We were tired of eating fancy resort food and were craving home cooked Indian food. This place served us authentic Indian food and not americanized version of it. Portions were generous and not overly priced. Their outdoor seating is cute and festive with all the lights. Our server was nice and attentive to our needs. If we come back to Wailea, we will definitely revisit.

Line to order food as no dine in.

12/27/25 - not seating people. Just allowing take out orders. Extremely long lines to order. Ambiance is horrible due to that. Pathetic condition of bathrooms. One stall in women's stall was out of order and other was extremely dirty with no seat covers and dirty floors as well as toilet. I couldn't use it. Horrible way to manage. Please don't come here. Food option okay but yet to try.

Don't think twice, get in here for a delicious meal! The food is obviously made with love, the staff were very friendly and pleasant humans to talk with, and the videos playing in the background were fun and lively! We enjoyed the samosa chaat and kadhi paneer and I think we will order the same things next time, they were so delicious we basically licked the bowls!

My brother and his wife wanted to try an Indian cuisine for dinner while visiting Kihei, Maui for our spring break vacation. We headed to Indian Grill n Curry FKA Yak and Yeti located on 1881 S. Kihei Road and was worth a visit. It was a Monday night so it didn't seem crowded, which was nice. The waiter, and maybe the owners, seemed nice and friendly. I really love that the waiter recommended and also explained the menu as we have basic knowledge in our Indian cuisine. It was a nice and quiet experience. I asked the guy where to find the serving aluminum like bowl and he jokingly agreed for me to take it home Don't worry guys, I didn't! We had curry fries, vegetable samosa, butter chicken, lamb biryani, palak paneer, chicken vindaloo, and ended with a sweet dessert, gulab jamun [fried dough balls soaked in rose water syrup]. Another must try place if you're looking for a bold and new experience dancing your tastebuds too.

Great service and delicious Indian food. My Bf and I were craving indian food, and decided to come here. Knowing we are supporting a restaurant that use to be in Lahaina and reading other reviews, this is our favorite indian spot on the island, even tho there is not many places. The prices were fair for the amount of food, we took leftovers home. we ordered the mango lassi's which were delish, and started with the samosa chaat mild, it was the perfect amount of spice and loved it compared to just the regular samosas. For dinner we had Dal Takda and Mutter paneer both mild because we know we cant handle medium LOL. Both were really good, but my BF liked the Mutter paneer better. we had garlic Naan and onion kulcha, which paired perfectly with the dishes, it also came with big bowl of basmati rice. The restaurant was clean, and the servers were nice and helped in a timely manner. Food came out fast and they also gave us Kama aina which was nice. Definitely will be back!

This was my go to place for lunch. Wife was working on vacation and would bring her lunch from year almost every other day. We tried palak paneer, mutter paneer , daal makhani and fish curry. Every dish comes with 1 serving of rice. We needed up ordering one Kira rice too. The food with medium spice level was perfect for us. Sometimes it was tad bit on salty level. They have small dining area on upper level where down the hatch is. The place gets full fairly quickly on weekends and dinners. There are few tables outside the restaurant too but still covered no open seating. You also have to place to go order before 8 and we saw them running out of food by then. It's very hard to reach them over phone in evening time. Lunch someone picked the phone. It takes 15 minutes for order to be served or ready so be prepared. Though it's quite fresh and hot. Do recommend this place if you have food restrictions and like or eat Indian food.

We were craving some Indian food after being on vacation for 4 days and we were very glad we found this place. We got kanda bhajiya, malai kofta, cheese garlic and jalapeño naan which were all great. The qty is good too. Everything on the menu is expensive. The staff were polite and checked on us multiple times. We decided to bring back paneer makhani entree for our meal the next day, but the paneer makhani was very disappointing and the rice was not soft and cooked properly. Other than that the malai kofta and the naan were great. Good option in Maui if you are craving Indian food.

Welcome back to Lahaina! Excellent food and wonderful people. I only wish we would have ordered more so I would have leftovers!

The food was the best Indians food I have had here in America. It was great value for the price. It was filling yet wasn't too heavy. 10/10.

So today we walked over to check out the Ulu Kitchen located in the Westin Maui. Short walk from the Marriott Maui Ocean Club down the pathway. Sat on the deck overlooking the beach and took in the ocean breezes. Staff were very attentive and quick to get us settled in to our table. Our server Brandon happily took our drink order bringing back some amazingly cocktails. The Mai Tai had a decadent foam on top unlike your normal Mai Tai that truly made the cocktail unique. Brandon took our order and we took in the beautiful Kaanapali coast and people watched, our food came and we started with a Tako (octopus) prepared in an escargot style served with house made focaccia bread. Great way to start and the sauce full of garlic and butter. The salad was great with the option of chicken or local fish and I took the fish. The smash burger was da bomb! Great quality beef on A soft brioche bun, the French fries had a unique flavor twist prepared with a little rosemary, very good. Loved the feel of the room (if you call it that-solid roof flowing onto lattice and then palapa style umbrellas and completely open on 3 sides. Great music in the background with the ocean views ocean breezes superb cocktails and delizioso food. This was our "Linner" late lunch and early dinner. Bravissimo Ulu Kitchen not only will we be coming back and staying at the Westin we will be coming back to your cucina to dine again. Mahalo Nui Loa. Ciao

For breakfast, I got the Pete's Benedict and The Cure twice. Pete's Benedict was good, rich hollandaise sauce but couldn't eat it more than 1 day. The Cure is their version of ramen noodles with an Hawaiian twist, they put Kailua pork for the protein, along with an fried egg, and a bunch of veggies - carrots, bok choy, mushrooms, bean sprouts and onions. It was salty, but really good for a night of drinking. It's literally called the cure because it cures hangovers. lol. It was delicious. My husband got the blueberry and lilikoi pancakes one day, it was really good, very Hawaiian. And the kids menu was eggs, bacon and 3 fried potatoes. My toddler enjoyed it every day. They don't serve drinks until 8am, due to state laws. For HH we got the famous mai tai with lilikoi foam, they didn't do it well here. It was too much lemon, felt like you were drinking only lemon juice with some rum, but the lilikoi foam was consistent and good. Skip the mai tai and go to MonkeyPod, bartenders are more experienced there. Overall, we enjoyed breakfast here everyday.

We started with some clams, and for that price you only got like 6 clams. Knowing that now I would skip! Stick with just a salad and entree. We got the Caesar salad, it was pretty good. My entree was the ahi tuna slightly seared. This restaurant is one of the only places I know that can cook an ahi tuna right. Other places we've been too tends to overcook it. Hula grill got it right. It was delicious. My husband got the Mac nut fish, and he said it was ok. He said it needed a better beurre Blanc sauce. Maybe with some citrus. It lacked flavor. But the best thing here was the kids menu. When we went they had a $20 petite filet with mash potatoes. It was perfectly cooked. My 2 year old ate ALL 4oz of the filet! It was that good. I tried a little piece and hot damn, what a deal. The best kids menu deal when they have it available! Get it. It was our anniversary, so the server gave us a celebratory hula pie. So good. I understand that reservations need to be honored, but refusing customers while an empty dining room sits unused is frustrating and sends the message that appearances matter more than hospitality. No matter how good the food may be, treating potential customers this way is disappointing. Businesses that turn away willing patrons without reasonable accommodation risk losing not only those customers, but also the goodwill that helps them succeed.
