When our AC went out we hoped it was just a simple fix. Turned out that it wasn't, and major repairs were required. Being that the cost was so high, I was extremely careful in interviewing contractors and getting quotes. To make matters worse, I had no experience with HVAC systems and I needed to learn how they work so that I could make an informed decision. Not only did Richard at Infinity give us a great price, he spent an inordinate amount of time discussing the work with both myself and my wife. He really went out of his way to make sure that we understood what was happening and that we were comfortable with the work being done. We interviewed a number of other contractors who instead used that time to push scare tactics and up-sell us on things we didnt need. They were very inflexible on setting up terms, instead they will try hard to push you to use their their third party lender. That wasn't what we wanted, but it may be good option for some people. All in all, we were very happy with the service we received from Infinity and I won't hesitate to use them again. Awesome experience with Infinity. Called the company this morning and they were able to send a tech within one hour. Denis was very professional and couldn't be better. Through my Youtube research the night before, I predicted it was probably a capacitor issue, but still wanted a professional opinion in case there were other issues I was unaware of. Denis confirmed it was solely the capacitor issue. He gave me the price quote and knowing it was just a capacitor issue, I decided to replace it myself. The price was reasonable, but I'm cheap and confident I can do it myself. Denis was totally understanding and did not pressure me to have him do the repairs. They came out to provide a quote for weatherproofing our Attic and sealing up any leaks with our current system & ductwork. They re-confirmed their appointment prior to coming out, texted to let me know who was coming out & when they were on the way. Arrived on time & immediately showed ID & put covers over their shoes to not track in grease or dirt from the street. Very professional & very courteous. The bid was much higher than I anticipated and not competitive with other quotes received. However, they were a professional, courteous & reliable company to deal with which is very hard to find these days and their estimate was clear, concise & in writing! I didn't catch the name of the lovely person on the phone, but she was just as courteous as can be. I called after 5 pm with an air conditioner out and the temperature at 107 degrees. Coel was at our home within an hour, diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than another 1/2 an hour. We are in the process of selling a condo in the Manhattan Condo community. The heating is provided through a hydronic heating system, which we knew nothing about. I called one other company but they weren't able to come out for 5 days The house was 89 degrees inside, in July, so I couldn't wait. I called Infinity and they said they could come that day. I'm very happy with the service provided. A friend of mine that does heating and cooling assumed that my problem was my condenser fan motor from the info I provided over the phone and I expected it to cost $400 (quote from Infinity). Upon arrival the tech told me that it was only the capacitor that only costs 283. They could have easily charged me more and replaced both for a bigger charge. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. I will use these guys again and will refer friends to them. Also, my downstairs AC went out on July 3 and when I called them I made an appointment for July 5th because that day was more convenient for me. They called me back on the 3rd telling me that they had a cancellation and could come out before the holiday if I wanted them to.
