    Window For Walk Up Orders

I love it in and out. It's the Healthiest burger and fries for fast food. Quality ingredients. Service and atmosphere are cool.

Sheldon Cooper and Ronald Reagan could have picked up a burger from here!

This is supposedly the oldest In-N-Out still in operation in Southern California if not the chain. It's the original style layout with such an emphasis on drive thru that there's only outdoor seating. I was there on a Tuesday night and by 8 o'clock the car line was pretty long. I walked up and there was a bit of a wait to get a person at the window, but once business was done in about 10-minutes I had a good/lukewarm burger plus fries that were better than I-N-O average. Backing it all up was some of their tasty beverage to wash it down! Burger could have been a bit warmer, but it was good. Exterior access restrooms were available, but they were top quality for that type.

This In N Out location is aaaaalways packed. I've never seen the car line less than the piano store. However I do see that the associates hustle and try to get the orders quicker by going further down the car line. Truly appreciate their hustling! Their kitchen is small so it's incredible how many associates they pack inside to make all that food! The parking lot only has 3 spots so I wouldn't count on being able to grab a spot so I usually try to avoid the car line and find street parking around the block and walk to place the order at their window. One rainy day, my daughters and I stopped by to claim their free cheeseburgers from the library book club and the nice associate Charbel offered them free hot cocoa with marshmallows. Aww that made my daughter's hearts melted with joy.

The line at the walkup window went pretty fast for a Thursday at 1:00pm. Got my usual - hamburger, animal style, extra everything. Careful sitting by the parking lot - motorcycles are smelly.

Burgers tasted great, fries were Luke warm at best. This drive thru has always taken a long time in my opinion. But when we got to the window it seemed like they were just playing around. Which would make me understand why it always took so long. Plus because the area is so small they have to go back n forth to get more prep items. Which halts the line as well if they run out of something.

I enjoyed discovering this In-N-Out Burger location. It is the oldest operating In-N-Out Burger in the U.S. It opened in 1952 and is known as store number 5. Before In-N-Out Burger started opening in other states in the 90's, you could only dine at one in Cali. In my family, we would always stop at an In-N-Out on the way to Disneyland or SeaWorld for summer vacation. It was a fun treat and I would buy a t-shirt and wear it all the time. Even though we have them back in AZ, I still usually only visit them when I am in California. I enjoy keeping it a fun late-night treat for myself when I am visiting. I was in Pasadena recently and was feeling that late night craving for In-N-Out Burger. It was midnight and this location was the closest one to my hotel. I was blown away by the number of cars in line for this place. The line went several blocks. When I got a glimpse of the store itself, I could not believe how small it was. There was a double drive-thru, no dining room, ONE palm tree (most have two) and a small parking lot that can only hold a handful of cars. I had never seen an In-N-Out concept like this before. But then I did not know this was the oldest operating store before coming here. On top of the building was its trademark arrow pointing to the restaurant. Except this one was neon yellow and green instead of red. The sign is now a historic city landmark. Another fact that I read is that this store was the first to offer milkshakes. Because there was nowhere to park, I parked a couple blocks down the street and walked over. There were a few people in line at the walkup window. The kitchen area is so small and employees were bumping into each other constantly. I used to work fast food back in the day and cannot imagine working in these conditions. But the service was good and food came out in under 20 minutes. Because it was after midnight, there were several characters hanging out in the parking lot in the back of trucks. I definitely inhaled a lot of second-hand smoke that night waiting for my food. This is a busy In-N-Out location. I am not sure if I will have a chance to eat at this location again. But it was cool knowing that I ate at a historic In-N-Out Burger location. And as always, my Double-Double with fries hit the spot.

Could never go wrong with InnNOut. I like to order their fries well done with grilled onions on top! Burgers are delicious and you can't beat that price for the quality they serve.

Best burgers and fries and shakes. Family owned and way better than Mickey d. And a lot healthier and less expensive.

I'm so glad we did because we had a wonderful time. Right off the bat, however, I want to point out that this is a cash only establishment. Yes, they do have an ATM inside, but if you want to avoid what I'm assuming is a crazy service fee, bring plenty of cash with you because this place isn't the cheapest meal in town. It's not expensive, but it's not cheap. Also, there is very limited parking so just be ready to park on the street a bit away and walking in. The location itself is small. Narrow and deep. They squeeze in as many tables as they can around the walls while having a long countertop that runs the length of the kitchen. But, with all that said, and with them trying to cram in as many people as possible, it didn't feel too cramped. Only time we really felt the high density was when one of my kids needed to use the restroom and we had to find somewhere to stand and wait for it to become available. Outside of the front of the restaurant, there really is no space to just stand around. The food itself is wonderful. The burgers are no nonsense. They're not trying to be anything other than just a classic diner burger and fries. And that's exactly what I want from a place like this. Nothing is made for Instagram or to chase a trend. This place knows what they're good at because they've been doing it for decades and they don't stray from that. It's a total 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality here and it's better off for it. My son got the chili and demolished it. I was worried he wouldn't like it, but it was anything but the case. I haven't seen him eat chili that fast in a long time. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite part of the whole meal. I think I just wanted something different than what I ordered. I got the peach crumble and, while tasty, it just didn't scratch the pie itch I wanted. It was the perfect blend of soft and crispy. The crumble was good, but I think I wanted more of it. I'm being picky here, but I think it just slightly missed the mark. I really enjoyed my brunch at Pie N Burger. It was a wonderful outing. From the friendly staff to the classic food. It was just nice. And I absolutely look forward to coming back. Again and again.

Over here you get a burger and fries! The service was quick and do like how it's like an old fashioned diner with bar stools and a wooden counter to eat on. The real highlight was the pie.. i believe this Dutch apple pie is one of the better Dutch apple pies ive had in a very very long time. I do wish they made their ice creams in house but you can't go wrong with any pies here!

I thought I already reviewed the best burger in Pasadena!…read more On my first visit, a standard burger was $3.95. I forget what it is now-- $6??? As good as this burger is, it's still a deal. Super Burger is owned by a super-nice Korean family. There are various Korean dishes in their menu available but I only go there for the burgers. What makes their simple burgers so great? First off the burger patty-- the patties are formed in-house. The cooked patties have that irregular edge that can only come from being hand-formed; imperfect and delicious. These aren't the frozen discs delivered by a freezer truck. The ratio of the ingredients are ideal. -- The tomato is sliced to the perfect thickness -- The freshly-shredded lettuce doesn't manspread and take up too much of the burger's real estate -- The thousand island dressing marries the freshness of the veggie section to the animal part perfectly -- The burger patty's girth is appropriately balanced for the other ingredients. -- Their buns have that old-school yeast(?) flavor not available in stores. Their burgers are lovingly prepared and assembled with care. This is why whenever I go, there are always people there. Seating is strictly patio style, looking out onto the intersection of Altadena and Villa. There lot is small lot next to the stand. I'm not sure if it's shared with another business. Street parking is available. Even though super burger is basically a corner burger stand with patio seating, the place is always clean. Super Burger is definitely a sure thing. It is the finest example of what a basic, standard burger can be. Bun, burger patty, lettuce, tomato, and dressing doesn't get better than this.
