They always get my order wrong. They told me to wait 30 mins (to go) but when i came had to wait another 20+ mis for the food. Paid $17+ for tiny portion. ( Looks like kids meal) . The food was good, but I wish they gave more portions for the price. There's nothing wrong with this restaurant and the food and service was good. It was just not super memorable for me. Coffee was good, but tasted like any other Vietnamese ice coffee. I've been to similar Vietnamese restaurants in the area prefer the flavor there more than this establishment. The other big negative point for me is that the restaurant is located in a shopping center where it's bumper to bumper traffic. If you ever go during Lunar New Year, good luck finding parking. Came during Lunar New Years and the food was excellent. I got the Banh Mi Bo Luc Lac which looked so good when served that I forgot to take a picture of it. Service was moderately slow, but that was to be expected for such a busy holiday. I'm sure it's perfectly fine on any other day. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! It's infested with bugs and insects. There were ants crawling on every wall. We found termites flying around, one landed inside our bowl. Then we found a dead fly in our veggie dish and a piece of rock/stone in our food. We notified the waitress; without apologizing or saying anything, she quickly took the food away in an attempt to avoid us taking pictures. They then evaded us throughout. When it was time to pay, they didn't even bother to offer to take the item off of our bill or apologize. Instead, they were standing behind the counter pointing and laughing at our table. Local coffee spot and they can get crazy busy that's why they have a second location right next door. Great spot for coffee and a chat with buddies and food to enjoy but my issue is with the staff. I ordered hot black coffee, and I'm aware Vietnamese don't make their coffees black. Rather, it's made with a bit of sugar in it so i told the waitress not to put any sugar. When I got the coffee, it had a taste of sugar and when I brought it up to the waitress, she aggressively argued back that the coffee came that way and she didn't put sugar in it. As I tasted it more, there was a definite hint of sweetness. From that point on, the service just went downhill and they didn't care to serve us anymore. Now I ask you, is this how you treat your customers?? All because of a simple cup of coffee. I don't recommend and will not be returning. read more

I got the macaroni soup and my mom got bo luc lac which comes with salad and crispy butter rice... i'm not a rice gal but man that was delicious rice! I got their beef stir fry with penne pasta. It's a light soy-fish sauce stir fry and the beef was tender, pasta was al dente. My mom stuck with canh bun which was flavorful. There'll be old people sitting around drinking coffee and enjoying their stories while they're enjoy good coffee. The food is a hit or miss. A lot of dishes are good and they do have some dishes that's not good at all. I do highly recommend nui xào bò, canh bún, hủ tiếu nam vang, mì xào and their desserts! This is now my favorite Vietnamese breakfast spot in OC! I had the steak breakfast with eggs, potatoes, rice, French baguette. Iced coffee, orange juice. They serve complimentary hot tea. Good food! I came here around 10:00 am on Friday so there wasn't a line to wait. Outdoor was full already, but there were plenty of seats inside. I noticed there were a lot of people smoking outside. I don't know if this is like the only restaurant in the area that lets you smoke within 3 feet of door or what. Maybe that's why they are all gathered here. That type of second-hand smoke entrance is just not for me. I don't think the restaurant should make any changes. These people need to eat somewhere too. I'll just go somewhere else. Upon entry, I was asked to wait by the door. These other people walked in behind and just sat down. They said there are a lot of seats just sitting down. Did they work there? No. Did they own it? No. Just regular customers. I guess it's the culture. Anyway, I was finally sat down at a table. All good. A little chaotic and inconsistent. Again, nothing needs to be changed. These people need a place to eat, too. The table was a little cramped, and we asked to move to a booth. No issues. Perfect. We ordered Shaking Beef with Mac N cheese. That's my translation. I don't know what it is really called. And we ordered a macaroni noodle soup with spare ribs and shrimps. The shaking beef was tasty. Meat was tender and goes well with the macaroni. If you like salty foods, this is your style. The soup came with black hair, so we sent it back. The 2nd bowl also came out with black hair. I started laughing on that second bowl, and honestly, so did the server because.... what shitty luck. The manager came out to apologize. She was very charming, sweet, and thoughtful. I couldn't be upset at her. We just ordered another Shaking Beef. Throughout the experience, we had to follow up and ask for bowls or utinsels. But I also think this is normal for the service around this area. They were all really nice. You just have to ask. So if you're a person who expects other people to think of your needs first, this relationship will not work. I probably won't come back here because of the smoking and the hair x 2. The food here is really good!!! Two things you must order: 1. Nuoi xao bo (pasta and shaken beef) - My favorite dish here! The beef is tender and the taste is so good. Something about the sauce makes it so addicting. 2. Banh bot chien (fried rice flour cake with eggs) - Another favorite dish! So crispy so good! The sauce that comes with it is amazing! The taste is so perfect with the green papaya and pickled carrots. I've tried these two dishes at a lot of places and nothing is compared to this one. The food here is the best!!! So so so good!!!
