lots of tables. Approximately half of the tables were occupied. We decided to go to iJava because there seemed to be a lot of healthy options. The service was average, not too quick and not too slow. Our group of 3 ordered: Avocado Toast - the avocado toast was pretty small for the price. I would think there would be two slices. California Omelette - the omelette came with hashbrowns and we upgraded to a pancake. The pancake was very large! Skillet scramble - the skillet scramble was tasty and came with fruit and toast. I also ordered a black coffee which was below average for dinner coffee. The water cups were tiny which required many refills. That seems like a lot of trips for the employees. Overall, it was a very average dinner and I would most likely not go back. read more

Don't know what has happened with iJava pricing and portion size. I had not been here in 6 months. A waffle with no berries just a caramel sauce and small amount of whipped cream was $17! I used to get one of their amazing bowls for less than that. An iced coconut latte is literally half the size for the same price as before. Three of us went for breakfast and it was a total of $90 before tip! One of the 3 dishes was the underwhelming $17 Dulce de Leche waffle. It had so very little dulce de Leche syrup we asked for more and were surprised to see an extra $1.50 charge for the extra they syrup gave us. So it ended up being a $18.50 waffle. The Brisket Benedict on their website states that it is $21.45, but at the location it us $25. Additionally, the service that had always been very good was also lacking. Seemed like they did not have enough staff. Sadly, we don't plan to return. Probably, the raw product has gotten more expensive or new management decisions. Just speculating. We're all hurting. The location used to be Original Pancake House. Now iJava. Seems like they updated the tables and chairs a bit, but layout is basically the same. We were seated relatively quickly. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The eggs benedict ($20) sauce was not what we expected. Eggs were poached fine. Yolk could be a bit runnier. There was no meat. Just a slice of tomato and egg on each. I was expecting the standard bacon with it. We didn't bother asking about it. The country potatoes had a bunch of bacon bits on it. Crepe with Nutella, banana and strawberry was good but the items were just sprinkled on top not stuffed or folded into the crepe. Strawberry waffle was exactly that. Slices of strawberry on a Belgian waffle. Xtreme toffee latte with oatmilk and strawberry lemonade were good. With so many options for breakfast, it may be a while before we end up back here. The Service was AMAZING. Very responsive and patient! They were very friendly to the child in our party and brought him free fruit and toys!! They also offered to sing happy birthday as a staff. Drinks we got were fresh orange juice and kale smoothie. They said the orange juice was fresh, all pulp was removed, so it is a pulp-less one! First time here. Wait time: 5 mins Server: Linda Linda was amazing! Great customer service. I'm not a coffee person but Linda highly recommended the pistachio coffee and it was perfect. I did less sugar with oat milk. I had the California breakfast sandwich it was good. My favorite had the french toast and it literally melted in my mouth. The baguette and jam is freshly made. It is spicy, they warn you, but very flavorful and delicious. It's a good portion size, I couldn't finish my food so I landed up taking it to go. I also got the carrot juice, it was pretty good but can get filling, that's probably why I couldn't finish my food. I wanted to get dessert, but maybe next time. iJava Cafe had been on my radar forever, and I can't believe it took me this long to try it! They were pretty busy on a Saturday (late) morning, but we got seated right away. Our table was on the (heated, dog-friendly) patio, and the interior had a casual vibe with minimal decor. For drinks, I got both a Vietnamese Iced Coffee and the Herbal Heaven. Both were awesome! The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was sweet and strong, and the Herbal Heaven was super refreshing. For food, I ordered the Chilaquiles Breakfast, which was amazing. As a non-pork eater, I love that iJava uses beef chorizo. The flavor of the dish was awesome, the spice level was ideal, and the over-easy eggs were perfectly runny. My friend really liked her Fully Loaded Breakfast Burrito, as well. The only negative was the service - while our server was friendly, she did forget about us for a when we were wanting to order our food. A safe option for good food and good service. I have had the French toast, eggs Benedict, fully loaded breakfast burrito, Mediterranean chicken panini, eggs and sausage breakfast, their fresh juices, and I'm sure there is more I just can't think of. Everything is really great with a lot of flavor, it comes out hot, and very light (not drenched with oil). You feel good leaving after eating at ijava. I've been to multiple locations as well as ordered in through DoorDash and am very satisfied. Highly recommend this place! The only thing I would love for them to work on is their matcha and coffee. It was as if they were ignoring us, but in reality, they may have been short on staff. I hate to be harsh, but we waited awkwardly at the front for a while and tried to get the staff's attention! I went there on a very slow weekday afternoon thinking a place like iJava would be like a cafe. It's more of a brunch/ lunch restaurant. They serviced me with my laptop out I was ready to work afterwards and I couldn't do any work cuz I find out after my meal they don't have WiFi upon many requests. My mom and I shared the Mexicali breakfast burrito and Swedish pancakes on the side. Both were delicious! The sauce the burrito came with was so good and the sweet potatoes were a nice touch. I couldn't believe the price point on the Swedish pancakes! It's a nice generous portion and they were perfect for something sweet on the side. Java Flow The newest location for this veteran (2011) local breakfast spot that replaces their second location that was demo'd to make room for more shit we don't need. #Nimby They're also replacing the now defunct Original Pancake House and bringing a stronger breakfast game into the neighborhood by still offering up all the usual unhealthy favorites, but also counteracting that with a strong veg-head friendly options, smoothies and (as the name suggests) a strong coffee lineup. The Good: *Good selection of Chai teas to choose from, and we both really enjoyed our respective choices. My one complaint was, while I was glad I could taste the turmeric in my Turmeric-Ginger Chai, I wish it had a little more sweetness to offset its bitterness a little. *Chicken and Waffles were good, but I wish they used bone-in chicken instead of chicken tenders. But that's a minor quibble, as the chicken was seasoned nicely, and the waffle was fantasticly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm also pretty sure they use real maple syrup, so that's another big positive. *The girl enjoyed her healthy Power Scramble bowl very much, which wasn't advertised as being spicy but came out so. Even I had to agree that it packed some heat, which is great, but they really should warn you. *Large Dog-friendly outdoor seating w/ heating *Interior décor was relaxing and a little spartan, but nothing terrible about it. The Meh: *Service started out good, but towards the end, they just sort of disappeared on us. We finally flagged someone down and asked if we're supposed to wait for the check or pay at the counter, and they said either or. -_- Having given up on the waiter, we just sashayed up to the counter and paid the old-fashioned way. The Ugly: *$1.50 upcharge on Oat Milk is a bit much, but I love my oats so much that I'll pay for it. I was very surprised to dine at iJAVA with my family. From afar, this retro building looked like a hole-in-the-wall brunch restaurant. I am not from the San Jose area. I don't know the history. But I heard from my family members how everything started. I am overly joyful to be here and enjoying my breakfast in style. I ordered smoked salmon on avocado toast ($13.95). I loved it. The toast was easy to chew and fried capers jazzed the smoked salmon up with flavors. My family ordered egg benedict ($18.95) with fried potatoes, french toast ($14.75) and hamburger ($13.45). I had no idea a hamburger could be a breakfast item. I also loved the house blend dark-roast coffee so much. I bought a bag of whole-bean coffee ($13.95) so I can make my own iJava drink at home. iJava Cafe is walking distance from work, so I recently had lunch with a couple of coworkers. iJava Cafe is only open for breakfast & lunch, so don't head over at dinnertime. The layout completely reminds me of an old Bob's Big Boy. It's a typical coffee shop, in that they serve coffee, a variety of breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, and a few other specialties. What you might not know from looking at it is iJava Cafe is fully Halal (no pork). I had a chicken panini w/fries, one coworker tried the Chilaquiles, and another had a small stack of pancakes (which looked really good and fluffy). Their juice was fresh squeezed. They may have been short-staffed the day we came in, as we had to keep flagging down our server to get everything we ordered, including beverages, condiments, and our check. Our team at work had a Christmas Brunch here this morning. The best thing ever was the service provided by our server! This place was able to accommodate our group (15). Make sure you RSVP if you have a big group. The food all look good and delicious! I had the brisket burrito ( I ordered without bbq sauce and cheese). Bbq sauce tend to be sweet which I am not fond of. Their orange salsa was very good (ask for extra) . I like what I ordered!
