I'd never had Provel before, so when reading about regional pizza, I was intrigued. And later when knowing we'd be spending the night in STL, I knew we had to try Imo's. Since this location was a couple blocks away from out Airbnb, I called in a pick up order. The STL Special Box Or Whatever was a good way to try all the side nonsense like fried ravioli (chef boyardee meets alpo but still kinda good), provel bites (fried cheese cubes get cold fast), and cinnabuddies (they should probably be called that and are breadstick bites with the obvious sauce, obvi) along with a large two topping pie. Pie: THIN CRUST! CUT IN SQUARES! MINIMAL SAUCE! See, I hate Pizza King (MAF), but this pie was very nice. The provel is pretty much white american. Processed cheese is a little wack, but this works. Something about it just crushes. And unlike PK, Imo's uses real whole slices of pepperoni. Toppings were ample. They hooked the olives up. Service on the phone was whatever and it seemed like the kids in the store didn't really want to be there, and that's the lost star. Coulda been a couple bucks cheaper too. Maybe I didn't have to tip for carry out. I don't know when I'll be here again, but I will definitely speak highly of this delicious mutant pie.

Pizza was overtly sweet and just not satisfying. It didn't hit the spot. Missing Chicago pizza!

I didn't think Calzones were supposed to taste this good. The bread had perfect texture, so thick and soft in was able to hold in all the meat and cheese inside! I ended up going two nights in a row, which should tell you everything you need to know. Night 1: The Fatty B This one lives up to its name--in the best way possible. Packed with flavor and perfectly balanced between savory and indulgent, every bite felt like comfort food done right. The crust was golden and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and held everything together without falling apart. It's rich, so come hungry. Night 2: Meat Me in St. Louis Had to come back and try one of their signature options, and it did not disappoint. Loaded with meats but not overwhelming, and the flavors all complemented each other really well. It's hearty, bold, and exactly what you'd expect from something with a name like that. What really stood out both nights was the consistency--fresh ingredients, quick service, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it an easy go-to spot whether you're grabbing dinner solo or with a group of hungry robotics kids. Pro tip: Don't skip the dipping sauces--they take everything up another level. Two nights, two wins. I'd absolutely go back again.

I also love their Slice of the Day--it's always fun to see what creative flavor they're featuring. The wings are delicious, and most of the staff is friendly and welcoming. Another huge plus is the walk-up window, especially late at night when most other places are closed. It's one of the few spots you can count on for a quality meal after hours. The wait can sometimes be a little long when they're busy, but that's because everything is made fresh. In my opinion, the quality is well worth the wait. If you're looking for great pizza, fresh food, and late-night convenience, Epic Pizza is definitely worth checking out.

Whether you're wrapping up the night or just craving something solid and satisfying, Epic Pizza totally lives up to the name. 10/10 would make another night out pizza run here!

They are located on Kingshighway right by Chippewa and have a fantastic location right in the heart of south city. The place is newer and when we arrived they let us know they were short staffed but to get seated and they would be right over. Grabbed a huge booth/table in the front by the bar and picked out the pizzas n some Buds Nugs as well as Beer Nugs. The Nugs were really great and can't pick which one I liked more but careful cus they are filling and you want to save room for the pizza! We all ordered a pizza (3 total for the table) and ours was the Boxcar. The slices are cute large, and the crust was a perfect balance of crispy but still fluffy. Since we got full on the Nugs we had lots of leftovers for the week to enjoy! Overall place was BEAUTIFUL, servers were friendly, and food was great!

We then ordered a cheeseburger, chicken strips, and a salad, and waited nearly an hour without receiving any food. During that time, our server only checked on us twice, each time assuring us that our food would be out shortly. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables that were seated after us receive their food, finish their meals, and pay their bills before we received anything. As the wait continued, our server seemed to stop checking on our table altogether while continuing to assist the tables around us. After nearly an hour with no food, I tried multiple times to get our server's attention just so we could get our check and leave. Despite several attempts, he never came to our table. At that point, we left. Delays happen, and most customers are understanding when they're communicated with, but the lack of attention, communication, and follow-through made this one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I've had. I will not return.

This is where Fordo's Killer Pizza is located. There are spots outside but I didn't venture over there as we chose inside Lots of TV's going, a nice big bookshelf filled with games and beer to purchase. Waited in line to order pizza and then at the bar to order beer. I had a couple samples before I chose the Saison, it was fruity and refreshing. I had my eye on a cocktail, a Paloma made with their Tangerine Radler, which I love, but alas they were out of the radler. They could make it with grapefruit but I pass on grapefruit. We got the confit buffalo wings; the Deluxe pizza was calling my name with its jalapeno and Castelvetrano olives! My husband got his typical pepperoni and sausage. Food came out pretty quick, the wings first. They are so good! Confit makes them easier to eat but the flavor and texture are great. My Deluxe pizza was really good, a lot of char and bubbles on the crust which is what I like on a wood fired pizza! Lots of pepperoni and little cubes of bacon, plenty of olives and jalapeno. The Ranch for the wings is pretty good, a little dilly for me but great for also dipping the pizza crust!
