We ordered 2 lunch specials I had beef with peppers and tomatoes with beef fried rice. About halfway through I noticed a shiny form in the rice. At first glance I thought it was a reflection BUT No, it was a roach! A roach ! I immediately got up from my desk and went over to my co worker and told her to stop eating! We walked in 9pm on a Saturday night and even though they closed at 10 no one made us feel rushed. Our server was so helpful and so very sweet and answered all our questions. The general atmosphere was so cheerful. Then the food. It was out to us in what seemed like just minutes. We got the Kung Po beef and a combination meal of shrimp, beef and chicken with cashew. This was an interesting restaraunt. I mean that in a sincere way. When my wife and I entered there was nobody to seat us and the chef hard at work in the kitchen by himself. Though I enjoyed the moment of calm so I could take in the awesome atmosphere. This place is the real deal. This is a real small business with some of the healthiest tasting ramen I think I've ever had. If you're looking for junk food, this isn't going to be your spot, but hear me out. This bowl of noodles is big with some really subtle flavor that is really rather pleasant. The tea comes from the Kung Fu Tea next door and the thai tea was solid. I called and tried to speak to the manager and was given the run around and the girl on the phone thought it was a joke. This was my first time going there and it's going to be my last. When I was finally able to speak with I told him my chicken fried rice was cold and so was my edamame. The Godzilla roll I ordered also tasted funky but I didn't mention it. The guy was really rude and tried to make it seem like I was lying and making up a story. He continued to say he couldn't find my order. Finally after 10 minutes of going back and forth he said he would remake it but at that point I just wanted a refund. He stated he doesn't do refunds and that he only gives credits. After I told him I didn't want the credit he said he'll give me a cash refund if I come back and prove to him the food was cold. The food was nasty and the customer service is terrible. read more

This place wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The inside is nice and the sushi bar looks pretty cool. The service was pretty decent. I got the dry Mongolian beef and it was pretty good. Had good flavor. The rice was not very good. Fried rice that literally had no vegetables or egg in it. The egg roll was pretty good and so was the egg drop soup. They had a chili paste that was a good addition to the food. The portions were really big and it was a good deal at $9.25. All in all not bad and a decent place for a quick lunch. read more

It was really good a little expensive but the setting is super pretty so it's expected and best of all they're willing to accommodate food to your wants but you'd need to pay. I wanted a tuna roll with spicy mayo so for a dollar more they drizzled the spicy mayo not only on the salmon roll but also the Godzilla roll we ordered. The waitress was sweet and so were the rest of the employees. We had a good experience. (Reason for why 4 and not 5 stars: Five stars seems too good I gave them 4 because it wasn't "omg super amazing and perfect" but it's a nice place to eat. Used to go to the Harlem location many years ago. I remember it fondly. This newer location is nice, clean, better lit. This time I ordered carry-out. Hmmmm.... not too good. I mean, it's Chinese food. If you love it, it's always decent. But let me go down my order. Veggie eggrolls were just okay. I've had better from frozen. Not a lot of flavor. Shrimp Toast: usually a favorite of mine. Not every place makes it. A lot make it differently. This was like a shrimp paste sandwich. Very thick, over an inch. And greasy. I MEAN GREASY. It's as if they cooked it in the hot oil and then turned it off and left them submerged. And the grease was spent. Not saying old, but it had been on too high for too long. I've cooked for 40 years, I could taste it. And the shrimp toast soaked up every drop it could. Had one in hopes it would get better (lol). The rest--garbage. White rice...fine. You can't mess it up too badly. Mushroom fried rice. Plenty of extra mushrooms as I requested, but the rice, while brownish with soy or whatever sauce, was pretty bland. The only flavor was the actual mushrooms. Overall not awful, just not flavorful. Mongolian beef had plenty of beef. Rice noodles on top and maybe two pieces of a quarter scallion. Odd initial taste, with odder aftertaste. Maybe star anise? The Twice Cooked Pork was mostly onions and GREEN peppers. (which seems to be the go-to addition in most Chinese-American food now). I mean TOO much. Didn't see any scallions. (Maybe they put them in the beef?) Two small squares of red pepper. Probably less than 7 pieces of cabbage (1/4 pieces). And only twice did I get a blast of heat from a hot pepper. Should have been more. Every bite. The last Chinese meal I had was in Chinatown last month. Maybe I'm spoiled from that. I'll forego Ing's from now on. No 20 minutes later snacking here. Leftovers went straight to the garbage. read more

I've been going here for double digit years. They were initially in Bridgeview when I first learned of them. A very kind lady by the name of Lily was an employee there at the time. I would dine in just to have small chats on their not so busy days with Lily. I'm very basic when it comes to Chinese Food. Only shrimp fried rice,egg roll and chicken wings for me. The food has always been fresh! I've never had one complaint for all of these years. I left the State and came back to learn that they've moved,but not far from the first location. Happy to still be doing business with them. I've been using Uber Eats lately because after work I just don't feel like fighting the traffic to get to Ings,but glad I can still order. The prices have changed,but that's for every business. I only wish they'd send out more than 3 soy sauce with a large shrimp fried rice,but that's not a dealbreaker considering my food is always fresh. Despite the 3 star ratings and me being lazy to drive further to a better rated place, I did the mistake of ordering takeout from here last night and got the Mongolian Beef dinner with Chicken Fried rice. The chicken fried rice was so terribly bland that no matter how much soy sauce or any sauce you put on it will not make it any better. The Mongolian Beef was not any better either. In fact it was literally so disgusting that neither I or my wife finished a quarter of the meal before throwing out in the garbage. Also, no joke, the food had this weird musty taste as if it's been marinating in a basket full of jock straps. I love this place for Chinese. I have been coming here for over 20 years. They are consistent and even under new ownership the food is still yummy. The same two servers, Morton and Lily have been there for years and always give excellent service! You can not beat the value either, by ordering a dinner it includes tea, soup, egg roll and fried rice with your meal. Yes the decor is a little dated, but there is some fresh paint and I find comfort in the fact that after all these years it's still a great place to go. I like old school! Pressed Duck is one of my favorites! For an appetizer ask for " rice crispy " they fry rice and it's crunchy, it sticks together and you break it apart, to me it tastes like popcorn!
