IL Bosco is easily one of my favorite PHX pizzerias. I'd even say, it's in my top 3. I've been to iL Boscos Scottsdale location. It's oasis - like. The new PHX location creates a different vibe, but one that's very inviting. The majority of tables are outdoors, perfect for a spring evening. Ordering the spicy sausage sweet papadeaux stuffed peppers is a no brainer. That might be favorite appetizer - ever. They creatively used the spicy sausage and sweet pepadeaux peppers to create the Rosa, a 5/5 star pizza. The Valentina and Morena are winners as well. I highly recommend iL Bosco. read more

Hands down my favorite place to get pizza in the valley! If you like a little bit a spice you got to try the Valentina - red sauce, spicy pepperoni, calabrian chili sauce, mozzarella and the best part, honey drizzle! I've been to the Scottsdale location a couple times, but not for years! My husband and I did a staycation and ordered takeout from this IL Bosco. I got the Maria pizza I think which had pesto, tomatoes, and garlic, and my husband had a cheese pizza. We also got the salsa di parmigiana, which tasted familiar but I don't think I had tried it here before? I was worried they'd only give us like 2 pieces of bread because I had that experience recently at some restaurants, so I ordered even more but I didn't even need it! Food was ready fast, especially for a Friday night. On the pricier side but totally worth it for good quality pizza like this. So glad I've been reintroduced to IL Bosco! read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT I received an order from them that had pizza chewed up and spit back in my food (looks like vomit / spit up) and there is something of a liquid consistency white, thick and disgusting in my veggies. I called them and explained the issue and the person who answered the phone said "okay, that's your side of the story". Pics are below. Did not ask for a refund or a remake because I would never trust this business again and don't want this review to be compensation based. Eat here at your own caution.... Make sure you look at your food and immediately report anything wrong to the restaurant. Update: they called me back and blamed the delivery driver. When i told them that i am not looking for a refund or free food but want to report food tampering and they need to seal their food for safety they said those safety measures are out of their control / not their responsibility. Can across this place on Instagram so we came by to try it out! We sat outside and it was the most perfect atmosphere and would come back just for the cozy home vibes at night. An app and pizza is good for two people but if you are starving, I'd say skip the apps and get your own pizza because there were so many options. First-time but not my last IL Bosco Pizza is locatedcin downtown phoenix and is a very cool and hip restaurant that is serving up great pizza and salads. There is street parking and seating in and ourdoors. If you haven't tried this place you should stop by you won't be disappointed. Usually Wood fired pizza isn't my first choice but the Pizza at IL Bosco, changed my mind, it's so delicious. There are so many options for toppings, on this visit we shared the Valentina (recomended by our server). It's covered in pepperoni, cheese with sweet heat from chilis and honey. It did not diappoint.p the pizza is the perfect combination of sauce, toppings and cheese, with the perfect tasting dough. I wish we would have ordered a larger pizza so we could have taken some home. I can't wait to go back and try alll the other delicious menu items. If you're in the area give this place a try. I'm not super impressed with the pizza here. I ordered takeout from this location, so I can't comment on any dine-in features, but the servers were very friendly when I picked up my order! This spot also seems quite cute to sit down and eat in, as there is indoor and outdoor seating alike. I got the Biaggia, which consists of fig jam, prosciutto, mozz, goat cheese, arugula, and parmesan. I was pretty disappointed with what I got to be honest! The bottom of the crust was a little burnt, and I got tired of eating the pizza mid-slice. The fig jam made the pizza a little too sweet, and although the jam + goat cheese + prosciutto was a good combination, they probably don't belong on a thinner crust pizza (it's too many flavors without enough of a base to bring it all together). I think I would be open to trying the other flavors here, as I'm aware that the Biaggia is not as conventional as their other items, but I'm not super inclined to come back. read more

The location is good and the ambiance was nice (what would be expected for the area). Our bartender/server Jacob was great! The only "complaint" would be the prices for the size and quality. $7.50 for a pint of domestic beer and $11 (small pour) glass of wine on top of the food prices made it a very expensive hour. LOVE THIS little Italian/pizza place on Roosevelt Row. We had the Caprese appetizer (where was the basil and nice big tomatoes?) but the Buffalo mozzarella and birrata cheese was satisfying. We also had the Lucia pizza (sausage and mushrooms) which was perfect. Dave Portnoy would be proud of the crisp undercarriage (dark, fully cooked bottom of a slice) and the box we took leftovers in was foil lined. The first few times it was really good and I do recommend it. The last time I went the entire bottom pizza crust was burnt so the pizza tasted burnt. I ordered to go and when I tried calling once I got home no one answered and there was no way to leave a voicemail. Mistakes happen but there was no way to tell them about what happened without having to go back in person. Spending $20 for a medium sized burnt pizza with no way for them to accommodate doesn't make me want to go back. read more

The Juana tasted like straight orange and sugar and all the toppings were in one single area. The Valentina was so oily and cold. This pizza was inedible and I don't turn down pizza. This is my favorite pizza place downtown. I don't have a favorite pizza here though because each one I've had has been delicious, so I try to get a different one every time. Do yourself a favor and make sure to try the Salsa Di Parmigiana. It's amazing and always a hit with everyone at the table! Recently I also had the caprese salad for the first time. I love that it came with burrata and a couple of pieces of bread. I enjoyed it even though it was sweeter than I was expecting. Would definitely get it again. IL Bosco Pizza definitely won me over. As we walked up, we were welcomed to a quaint, intimate, dope vibe. The outdoor seating was welcoming but because I'm a bit under the weather we chose to eat inside. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. I ordered the Bella with gluten free crust and hubby ordered the Katarina pizza. The Bella was essentially a mushroom pizza. I didn't realize and was initially bummed that there wasn't red sauce in the pizza but the olive oil base made me a fan. The pizza was crispy, the mushrooms were profound and the mozzarella complete the masterpiece behind this pizza. It was delicious. The Katarina had the perfect balance of crust to cheese. The crust was flaky. The pepperoni although it says spicy they aren't spicy at all but nicely flavored. We completed our meals with a Malbec and Prickly Pear Cider. We're fans! Been here twice. Both experiences have been exceptional in the quality of the cocktails (love the Negroni) & pizzas. I'd say it ranks right up there with Bianco. **WARNING HIDDEN GEM ** Walking around Roosevelt and decided to eat here without hearing or knowing about it. And I'm so glad we did! Was able to sit outside right away.
