Don't eat here. Believe the negative reviews, because either the other people are lying or their palate is trash. I ordered the broccoli with garlic sauce. It's inedible. The hawiaan fried rice also inedible. It has dry chicken breast chunks in it with absolutely no seasonings and it looks like they just dumped caned pineapple in it and called it a day. The rice is literally still white. The egg rolls were good... Well maybe not good but at least edible. Kinda heavy on the nutmeg or cinnamon or something though because the filling was sweet which was weird, but they had excellent crunch. I would not eat here again and I'm throwing away most of my food. What a waste. read more

Ordered lunch through Uber Eats for the first time here. Ordered the BBQ with broccoli - I thought it was tasty, moist and had lots of pork pieces and huge pieces of broccoli with crunch. First time having this ever, and I would order again. Rice was moist. Flavorful white onions, nice broth. Also ordered egg drop soup - a bright orange color, which I've never seen before. A little greasy. Not very flavorful and I'm not sure if I would order again. I would, however, dine in to see if there's any difference. Not a bad lunch and would recommend. read more

I love this food!!! The BBQ Pork Almond Ding has nice big flavorful pieces of pork. I decided to be daring and went with the Foo Young Don. It was a delicious Egg Foo Young with a gourmet favor that had beef and shrimp. I always put soy sauce on everything but the flavor of this dish was perfect and didn't need it. Iv'e been going to the China Wok for my take out food because they were cheaper than Ing's Palace & good! I use to go to Ing's all the time, and they were great! Well I decided to go back to Ing's and get take out on Monday since China Wok was closed. This was my first time going to Ing's Palace in over 20 years. Like I said, we use to go to Ing's all the time, and there food was fantastic! Well....I can no longer say that about Ing's. On Monday I bought shrimp & pea pods: The shrimp was soft and mushy, the pea pods were also way over cooked, mushy & slimy, and the juice was a complete turn off. There was sooo much juice, and it was slimy! I threw it away. I bought the Mongolian beef too: again, a ton of juice and the beef was flavorless. I also bought the beef chopsuey, AGAIN" a ton of juice and not much flavor. Even the egg rolls had a lot to be desired. The crab ran-goons were the only thing that was really good. What a BIG disappointment after spending $46.00. I'll be staying at the China Wok permanently from now on...bye bye for good Ing's....YUCK read more

Worst Chinese. My chicken was raw and the chow mein was like water. No flavor and raw chicken. Wouldn't refund us either.

Just placed an order online through Beyond Menu, as usual when I got to the restaurant I discovered they wouldn't put the order in till I signed for it. I'm glad to sign the credit card receipt however the idea of paying online in advance is that the order would be put in when I order it. I've been going to Ing's since 1978 two owners ago, I enjoy their food but the repeated behavior of the young woman at the desk of mistrust over my signature and use of the online service was awful. if i could give this place negative stars I would. The food is the second to worse chinese I've ever had. I ordered the mooshu and sweet and sour pork plus hot and sour soup. The soup tasted and looked EXACTLY like puke, that I actually threw up a little after eating just two spoons of it. The pork was so sick we didn't even bother to try it. The only thing that was edible was the mooshu which apparently does not come with pancakes or utensils unless YOU REQUEST FOR UTENSILS. I just moved into my apt (needless to say I ended up ordering pizza) after I'd spent the worst 25 bucks of my life. I'd rather pay 25 dollars to have never ordered this meal. Run from this place, its the biggest waste of money. Oh also the cherry on top of my cake, I found a small finger nail in my (puke soup). When I called the place the owner pretended like he had no idea what I was talking about. Great food, and even better service. read more

This is my go to Chinese place to order from. Their food is always consistent and delicious. I usually get egg rolls, fried rice and chop suey. I just ordered from here last night and they always bring it hot in under an hour. I've only eaten inside once and it's sort of run down and could use updating. I thought they were closed for remodeling but I'm pretty sure I went there afterward and it looked the same to me. The only problem I have is that I don't like the beef they put in the chop suey so I always say "easy beef" because my mom likes it and every time they still load it up with beef. A lot of the times the chop suey is all beef and a handful of beansprouts or water chestnuts. We continually ask them to no avail. read more

Went here the other day after not going for a while and this place still doesn't disappoint, the food is just good, fresh,and quality ingredients. I have to agree with people the decor is outdated, but I'd go here to eat any day over a PF Chang's. They have a bunch old school mixed drinks too. The food was delivered so fast and so hot. All was delicious. We had fries rice, chop suet, orange chicken. The portions are perfect, and we even had leftovers. Definitely will be ordering again and again The delivery guy was super polite. read more

I LOVE INGS!! you feel the awesome asian atmosphere of the restaurant from the minute you see the fountain at the entrance. The inside is pretty cool too. Trust me, the place looks like some rundown shack from the outside, but the inside will really surprise you and exceed your expectations by a lot. The staff is awesome. The food is even better! I LOVE LOVE their food. They have a lot of options and everything tastes very authentic. Try the Szechwan Beef (I don't know if i spelled that right), but it's awesome. If you want something a little bit less spicy, go for the broccoli and beef or mongolian beef. Great food. Why 4 stars and not 5: only complaint: there was a drunk man yelling and screaming and disturbed the whole restaurant. He was up by the cashier at the front of the restaurant and staff did nothing but kept speaking to him. My company and I were verrry verry appalled by this! THIS IS BAD BUSINESS ING'S PALACE! This place is nasty! First I asked if they can switch white rice for fried rice for extra money, they tell me no. Ok I get it maybe this place doesn't do that. Then I ask for Mongolian beef, they give me pieces of beef with no taste like not even an onion on it. They tried to fool me by putting some noodles on top like I won't notice the onions missing. From the outside it seems like a shady dive and almost was not wanting to pull in and stop. Once inside it was clear its a secret yummy place that the locals know about. Mixed reviews to be honest.. The WonTon Soup was good.. not oily.. but had large piece of fatty pork.. the wonton was good fresh and served hot. The STAR of the show is the hand made, Egg Roll. It was one of the best I ever had.. I would drive across the city to eat one again.. I had the Beef Broccoli and it was disappointing. It can in a overpowering, soupy brown sauce that drenched the meat so poorly it was not really edible. The beef was good.. My suggestion would be the back on off the sauce and let the meat shine.. Overall not bad... but back off on the sauce in the dishes.. It clearly states your hiding the meat or chicken in the dish read more

*Update* Ing's has really gone downhill since the old man sold it off, the new owners have started cutting corners with the food. Tried it 3 times over the course of 2 months and it has always been the same, bland. The mongolian beef always had a rich thick gravy, not anymore! It is now watery, bland with cheap cuts of meats filled with cartilage. Wonton soup, fried rice, eggrolls are now flavorless. This is a real dissapointment, staff has vastly changed, new staff is very inexperienced and don't know what to do. Prices have risen $2-3 dollars and it is now pretty expensive for what they offer. This used to be an amazing hole in the wall that I went to several times a month with friends. I will no longer be eating at this place and searching for a new restaurant. read more

I've been coming to this location for years! My parents brought me here as a child and I am now bringing my kids. I decor is not great and it still looks almost the same as it did 20 years ago. It a two story brick building with an apartment on top. It doesn't have must show on the outside and ost would just drive past with out giving a second look. But I find that sometimes the best food is found and some of the biggest dives. The food is always fresh, I'm not a big fan of Chinese food as I find some of the restaurants meats don't look like real meat. Ing's food is by far the best! The chicken is fresh and biting into the meat you can feel the texture and know it is not processed! The owner is so welcoming and always has a smile on his face. He welcomes regulars as if they are family and makes sure everyone is happy with what they ordered. The orange chicken is our family favorite though I am happy with everything I order and love trying something new on the menu each time I go. The Thai dishes are new and delirious! I love spice and it has just the right amount of kick to it. If you like it really hot just let them know and they will have no problem adding some more heat! This is a diamond and I would hate for people to pass this place up. Try it for yourself and you will see what I love about it! read more

The Hunan Chicken vegetables were like Birds Eye frozen veggies down to the stubby green beans and cubed carrots and corn [grumble]. The Mongolian Beef was barely passable. Next, the Jumbo Shrimp Egg Foo Young was [meh] and the larger Shrimp that we paid for must have ended up on someone else's plate. What's going on over there? Did your chef walk out tonight? I regret to inform I have no choice but to stand by all the negative reviews. I recently ordered delivery and I must say the chicken fried rice tasted as if it was reheated. The Mongolian beef looked more like roast beef with pieces of undercooked vegetables. I feel I owe it to everyone to mention the aftermath of my meal. For lack of better words, my stool was complete liquid and somewhat painful. For this, I give one star and unfortunately will not be returning. read more

A tiny little Chinese joint, but what it lacks in ambiance, it makes up in quality food. The best choice if your eating here are the combos. You can get them for parties of 2 to 20. All include at least four entree choices, white rice, won-ton soup, egg rolls, and almond cookies. The dining area is small, and very dark, and not exactly the epitome of cleanliness. So my personal suggestion here would be carry out. The have an exceptionally good Mu-Shu pork dish. read more

What a frickin dump. They have a 25lb. fish in the tank by the door that couldn't pray hard enough to be pan fried. When you get seated it's a 50/50 shot that your bumb in going to stuck. I wear hip waiters just to go to the washroom. But, it has that wounderful feel of a brothel in modern day Cuba. That said, the food is pretty good. The drinks are very tasty. And shang high Lil is always a treat. Woulda you rike a tabo or Boof. Let me think about that one. I have had that combo platter in the same flaming wood bowl without fail. Our family has been going for 25 years. I make sure to stop in every time I'm in town. Their meats and seafood, are fresh & tender an astonishingly high quality. Best Egg Rolls ever, and fried chicken - yes chicken. You must order the wings as an appetizer - they are huge also. I always have to remember they use a lot of gravy, so I just have that on the side, or remove it altogether. I have to remember this is the southside - gravy comes with everything. I agree with Michele, a tiny joint but great food and if you are looking for updated and clean, look again. I think the sample appetizer tray is great. It comes in an old broken down wood bowl and I have had that alone for dinner. Never had a bad meal.The drinks are very good, Blue Hawaii. I like to dine in for the interesting people that work or go there. Lily waitress is a gas and how can you beat a Chinese waiter with an Australian accent and of course the trailer park folks who come in. Recently revisted it about 2 years ago after it had been closed down for a very long time (dont know why) The inside hasnt been updated in over a decade. Ordered a take out from here tonight. Collected it myself, and when I got home they had forgotten the rice. When i phoned them the guy pretended not to be able to understand me. They understood good enough when I spent $42 in there!! Then he pretended not to have any drivers to deliver it to us. After all that, the food was not very good. Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of Chinese food. I have tried many different dishes from all different restaurants and have never been happy with anything. I have given up trying to eat Chinese food anymore since I just don't like it.....until I had to eat at Ing's for my Father in law's birthday. The canton beef was amazing, the egg drop soup was delicious, and the veggie egg rolls were to die for!
