i came in on a saturday afternoon and was seated fairly quick. my friend and i shared one dish and it came out within 10 mins of ordering despite the busy weekend. my only complaint is that the waiters didn't bring our waters until after the 5th time we had asked. the dish we ordered was very delicious and the sauce was so addicting! however, i do prefer the one they offer at nep.
Advertised 9.99 Bun Rieu Finding parking can be quite challenging . Restaurant was quite full around noon time. Broth- flavor is quite good. Temperature of the broth should be served hotter as it wasn't hot enough to my liking. Very small serving of shrimp paste. Greens were fresh and chili was definitely packed some heat. Would come back to try their take on pho.
We arrived and even though we were a large party, they sat us down quickly. I ordered the Vietnamese beef stew with French bread and Vietnamese coffee with coconut milk. Broth on the soup was very good. The meat was tender and they served the bread nice and warm. The coffee was excellent. My advice is to let the ice melt some as it is very strong. It is strong, but very good! Service was solid and they were attentive throughout our meal. Overall, a great experience and I can recommend this place for anyone that wants a great casual meal.
My boyfriend has been on the lookout for the best place to get Bo Ne so we came across this place! Lots of menu selections and interestingly includes some Western foods including macaroni or Thai food like Pad Thai. I got the Bo Luc Lac with a Nuoc Mia Rau Ma. I always get these at Vietnamese restaurants and sometimes they don't come out in one portion where it's not the typical shareable dish. It came with rice, veggies, and a small bowl of soup! Such a perfect combination and definitely had me full at the end of the meal. The meat was tender and not chewy at all. As for the drink, it was really refreshing and delicious if you're both a sugarcane and pennywort fan. I tried a bit of my boyfriend's Bo Ne and felt like he could find better. It wasn't too bad if you wanted a quick bite for lunch. As for his Soda Chanh, it had more lemon-y taste to it than a good balance with the soda to it. The workers are attentive and act quick! We'll prob come back and give it a try if we were looking to try their other dishes.
This atmosphere is great for a viet restaurant! Very upbeat clean and modern interior. I like it that they play younger demographic music with 6 different tvs going on with different sports. Definitely a great place to hang out in the afternoon or evening. Now for the food - what we tried for our first time was also great! I recommend the sup NUI that's what I had it's comforting and the pork is not dry. Their bot chien is also good and my husband had the banh canh dac biet my husband said it was 7/10. They make a good coffee and limonade overall we will be back highly recommend.

My wife's side of the family is Vietnamese and they were talking to them in Vietnamese. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, lots of plants, clean and lots of seating. I'll 100% be back next time I'm in time in town.
This is where you go for real Viet food! Amazing experience. Space is more modern and upscale but service is Asian - so don't expect western style service. Food was excellent. Definitely returning for their Viet breakfast signature dish - Bo Ne Viet steak & eggs. Where they get their banh mi bread was a mystery but the best - so realistic. Bun rieu was very good - not salty - no crab shell pieces - very tasty and satisfying.
I love the Asian macaroni style. When i see this location has the dish I was little hesitant because 8 out of 10 times i order from different places, they would give me the American macaroni instead. I was so happy when I see they actually use the correct macaroni. The shaken beef was soft and very tasty. They wrap with foil paper so after 25 minutes on the road, it wad still warm. A lot of garlic for garlic lover. Good portion for an ideal brunch. The only problem I experienced was my drink order. I ordered thru UberEat for sugarcane. They called me and let me know that they were out. I said Im okay with rau ma (pennywort) for replacement. 30 minutes later I receive a cup of milk. I told the Uber deliver guy this is not what I expect to receive. He said the restaurant just replace it because they dont have the other drink neither. You cannot imagine how mad I was. I called the restaurant right away and let them that they should call me back again if they are out of stuff. Dont assume to give me milk, Im lactose tolerance. Oh well, they refund me my drink which is good.
When I say I want Vietnamese food I don't want pho, this is the Vietnamese food I want. Don't get me wrong, I love pho, but there is so much more dishes that I want to try! Lucky for me, my viet friend suggested this place. I typically don't like pate but the Banh Mi Bo Ne was soooooo good. This sizzling plate was so yummy that we ended up cleaning the plate with our bread so we could have every last bit of it. I also really enjoyed the Bun Rieu as it was so warm and hearty. I will be coming back to this spot when I'm back in LA.

It's sooooo peppery. I wanted to ask if they sell it by itself because it was one of the best I've ever had. Their Banh canh was ok, nothing really special. The place was fairy busy during lunch time. The place is clean and nice. A great spot to grab lunch. I would come back to try other dishes but wouldn't get bò né here again.

My go to spot for Bo ne! The meat is super tender, the pate and sauce are super flavorful and the fresh banh mi is delicious. We also tried their bot chien, which is just okay in my opinion. The portion is small for the price. Service is good. I've never tried their other dishes, but they have a large variety here. read more
ELITE. We wanted some breakfast and this was one of the earlier places opened. It blew our socks away. Ordered: - Steak & Eggs / Bo Ne (5+/5): Amazing. The bread was toasted to perfection and was so flakey that it absorbed the sauce of the platter so incredibly well. Steak was flavorful and tender and balanced with all the veggies. This was a dish straight from Nam - Nuoc Mia (4.5/5). Great! I haven't had this drink in years so don't have a good baseline but it was tasty nonetheless - Hu Tieu (4/5). Aromatic broth and was decently sized portion. A win for our son. read more

Ok, I feel like I found my favorite easy spot for good Vietnamese food in OC. The ambiance was no frills, but I enjoyed the TV and live music playing outside for Tet. Food came out pretty quickly and tasted amazing! The service was quick and easy. I will be back! read more

Tried Saigon View for the 1st time and got the Bo Ne (sizzling steak) to try and it did not disappoint! Delicious, cooked to perfection and so flavorful! I recommend getting the Steak! Great service and the food came out perfectly cooked today. We ordered the beefsteak and eggs and chicken Pho with drumstick. The steak was juicy and tender medium cooked with sizzling onions. The Bread is always fresh and hot. The free range chicken noodle soup was on point today not too salty or full of MSG like similar dishes at other restaurants. Their hot milk coffee is quite good too and always a local favorite place to just chill in the morning. The competition sells beef noodle soup next door but very few customers there. Saigon View has five main dishes that are family favorites. You can ask the waitress she is very nice just like the owner. I have not tried all the dishes here but we will definitely return for round two and three and four next time. I think we have found our new favorite place for breakfast and good coffee with great service. Hope to see you guys soon. Wishing everyone a very prosperous and productive New Year in 2020!!! My parents and I visited recently; and finally they are open! My dad and I got the bun rieu, my mom got canh bun. Which are pretty much the same thing. The soup was good in flavor, but it didn't taste like bun rieu to us. It was good, but yeah something was missing. The food and drinks were pretty pricy. But, we were just excited to support a local business during this time, and not cook at home for once. Service was good, pretty fast for being a few tables. Note: I actually bookedmarked this place a while ago but it was for the bo ne. Definitely coming back to try what I really wanted. read more

Love this spot (saw it on a tiktok). We've driven 1.5 hrs just to eat here on several occasions and it never disappoints! Service is great and food comes out fast. Favs are: chicken pho, steak and eggs, banh khot & bun rieu! read more
After visiting Asian Garden mall, my family and I were looking for a great place for Banh mi bo ne. This restaurant popped up in the search. We ordered both Banh mi bo ne and Bot chien - they were good to our taste. To me, the beef was a bit chewy but to my family members it was not. The bread was warm and crispy. The staff was friendly and fast. The restaurant looks clean and has quite pretty decoration. I would come here often if I lived here. However, they do not offer public restroom. read more

WOW WOW WOW WWOW!! the Bo Ne here is so delicious. we got an order of Bo Ne and Banh Khot. here are my review for the dishes: Bo Ne was great, steak medium to medium rare is perfect. i love the pate they put on and i wished i had more. steak was perfectly seasoned and eggs were sunny side up (op la) perfectly cooked. one critique i have is that i wished they gave us more bread that comes with it. very small piece and the banh mi baguette was so skinny and firm... i wish they gave us unlimited baguette or something, come on... overall id rate the dish a (8/10) Banh Khot was mediocre. they only have 8 mini sized pieces. i liked the shrimp one the most. the ground pork was not my favorite. maybe incorporate both? or give more banh khot? very small portion, maybe it is an appetizer but not a meal. i wish there was more variety to choose from beside shrimp and ground pork. they shoud add some toppings like ground shrimp or green onion oil (mo hanh). it was kind of lackluster for me. id rate this dish a (6/10) overall, i love saigon view, if they give me a better experience next time i will change my yelp review to a 5 star! read more

This had to be the worst pad thai I have ever ate. I requested chili paste but they do not have it. The food comes out so late. Service was okay at best. Problems with the pad thai. The shrimp is stone cold and still have their whole shell on that I have to forcibly deshell. There is no peanuts on my pad thai at all. The price is not even worth it. It felt kinda meh to me. My mom had her bun rieu and she says it's pretty bad. Only one good thing. It is well presented I guess. read more

I've been here twice, first time just having coffee and today I had one of there many selections. I'm impressed by the large menu but after having the banh canh today, I'm not so sure if their other dishes will be worthy or a disappointment. The broth of the banh canh is typically thick but it was. Made very runny. According to the server, they serve it two ways, thick or runny. We were not told we had an option (not sure if this was their excuse) but I've not had this dish with the broth runny anywhere in the Bolsa area. To those who are familiar with Bun Rieu, this was what the broth tasted like. Also, there was very little noodles. To their credit, the flavors are there but just wished the broth was thicker. I'm favorable to this place, for now, since they are open to serve those willing to dine out. Service is good but nothing to brag about. They have plenty of outdoor tables and seating. Will be back as long as they are open. Will try other food options. read more

My table and I ordered first but the dishes for a different table came out first. Then I asked for a new piece of bread because the first one was moldy but when the second piece of bread came out, it had a weird smell. The food was good but I don't know if I would recommend this place. read more

Since this restaurant is close to my house, I've had a chance to try many dishes here. Parking: plenty as it shares the lot with many other businesses here. It can get crowded sometimes though if there is a wedding at a banquet in the same area. Service: pretty good, swift, efficient. All of them wore face masks but one of them occasionally took his mask off, which is a bit concerning to me, considering we didn't wear mask while dining in. Place: tables, chairs and restroom are clean, but due to the doors opening all the time, flies and bees find their way inside and circle around the food & nearby booths. Can't imagine if one lands on our food and contaminates it. :/ Food: exceptionally good! I have a good reason to say so because I've tried most of their food. My most favorites are: -Nui Xao Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef stirfry with pasta) -Bo Ne (Sizzling beef on a hot iron plate, served with salad, baguette, butter, egg and liver paste). All their beef dishes were done so well, the meat was very tender and juicy, medium rare inside. -Bun rieu cua (noodle soup with crab, tofu) -Bun xao bo va cha gio (stirfry beef on a rice noodle bed, served with salad and 1 egg roll. The egg roll skin is not a regular skin that you see at other restaurants, it's more like a spring roll paper, but fried version. I'm not a fan of it since it's not as crunchy as I'd like my egg roll to be. *Not recommended food/ drink* -Nuoc Mia (sugar cane juice), Nuoc mia juice tastes kind of old and bland to me. -Bo dam sau rieng (avocado and durian). The Bo Dam Sau Rieng barely has any durian flavor to it ($6 is not cheap for a drink to have a tiny bit of durian). -Bot chien (fried rice cake): it looks kind of deep fried and dried, not like how it's cooked in Vietnam. It's been my favorite snack of all time so I've been searching for a place that serves this dish right - so far no luck. read more
