What I tried this time: Burger (Cheese is $2 extra) 9/10 We weren't sure if the burgers would be good here as it's breakfast-centered. I decided to take a chance and wasn't disappointed. The patty was well seared and while simple, the burger tasted great and not over cooked at about medium. Fries come with it and are crispy (not hard)! Strawberry waffle 8.5/10 Great waffle, they're served fluffy and warm, which isn't always the case at breakfast establishments. Praise for that since iJava tends to be particularly busy on weekends. Strawberries and whipped cream on top, nothing else! Eggs Benedict 7/10 iJava does a lot of dishes right, but do fall short on their Benedict. Tried this place for the first time and happened to catch them on their 3 week of opening for dinner. Given that we arrived 40 mins before closing, we were concerned we would not get seated or the quality of the food may not be as fresh. Instead, we were immediately greeted by the host/ waiter, Yasin. His customer service was exceptional and you could tell he was passionate about his job. Things we ordered: Onion Rings: Great price for the portion they give you. The onion rings were extremely crispy. Great appetizer! Lamb Shank: The lamb was very tender, braised and fell of the bone. My wife normally doesn't eat lamb but she couldn't stop picking at my entree. The polenta was buttery and creamy and the assorted veggies were cooked well. Not a single semi-raw veggie. Mediterranean Platter: My wife really enjoyed this plate. You can see the chicken glistening and it tasted juicy! We also enjoyed the saffron rice and hummus! I came in on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't very busy at all, we were greeted and seated by a very welcoming and friendly gentleman instantly, who also served us water. Side note: I really liked their water. It's chilled and crisp, I'm not sure where they get it from but it tasted like fresh spring water. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Panini- SO GOOD. You have the option of getting it with fries, salad or their tomato bisque. I was trying to choose between salad and soup to pair it with and our waitress kindly recommended getting the tomato bisque option, I'm so glad I listened to her because it was delicious. They sprinkled some goat cheese on top too which really complimented the flavor. I loved everything about the meal. The bread was so good, the tomatoes were fresh, the pesto delicious, I always love mozzarella, and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. A little piece fell out of my sandwich so I got to taste it on its own and it was very good. My grandmother got their chicken and waffle; she said the waffle was really really good, soft inside but a lovely bit of crisp on the outside, and the strawberries were fresh and delicious. The chicken strips it came with were pretty large too, and they were good too. The amount of breading was good, and they were nice and crispy. I couldn't get a picture before she dug in, but it looked very appetizing. Overall we both really enjoyed our meals. The service was so friendly, parking was easy, and the environment was wonderful. We were in the area and wanted to have something hearty for brunch. Used my handy dandy Yelp app and found iJava Cafe close by. It was about 11 AM on a Saturday and it was a sweet spot between the late breakfast people and lunch folks. They have a decent amount of seating both inside and outside and we didn't have to wait very long. The staff looked to be very efficient and they communicated very well. Between the three of us we had the Avocado Toast, California Omelette, and the Brisket & Eggs. Everything was cooked very well (kudos on the crispy shredded hashed browns, yum!) and the drinks were also good. A lot of "breakfast" places ironically have incredibly bad drip coffee. But not at iJava Cafe! It was strong but not bitter nor burnt (I drink my coffee black). Good comments from the rest of my party who had a vanilla latte and a matcha lemonade. The portions are large so be prepared to get a takeout box unless you're a big eater. My brisket & eggs also came with a choice of toast or a single pancake. The pancake was thick and it fit perfectly into a single plate (probably 8") and it was cooked perfectly and had a slight chew. My coffee was refilled a couple of times and getting the bill was easy as they use handheld devices to order and pay. All food establishments should be making use of this! We will be back as there are too many good sounding items that I need to explore! read more

This is late but the experience was so memorable I still remember every detail. On Presidents' Day, my sis and I walked over here because it was close to our Airbnb. What a great decision that was! Came here for New Year's Eve brunch and presently surprised that while packed, there was no line of people waiting. There was spinach i did not ask for cooked into my hashbrowns. Friendly servers and hostess. I know they tried their best, however I had to wait 20 min to get my order taken. The menu isn't big, so i was ready within 5 minutes to place my order and let the hostess know. She said she'd send the waitress to take my order. The waitress never showed up and I had to track them down inside. Also never got my water when i asked for it. Food came out quick after placing the order. I was done with my food about 30 minutes in and started stacking my plates to signal I'm done eating. I looked around and no one paid any attention. Again, ten minutes in, i had to track them down inside for the check. They did not help correct the situation or apologize or even provide a discount. Only a "thanks for waiting" which means they knew i was being overlooked. It didn't look that busy inside so I think this is a training/planning issue. There needs to be a better plan of addressing all patrons in the facility. I'll be back because I like to support a small business but please work on fixing this issue! read more

But, with luck, now that I have taken the time to post this here, it will be more top-of-mind when we are looking for some really good breakfast food. And I found that the really good scans I did of their menu with my actual desktop scanner are obsolete, because they have new menus that are too big for my scanner, so used my phone camera and tweaked them. Not as good as I'd like, but better than many menu uploads. I ordered the Beef Brisket Burrito with salad. I thought it was delicious, especially with a little of the salsa on each bite. The side salad was also quite good, with a tasty Caesar style dressing. (Not a Caesar Salad; a salad with Caesar dressing) My wife had the Portobello Panini with Tomato Bisque. She loved the sandwich and I thought it was quite good. The soup was also quite good, with some basil and goat cheese on the top. And we split the Corn Bread. Very tasty cornbread, drizzled with a good honey and served with whipped butter super easy to spread. To drink, I had Mexican Mocha that used a lovely cinnamon, and my wife had iced tea. It also didn't taste that sweet or fresh. 2/5. - Thai Iced Tea: Tasted okay. Not the best, but not the worst. 3/5. SERVICE: We came on a Saturday morning with no wait for 2 people. Those with a larger group in front of us had about a 10-15 min wait. As for our waiter, he was great. It was pretty crowded, but he was attentive when he could be. Alrighty honest review time, so we came here after hearing about this halal (Zabihah)breakfast location. As soon as enter we were greeted and it was not that busy and we were seated promptly outside. The menu was quite extensive and had a variety Of options, we placed our orders and within about 15min or so the food came which was quite surprising. I would recommend that next time have the coffee come first and then the food after. We got the omelette , scrambled chorizo eggs, and the croissant sandwich with pour over coffee and Mexican mocha and pomogranite juice. The pour over coffee was really good we got medium brew and the cups were large. The pomogranite juice was quite crisp, it tastes like that POM brand of juice that you find at Safeway or Costco but chilled. The omelette was quite fluffy and very large (the inside was a little bit uncooked or not sure if supposed to be a bit soft and mushy). My friends croissant sandwich was good he said, his Mexican mocha had an aftertaste that was cinnamon like and a bit strong. The scrambled eggs were good and no complaints. I would recommend though to lower the music inside (or remove) so that people can have their conversations as well. Overall a good place to support since it has a halal breakfast options. This is my second time coming here. The chicken katsu burrito is very flavorful and unique. Everything inside of the burrito is well seasoned. The iced pistachio latte with oat milk was the right dose of caffeine. Not too sweet not too bitter, which I like. However, my friend and I waited over an hour for our food.
