Sometimes it can be so refreshing to shop small and not at a chain. I normally make espresso at home but my grinder is broken so I had a choice to get dunkin or ispresso. So glad I chose ispresso. Love this spot! Best friend introduced me to it and I have been going ever since. They have drip coffees and teas, as well as awesome little pastries to go with your drink. They feature artists and their work at times. There is a variety of seating available and they have a ton of books available for reading. My favorite spot is the single couch chair, it's so cozy! Definitely hope this place continues to stick around. Do try their chai tea latte iced and hot and pair it with madeline cookies! read more

This is more than a cafe. Artistic and entrepreneurial locals, families and random passerby come here for great coffee, food and a chill place to just create while sipping a latte or tea.The atmosphere is modern, relaxed and creative, as it doesn't just host artists and writers as patrons but adorns its walls with art itself. Every month the art switches up but the quality of customer service and taste(the red velvet cupcakes are to die for) never change. I love having this place in my community. read more

Their freshly brewed coffee and americano are awesome with taste and scent. The best tasting coffee from my opinion. There are so many different cafes in flushing and Ive been to every cafe in flushing, where I reside, and ispresso's americano far surpasses americanos from different cafes by both scent and taste. Must try their croissant as well as sandwiches, which are perfect in balance of different ingredients in them. read more

Surprisingly disappointed...Coffee was great but the pastry was hard and tasted old. I barely finished it. The decor was nice I would probably come here for a small study session or a small get together. I'll recommend you try something else that is not the pastry. I need to probably give this place another try but I was fairly disappointed. read more

I stumbled upon this place while taking advantage of the nice weather. I'm seriously in love with it! It wasn't huge/loud/dirty and the barista was really cool. The owner apparently supports the works of local artists and I think that's awesome. The next time I go back, I'll definitely inquire more about local galleries. read more

I love the coffee and food here, but unfortunately my experience with the staff has not been great. I find them not very welcoming, I went twice this week and both times I felt I was inconveniencing the staff when making an order. I also overheard on more than one occasion the staff giving off about customers just as they walked out. Not ideal really, for a place that has on the outset as a lovely energy. Perhaps some staff attitude training might go a long way in making it worth the $15 for a coffee and bagel otherwise I might just stick to dunkin' donuts where the service is about the same.... read more

Coffee is lousy and way too expensive and small cups. Not a big selection of food. You pay a lot for the chance to sit and sip your coffee. They do give coffee cards and the 10th one is free, but it used to be way better. Don't go there anymore. read more

Felt like I was in Seattle! Loved the ambience (think "Dwell" magazine) and variety of baked goods (I saw at least three different types of chocolate chip cookies.) Clean, bright, and wonderful communal tables/seating. I'm only giving iSpresso four stars because the staff wasn't very friendly (certainly not rude, just indifferent----but maybe they were having a bad day). Regardless, I will be back :) read more

I'll give credit where credit is due. There's not much "new wave" coffee shops in Union City/ West New York but I believe this is one of the firsts in the areas to open up and that's impressive. Finding coffee while on vacation here was a nightmare, I settled upon a lot of Cuban, Columbia, Salvadorian and other bakeries and restaurants for coffee but they would not ever satisfy my true REAL coffee crave. Ispresso is one of the first to use higher quality beans which to me means everything. They have a understanding of their product and the ways to incorporate them into a drink. Great! They have a quiet house and plenty of space to do your work or socialize. They currently use beans from a Brooklyn roaster which is almost local. These are things I look for when I find coffee and this place almost has it right. There's good product but still not the best of the best when it comes to coffee perfection! I appreciate this place for opening doors and hopefully they will continue to progress in the community and as a coffee house! I salute you, Ispresso. read more

I happened to stop by in the area and was looking to grab a cup of joe. I ended trying the latte which had the texture and taste of a quality brew you come to expect from smaller independent shops. Overall, I'd say the place is definitely worth a try if you happen to live or work nearby. read more
