I get waxing and facials done by Lawranne at this location and I always come away feeling renewed and relaxed. Your comfort is quite literally in good hands when you have Lawranne do a facial. You can tell that she knows skin and enjoys helping you find a solution to any problems you might have. The scalp massages are awesome, almost puts me to sleep. I haven't tried all the types of facials yet, but I was definitely satisfied with the Hydropeptide one and want to try the resurfacing one next. I received an excellent, if not very overpriced, pedicure here last week. I took a day off of work and treated myself to a pedicure in which I had my gels removed. My technician, I believe her name was Ming, was incredibly gentle and kind and did an amazing job. My only complaint however, was towards the end of my service when I was relaxing and reading while my polish was drying that I heard what sounded like a group of kids a few rooms away. They were pretty loud which completely would have ruined the experience had I not been on the tail end of my pedicure. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for the mother to tell her kid(s?) about spa etiquette. I don't pay for a spa experience to have children around, especially loud ones and I will definitely give pause to coming back to this location in the future because of this. read more

I've been here a couple times for waxing and facial massages. From time I'll have my brother or my parents come along. I'll call in no worries I get a spot. One time I came in, the lady didn't do a very good job at waxing my underarms. And I noticed until I got back home that there's still some hairs that haven't been waxed or plucked out. She did mention how my hair are very strong willed and maybe she got tired of wasting wax? -again I'm not mad. It happens, plus I have a discount so :)!! One of my problem is the availability is limited. It's seems they don't have enough staffs to help a group of 3, which is upsetting and annoying that one would have to come back an hour or so later. I don't know about nail service which seems like a lot of people go to. But the massages and anything else is amazing. People are nice, but once you sound like your customers are a lot of work that's when I get mad upset. read more

This is a review for 2 separate services. I received a tension relief massage from Alanah. I came in with the tightest neck due to stress and keyboarding all day long. She was supportive friendly and her energy was very calming. Her technique was spot-on. She knew exactly where to focus and with only 25 minutes she did an amazing job. I felt so much better after. Less tense and a lot more relaxed. Wonderful! Same visit, I also got a gel manicure from Heidi. Heidi was friendly and thoughtful (even putting sunscreen on my hands before putting them into the UV machines). She did a great job of shaping my nails exactly the way I like them (checking with me throughout to ask if I like it). I enjoyed her company and immediately got a sense of her expertise. I had an appointment Thursday and my nails started to chip on Friday! 6 out of 10 nails are almost bare. My technician missed part of my nail/didn't put on enough polish. She is quick and makes the experience as pain free and relaxing as possible. For years, I have been going out of my way to visit InSpa-Bellevue Square on a monthly basis for my waxing services with Natalie. InSpa-Redmond is closer to my home but my Natalie works at the Bellevue Square location; so I go to Bellevue Square. I despise malls and the horrible downtown Bellevue traffic (especially during the holiday season) to get to the mall but I suck it up and visit InSpa-Bellevue Square to see my Natalie. Natalie is quick and efficient, and she makes my wax experiences as painless as waxing services can be. In all of my years of seeing Natalie, she has recommended skincare products only when she recognizes a great need--both of which have done wonders for my skin; she doesn't try to up-sell. The icing on the cake is Emily and Melissa at the front desk. They always remember my name, the services I get, the length of time between my visits when making follow-up appointments, what's going on with my family, ... . The front desk staff is always cheerful, friendly, and helpful but I have to admit that I always look forward to seeing my Emily and my Melissa at my appointments. I love my girls. read more

Thought we would have excellent service, but the women doing the service did not listen to our requests, left us for long periods of time with no reason or explanation, and the nail trim was way too short on mine - not at all what I had expected. When I paid, two other women were at the desk and chatted with each other while I paid. No question about the service or how happy we were. Gel mani lasted 5 days. What was the point of paying more for gel when it doesn't even stay on!? She also cut my toe while doing the pedi. I know its not like she did it on purpose but it is far from relaxing. That toe is now infected because instead of stopping what she was doing to tend to the wound, she just crammed a bunch of stuff inside like lotion and nail polish remover. This place is tolerable, but the only reason I'd go would be if I had a gift card. For a $49 service, my pedicure was in a non-massage chair where I dipped my feet into lukewarm (downright chilled by the time my tech was rinsing off the sugar scrub) water. My tech was really nice, but I got about 10 seconds of sugar scrub on each foot/leg (this was one of the "upgrades" I paid for) and the little foot "heater" booty things weren't warm enough to really do much good after being all lotioned up. I did enjoy how long she spent with the pumice stone - that's a pretty important part of a pedicure, in my opinion, and she did a great job softening my feet. My toes look nice and everything, I just wouldn't return again. Especially when I can get a much more relaxing experience (with massage chairs, HOT water and a paraffin dip with a jetted foot spa) at a place much closer to home for $30. read more

They are so great at the Bellevue Square In-Spa. We had previously gone to the one in Factoria and it is like night and day. The chairs are so comfortable, the nail technicians are fabulous. It is a much better atmosphere. I live less than 5 minutes from Factoria, but the trip to Bell-Square team is worth it. From scheduling to services, they are wonderful. I received a gift card for InSpa and was super excited to use it. My mom and I went to get regular manicures. It started off wonderful and about half way through the manicurists instructed us to put on our jackets. They explained that after they paint our nails, the putting on of the jacket would ruin the polish. I asked about a dryer and they said they did not have one. We followed through and put on our winter coats. After the painting, I found sections of my nails that were not painted. I asked her to paint those sections and she happily did so. I guess I was just confused how they went unpainted to begin with. I went to pay up front and ruined two nails pulling out my card. By the time I got to my car almost every nail had impressions or chips. I'll be back to finish my gift card and that will be it. read more

Went in here for a shellac manicure. The quality of the manicure was exactly the same as the $30 shellac manures I get at the hole-in the wall nail places. I guess I expected this experience to feel more upscale for the extra money, but it was exactly the same right down to the end result, which looks fine but nothing special. The manicure technician didn't talk to me at all, and actually made my nails bleed in a few places from her aggressive cuticle cutting. She also messed up a few times and had to use nail polish remover to wipe my whole nail clean and start over. Finally- I feel cheated about this whole no-tipping policy. I had a gift card and thought "shoot! how will I tip now?", as I had no cash on me. Stressing, I told the front desk receptionist my situation and she assured me that it would be possible to tip on the gift card. I had no idea In-Spa had a no tipping policy, and never once did the front desk woman mention it during this my conversation with her about my worrying I wouldn't be able to tip. Come to find out later that they have a no tipping policy...really?? You would think that would be something you might want to mention. Yeah, that pisses me off... read more

Inspa is a little spa right inside Bellevue Square Mall, near Nordstrom. They have the no-tipping policy. I've been there a few times to get massage. Came here with my mom to get a pedicure before our trip. All the places we looked at were about the same price and I always wanted to try the place out. Our pedicures were good, I feel like they never rub your feet enough or as hard as you would like. This place is basically one step up from your cheap vietnamese chop shop. They do a decent job but they dont have the UV ray lamps to dry your nails so I recommend bringing open toed shoes otherwise you have to walk out the mall in those little foam sandals they give you. read more

Positives- convenient (good hours, easy parking, plenty of appointments, quiet, clean) MOST POSITIVE - Manager, Danielle, is so kind and customer service- oriented. Negative - I got a very bad reaction from an eyebrow wax. I have never had such a red mark on my face.... I don't know what it happened (no i had not been tanning, no I do not take any prescription acne meds- I filled out the whole survey... Not only has my skin been red for 3 days on one side... the individual who helped me was very nice and funny, but somewhat off-color, and hard to read. It made me a bit uncomfortable. When my brows were still red, several days later, I called and spoke to the manager, who was calm, thoughtful, and a great listener. She was not overly apologetic, but she was fair. I think that its a rare and excellent personality trait in a customer service person. If she is running the show- its got to be good. I think I had a bad one - off experience. It was extremely unpleasant!!! This is the worst salon I've been in. Please do not come to this location! You are wasting your time! I called and scheduled a manicure and pedicure (shellac) appointment yesterday. Lisa, the receptionist confirmed my schedule at 8:15pm to 9:30pm. Arrived on time and checked-in at the front desk. Waited for a few minutes for the person who'll be doing my mani and pedi. The night receptionist asked me to pay ahead. She said ~ I know it sound odd but I'll be closing at 9:30pm on the time when you're done with your service. Even though I've never had experience in my life to pay ahead before the service ~ I just did (I paid the sum total of $87.00 including a $20 tip). I understand as a young teenager you're very excited to go out on a Saturday night action. Finally, Mong came and showed me the colors they have. I showed her photos of manicure design that I want her to do. She said that she can't do those design because they don't have the equipment. Also ~ doing both shellac on my toes & hands would take a lot of time, and besides she had to go home at 9:30PM. She said she can only do a shellac manicure for me. I was not happy when she said that ~ I told her, I am scheduled for a manicure and pedicure not a manicure only appointment. When I spoke to Lisa (afternoon receptionist), she recommended you that you can do good designs and doing both won't be a problem. Her answers: our receptionist do not know anything ~ they do not know if we know how to do it or not ~ they are just a part time students who works on a few hours then leave ~ we have 2 to 3 receptionist every day. Mong, insisted she can only do one service either a manicure or pedicure because they're closing at 9:30PM. She keep on arguing and the night receptionist. To make the story short ~ I left the salon with no service at all. The receptionist refunded what I paid in advance. But this is not all about refund. I have my eyebrows waxed by Kelli and she is great. I definitely recommend her. You do not need to tip, it is not allowed, and even though you can get your waxing done at other places that are less expensive even with a tip it is worth it.
