I got a piercing here and it was infected for months, i reached out to them for help but they insisted it was just healing. I finally couldn't take the pain anymore and took the piercing out. My experience here was 10/10. We didn't have an appointment and we went on a good day because there was literally no wait time. Austin took care of my friends and I. He was funny, careful and just an all around great guy. He pierced both sides of my nose and made sure that he picked the perfect spot. He made me feel very comfortable too! I went to this shop on Friday to get my nose pierced, I'm not going to lie, I was so scared but I wanted my nose pierced so bad. Lance told me it's not that bad and I'm going to be fine. My friends came with me for support . The place is vey clean and sterile that's a plus, I sat down,he cleaned my nose, and explained the process he told me to count to 3 and before I got to 3 it was over. such a horrible experience. i've gotten probably 10+ piercings on my ears over the course of 10 years and never had a problem until i came here. not only was it the most expensive piercing ive ever had done just to get cartilage done midway on each ear, but it was excruciatingly painful. i have a high pain tolerance and it felt like having string metal pulled through my ears for minutes. seemed like the guy had no clue what he was doing then put flat backs on without telling me what they were. it was way too tight, had to get them removed by another piercer, got a crazy infection and have been going to regular appointments to try to get the huge keloids gone for months now. worst piercing experience of my life and shocked that the reviews here are so high. at least hope that guy doesn't work here anymore but i couldn't be paid to go back. read more

Ramon went ahead and went over the lines and shaded it in! I'm really pleased with the end result. I was weary about color tattoos, but he added red and it came out great. Today, I returned to get a couple of piercings. I got my tragus repierced and a conch piercing. Thomas did both and they were virtually painless. He was quick and didn't fumble around when putting the jewelry in (as some piercers do). I think it should be noted that everyone at the shop is really friendly and personable. This review is long over due, but it's was so well deserved. I researched a piercer for months in 2015! I stubbled across Thomas and looked up his work on instagram. I fell in love with his creative energy and knowledge. Knowledge is so key when doing body alterations or enhancement. I definitely learned that lesson once I set up an appointment with him. He was honest, because originally I wanted to have a different piercing and he told me it wasn't going to heal properly (because of my ear shape). I appreciated his honesty and I wasn't heart broken because I saw a 3point industrial on his instagram. He said I could do that one. I set an appointment and on August 12th 2015 I got my favorite piercing! The experience was amazing. Cleaned everything, measured, gave me tips for care, checked on my complicated piercing even after my appointment. Passion for quality blows me out of the water. This review is for the PIERCINGS at Ink Money. WARNING: Thomas is no longer here!! I have gotten a bunch of piercing at ink money while Thomas was here, and they were great. BUT, when I went to get a forward helix a couple weeks ago, I found that he was gone. I liked Ink monkey and thought that they must have hired someone just as good.... I was wrong. My piercing came out so bad that I ended up having to go to another shop to get it checked on and they immediately told me it should come out, let it heal, and they would re-pierce it for me. (not a money grab from them, they said they would redo it for free) Pros: - Lance (the piercer) was really nice! - He was honest that he thought my ear couldn't fit 3 forward helixes and suggested good placements instead. Cons: - He pierced me TWICE! For anyone who has gotten two piercings near each other, you know that the second one hurts like hell! After the first one, I said I could let it heal and just come back, but he said it was fine and he could just do it in the right place. He said that he didn't like the placement of it and wanted to redo it. I found out later that wasn't the case... - He pierced me at a wrong angle both times! (I went to another shop get it checked out after I got a piercing pimple, which I had never had before and they were the ones who could see both punctures and that they were at completely wrong angles) - It took him a couple of minutes to actually get the jewelry in my ear because it "wasn't going through" (due to the wrong angle) - He used a post that was way too small for my ear. My ear swelled quite a bit instantly (which I admit was weird, but should have been noted when putting in the jewelry on the second attempt). After 3 days, I slightly bumped near my piercing while cleaning it and it popped out. - He told me to use dove soap on my piercing, which I personally thought was really weird. I haven't had anyone tell me to use soap in years (use H2Ocean or wound wash from either the piercing shop or CVS, it works great!). read more

Thomas has pierced both my ears now and I couldn't be happier with them -- he's endlessly friendly, professional and knows a ton about his craft. I'd had terrible gun piercings done before as an uneducated teenager and I wish I'd known about people like Thomas at the time. The difference is night and day. Our tattoos were not too complex, but even so I think we were out in under 45 minutes from when we walked in. This may not be a good thing for my wallet since I may just end up popping in often for another bit of ink. Just got my septum done yesterday (July 14); honestly BIG SHOUT OUT TO LANCE for an amazing piercing. I wanted one that hugged my nose pretty snug, and he nailed it; he also took the time to make sure I liked it. I don't have the best tolerance when it comes to pain, but he was quick, had no slip ups, and the whole thing was done so quickly. I also talked his ear off (as I do when I'm nervous), but he was incredibly patient and understanding. I got my nose pierced over a decade ago when i was 17 years old after an booze infused idea during senior week. Though I took it out a year later, I recently started to wonder if maybe that wasn't just another terrible decision made in my adolescence. After some good old fashioned Yelp searching I stumbled upon Ink Monkey. I walked in and there was virtually no wait, which is always a huge plus. I met with the piercer there who walked me through the process and showed me their selection of nose rings. Though the selection is limited, they use surgical grade platinum which is exactly what I was looking for. The smaller sized rings are 1.5mm which was also another huge plus. When I went back into the piercing room, I was handed a paper towel and was told exactly how the piercing would be performed. He instructed me to moderate my breaths during the process as though he knew that I would just hold it the whole time. After 4 seconds and a slight pinch later, I received cleaning instructions and went on my way. Overall I had a really great experience at Ink Monkey, and if I ever decide that getting a tattoo also wasn't just another crazy (awesome) idea of my youth, I'll definitely go back for some more ink. read more

I went to Ink Monkey and got a total of 4 piercings back in June with Lance who was the best and unfortunately is no longer there. I purchased very expensive jewelry to be exact $165 for each 14k opal clusters. A week ago one of the stones fell off... naturally when you spend this much on jewelry you think it's covered for at least a year! It's been only a few months! I called and explained what happened and told the receptionist I was nearby she said they could see me in 3 hours so I stayed in the area. Once I showed up to the shop the piercer told me I would have to pay for the new earring AND for him to put it on! This is absurd. Had I known this I would have bought a more affordable earring and then invested in jewelry somewhere else. Only giving this place 3 stars because as far as the piercings go they did a great job but very disappointed with the customer service! read more

Safety precautions are great. They are definitely on the expensive side. My problem is that for ear piercing, they use a stud that requires you to return to their place to get the studs removed with a special tool and then they charge you $10. And neither of the three people I know that had their ears pierces there were told that before the piercing. read more

I went to Ink Monkey with my girlfriend to get ear piercings, and the entire experience felt very rushed and inattentive. We weren't given much instruction after we got in and were just told to wait in line. When it's finally our turn, Two Hawks just expected us to have picked our earrings already. Mind you, there was no mention of price and no price tag listed for the earrings anywhere in the store. When we asked him about the prices of different earrings, he started becoming short with us. The entire piercing experience turned from one of excitement to stress and anxiety. We felt pressured and rushed to pick a design. When we had second thoughts of our piercing location, Two Hawks showed even more annoyance. I wish I read other reviews about Two Hawks being short with them.
