They had the best Edamame I've ever had, the Philly Roll was amazing and the miso soup was great. Fast service too, food came out in like 10min max.

Came to Ikiiki on Wednesday night and the place was pretty packed! Most tables full, but only 2 people working so we did wait a while to be greeted/order taken (not a huge deal). I would definitely come back to try other menu items! We got two rolls and an entree to split. The sea turtle cucumber roll was fresh, and absolutely delicious. This one exceeded my expectations (they were low when I saw it was just wrapped in cucumber lol). The ocean city tempura roll was also tasty, pretty standard tempura style roll. The Singapore chow foon was amazing and the shrimp was perfect! This place would 100% be the perfect spot for take out, date night, or even a solo dinner!

My new favorite regular sushi spot Ikiiki Sushi has quickly become one of our new favorite places for sushi. The prices are reasonable, the food is great, the atmosphere is small and welcoming. It's right off Queen Anne Ave on the top of the hill in a quieter are. We LOVE the Sea Turtle roll - it's so unique with no rice, and cucumber on the outside. Great low carb option, and something different I've never seen anywhere else!! The Cherry Blossom roll is also amazing. The presentation is super pretty and actually looks like a flower! We also got the Samurai, Spider, and Crunchy Spicy Salmon roll which were all good. I love that they have a huge variety on the menu - lots of noodle options, soups, fried rice, vermicelli noodles, pho, pad Thai, udon, meat main dishes etc... So it's not just sushi, they have a huge menu!! Definitely need to go back and try the other stuff!

On our travels we hit up the nearest sushi spot to our Air BnB after getting off a late flight. I ordered some sake && waited for the miso soup that NEVER CAME - you guys can understand how deviating that is to me! BUT I got over that. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Prawns (crispy) - she asked how spicy, obvi I ordered the spiciest - but it was just a hint of spice due to the jalapeños that were fried with the white & green onions. And the shrimp were NOTHING special. I also ordered the Spicy tuna ten roll because I just trigger ordered when I should of just got sashimi... but oh well it was okay. I don't usually order fried sushi, must of missed that in the description. The husband ordered a spicy tuna roll which was a little better but NO flavor. He also ordered the House "Special" Fried Rice which there was nothing special about it. He had to pour soy sauce all over it to even make it taste like much.. overall wasn't the worst... but I've had better.

Casual little spot for a quick fix of Japanese. Typical selection of Sashimi & Rolls available along with Udon & Sukiyaki. Basic drinks of soda, tea, and Hot or Cold Sake. Server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Local family business. #shopsmall #shoplocal

Fantastic sushi and service. I dined in here. So thankful I did. It's very tasty and delightful. I'm so glad I got it. It's been consistent too. I've gone three times and each time it's been good. The fish is always very clean tasting.

Classic fried rice (with chicken) SO GOOOD ITS SCRUMPTIOUS

Food is spectacular, however when i tried to pay they gave me another persons order and credit card, if I wanted to i could have tooken someones credit card.

I love Ikiiki! They are friendly, quick, and don't rush you out the door. I love their tea, edamame, and sushi. Great for take out or sitting down. They have a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere as well.

The food is where it all went south. We ordered ginger beer and the ginger beer wasn't true ginger beer (it was a soft drink with ginger flavor and almost 50 grams of sugar + all sorts of gums). Calamari 1/5 - this was one of the worse, soggy Luke warm calamari that tasted reheated. It sort of tasted like it was in a Tupperware for a while or cooked in rancid oil. Unagi Roll 1/5 - this is actually the worse roll I've ever had. The rice was like warm, the whole roll was mushy and tasted like spoiled fish oil. I've never had to spit out a sushi roll before and this was a first for me. The roll was cut Into super uneven pieces, some were unusually large and some super thin. It was so bad that unfortunately we had to send it back. Nigiri 3/5 - We got a selection of nigiri and it was better than the roll but still you can tell the fish quality just wasn't there. The salmon belly, toro, and others are supposed to taste buttery, but instead they were super stringy. I think the fish was fresh, but the quality was meh. We will not be returning here unfortunately and it's wild to see the amount of positive reviews.

Since my birthday fell on a Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have Chef Shiro Kashiba himself behind the counter preparing and serving our meal. The entire experience was incredible. The service was organized, attentive, and made the evening feel truly special. Chef Shiro Kashiba is knowledgeable, entertaining, and incredibly passionate about his craft. With every course, from salmon and tuna to white fish, mackerel, shellfish, and eel, he explained how each piece should be eaten, where the fish was sourced, and even shared personal stories from his career. It felt like he was telling a story through every piece of sushi he prepared, making the experience both captivating and unforgettable. Chef Shiro Kashiba is truly inspiring. It was also wonderful to see that everyone seated at our counter had traveled from out of state just to experience his omakase, which speaks volumes about his reputation. This was, without a doubt, the best sushi omakase experience I've ever had. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and every bite was thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were unlike any sushi I've had before and gave me a whole new appreciation for how extraordinary sushi can be when it's crafted by a chef with such deep knowledge and experience. I would absolutely love to come back again. I left feeling completely satisfied and fulfilled, yet hungry for more of this amazing sushi experience. At first, we thought the rice looked too plain and would need extra soy sauce, but we were wrong. The rice was already seasoned with some kind of delicious sauce, so no extra soy sauce was needed at all. Bonus points for the recommendations and modifications they made to make a roll more kid friendly. I got the Katsu Curry Don and it was genuinely one of the nicest ones I've had in the Seattle area. They also serve it with a little kimchi with works as a perfect palate cleanser between rich bites. My wife for the Vegan Maze-Udon while my family for the Omakase and they all really liked their food too. We then split a couple of extremely cold soft-serves. The yuzu sauce was not bad but the matcha was absolutely outstanding and super flavorful. It paired really well with the ice cream and I'd highly recommend it. Overall the place is genuinely worth a visit. A tad pricey, but that's Cap Hill for you. At least the food is fantastic and the service on point. Will visit again.

I love this concept. I'm not much of a roll person bc it's always pricey and then you have to eat all 6-8 pieces, so this was right up my alley. We loved it so much, we came here 2x when we were in Seattle. And even our first time we had to get seconds. All the sushi from the beginning are rolls, and near the end they are nigiris. So save some space for the good stuff at the end. The first time during lunch hour, they kept restocking the sushi, and they even had bluefin tuna nigiri at the very end! Score!! I'm more of a nigiri person so I got half rolls and half nigiri. Of course this isn't like fancy restaurant sushi, but more of like casual dining sushi and bc there were so many people, it was fresh bc it was a high turnover. Sushi quality was decent. Reminded me of just like an AYCE sushi quality. You won't get sick, but don't expect Jiro Dream of Sushi quality here. lol. The other time we went was during dinner of 1 hour before they close, the selection wasn't as good as they didn't have bluefin tuna nigiri, but still worth it and didn't cost us an arm and leg to get sushi. I hope someone catches this concept in San Diego! It's so clever. Love it and would love to come back again.

The popular sashimi plate had sockeye salmon, scallops, king salmon, yellowtail, snapper, and shima aji. 3-4 slices per fish so total about 20ish pieces for $ 75 dollars. Also included salmon roe. Ask which fish is in the plate since it seems to change. Service was good. They serve distilled water which is appropriate for eating raw dish so you actually taste the fish and not the tap water. The star of the night was the miso black cod. Soft buttery and flavorful. Just enough miso to bring out the sweetness of the fish. Some may find it not flavorful enough. It depends on if you are looking for fish flavor or seasoning flavor in my opinion. The only down side is that it's a fatty cut of fish so by the third piece it can be a bit heavy. Ended up cutting the fat with a bit of lemon toward the end and using the shredded pink diakon. For the price of $ 17 dollars, it is quite a good deal as other spots in the area would charge more or give less.
