We were the last people in line, and we had been waiting in line since before closing time. Right after the woman at the register served the people before us, the clock struck midnight. She looks at us, tells us Insomnia is closed, and refuses to serve us. Again, we were the LAST people in the establishment and it would have taken maybe two minutes to get our cookies. Alright so I don't write reviews that often, but I was pretty unsettled by the customer service here at this Insomnia Cookies. We were all first timers in the area, but we had eaten Insomnia Cookies before in New York and other Chicago areas. The quality, of course, was fantastic, as they always are, which is why it deserves the three stars I'm giving it. However, the lady at the front counter was a little rude and honestly didn't give us the time of day, which ruined the exciting ice cream and cookie delicious experience! Just happened to pull in front if this place AND SO glad I did. I got a random selection (24 cookie box) ran me roughly $41 after tax !! Well worth it. I did for a moment wonder if I got into deep. They do have smaller options BUT !!!! Someplaces YOU ONLY get to come to once soooo GAME ON, GIVE IT TO ME... They are well WORTH the money. I got M&M, Snickerdoodle, chocolate chip mint,caramel apple (yummmm),peanut butter chip and oatmeal raisin (6 types 4 each) they were all out of Chocolate chip (whaaat!!!!) But NO WORRIES they still had plenty to choose from. Plus will give me a reason to 1 come back 4 them and 2 they have a brownie I want to try and 3 BIG cookies I want to try as well !!! If I could give this location 0 stars I would and that's saying a lot. Because I live very close to this location I have been here with my boyfriend a handful of times. Each time we have gone to the store the staff are not at all friendly. They are not welcoming and honestly seem to be very unhappy while at work and communicate that unhappiness toward their customers. On multiple occasions, the staff are on their phones and do not have cookies prepared. For example, tonight they did not have peanut butter cookies prepared and when my boyfriend asked if he could pre-pay and then come back to pick them up after they baked, the employee was condescending and said she was unsure if she could prepare the cookies and attempted to dissuade us from purchasing them at all. This has happened on more than one occasion. It is disappointing that we have continually had very poor experiences at this store and I strongly dissuade anyone from bringing their business here. read more

This place should be closed honestly, I just ordered yesterday around 1pm where there were no customers, not even busy so she shouldn't have messed up my order. The lady at the cash register forgot 2 white chocolate macadamia nut cookies in my 4 classic & 4 deluxe box AND 2 white chocolate macadamia nut cookies again in my super 6 box. She could've checked the box to see if there were an even amount of cookies in the box but she just slips the cookies in and gave the boxes to me without checking. There are so many reviews saying they have bad service and I agree. After I left into my car, I saw the two cookies missing in the deluxe box and went back in to grab them then as we were leaving to the next destination, I noticed another 2 missing, so I called the place and asked the lady that I should get credit for 2 cookies, and 2 extra free ones because I was missing 4 cookies in all, and it was her fault for missing it. IT WAS NOT BUSY AT ALL, she could've done better. My aunt also called the place and she was saying racist slurs, saying that I came in to buy twice because it was so good and said my aunt was lying. Yelp needs to look at the reviews and take action in them. Or the owner needs new employees. read more

Cookies are good. They're always hot and they're open late. However, on two different occasions I've walked by the store front to see store employees sitting on the counter that they use to make the cookies. The second time the employee had her feet up on the counter. If their sanitation practices are that low for parts that are on display from the sidewalk I don't even want to think about what we can't see. read more

Cookies are really good. Love the s'mores deluxe. By far my favorite. Customer service is legendarily bad. I can't tell you how many times I've been in the store with a few other people for 5-10 minutes and no one is being served. Once I saw a girl who had a line out the door sitting in the back (she was the only one on shift) and was eating and texting without any regard for the line that was forming. Ordered at 10:50 PM. It is now 2 AM. I have been waiting for these cookies for 3 hours. My friend just got off the phone with the store and found out that this entire time there wasn't a delivery driver and my order was never going to be fulfilled or delivered. Somehow they accepted & processed my order and all this time were unable to call or email me and let me know that the cookies weren't ever coming and that I was going to eventually be refunded. How can a company that touts their 3 AM delivery service not have a delivery driver at 11 PM? And how could you not inform the customer whatsoever?
