Best pizza in Iriving! Always stop here...great Italian food too in the restaurant as well.

Went here for dinner last night on March 4, 2022. We sat in the outside patio area and the service was kind of slow and they were slow to bring us drinks and our menu but then after that we ordered and it was OK. I had the sausage appetizer and chicken cacciatore which was pretty good. I think their drinks were a little bit over priced for liquor but that's understandable given inflation. I would have given five stars but they need to be a little quicker on the service side of things. read more

Dinner with a dozen friends. I was in the mood for pizza and all of them wanted "meals" and not pizza..... Son-Of-A-Nutcracker. Not wanting to be the "Fat Guy" in the group and order my own pizza I opted for a Calzone. Well, the Calzone was almost a big as a pizza and I still looked like the "Fat Guy" in the group. It was a solid Calzone, plenty of sausage & cheese encased in a perfect pizza dough shell. And oh yeah the "Fat Guy" also sampled some of the garlic rolls, cut yourself some slack and order the garlic rolls. read more

I am so happy that there is a good Italian restaurant so close to my home! I always get the lasagna and it never disappoints!

I had the Stuffed Chicken & Grilled Shrimp and it was amazing. The creamy madeira wine sauce was excellent. The meal came with angel hair pasta covered in the sauce and sauted vegetables as sides. The price ($19) was extremely reasonable for the quality and taste. The portion size was also large. Highly recommended! read more

Service is great. Food is delicious. I have had pizza, cioppino, shrimp lemone, Caesar and Greek salad. All very tasty. I was visiting from out of town and ended up eating here twice out of my three night stay! Even recommended it to hold a team dinner, which the staff accommodated very well. We were a group of about 30 including kids. Everything came out on a timely manner and at once. No one had to wait for their food. Highly recommend this place! Enjoy! read more

We go out to dinner regularly and we are disappointed regularly, Italian Cafe was the exception. We were concerned about the parking but someone pulled out as we pulled in. Point! We walked in and were told to sit anywhere, which is always a bad sign, but they were busy and a table was available right where we were. The menus were brought right over, our drink orders were taken immediately, the waiter was extremely helpful with explaining the dishes and all during a busy time. The food came out piping hot and did I mention there would have been enough to share. We will be back. Con--the parking could be an issue, but the area is delightful and a little walk wouldn't hurt. read more

This area used to be my old stomping grounds. I used to come here at nights for drinks and it was the place to be. It's been years since then and now I work in this area. I made it a point to come by for lunch and it brings back good memories. The place is still up to date, good clientele, good menu and good vino. I remember everyone always used to say the food was good here but we never ate here. Now that I've been coming here for lunch I know what they were talking about! Fresh ingredients and everything is cooked to temperature. Good prices and friendly staff. They greet me every time I come in now. Stopped by with the kiddos after a long walk around Las Colinas to freshen up before walking back home. Food was pretty good and service was good, too. Parking is really the only issue you have to deal with (garage nearby short walk away) when you drive there. I've had their breadsticks. I REALLY like 'em! I'll have to do a more in depth review after me & hubby go on a date night - yes it's a good place for that. They also have an outdoor patio. I've heard/read the service for the patio is not as great, but I have yet to try that. So far...so good. read more

We have been ordering from this restaurant for a very long time. We order through Grubhub. On the Grubhub app we have always clicked "order again". Tonight's order was delivered incorrect and the restaurant said there is nothing they can or will do about it to satisfy the customer. Grubhub said apparently the order went through incorrect and they were unwilling to do anything about it either. My husband ended up eating a sandwich I had to make him because the order contained mussels which he is deathly allergic to. Will not support a restaurant who is unwilling to go the extra mile to offer superior customer service. Last chance for Grubhub also. Sorry ya'll both lost a customer! read more

Flavor of toppings and crust was amazing. Jist wish the toppings were evenly distributed around the pie instead of center heavy so the toppings wouldn't slide off when picking up a piece. Also, make sure to cut all the way through the crust. I had to recut. read more

This place was our local spot right around the corner from our apartment when we lived in las Colinas. We do try to go back as often as possible for great, affordable Italian food in the area. The lunch specials are really good and no real noticeable portion difference from dinner time meals. Favorite dinner dish is the pesto tortellini with the white sauce that it's made with. The seasoning in the sauce for that specific dish is really well done. I've also had the egg plant parmigiana which is a great vegetarian option as well and baked fresh. The calamari is very crispy yet tender and you get a big portion for the price. The bread knots that they bring to your table are also a great compliment to your meal. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star review is because the service can take a little longer then normal between the time you order and when you actually get your food at dinner time hours. Lunch is pretty quick every time we have been during those hours. We do have one server that we see every time and he remembers us and always come over and says hello which we thing is an added bonus to the service that we have received. read more

I the other reviews and I can understand how weird it is. It kind of throws me off how you order and there really is not anyone telling you how to do anything right at the door. So far I've been here 3 times & the staff has been wonderfully accommodating! The first night I ordered a Greek salad & the seafood trio, unfortunately they were out of shrimp & the calamari I found to be lacking in flavor. My bartender went to the kitchen & got me extra broth for the seafood & extra bread & FYI, they do their bread right! I hung around with a local or 2 taking shots & watching a free UFC fight card. The next day I came back after calling & checking that they have the NFL Sunday Ticket, which they don't, but the owner told the bartender that they did. So I sit down, order a beer & some pizza before finding out I can't see the debacle of a game my 49ers were currently playing against Seattle. The bartender generously comped my food & drink for the misunderstanding (to which I ordered an additional beer so I could leave her a generous tip). Day 3 in a row is today & the chicken cacciatore was unbelievably good! Like I can't even remember the last time I had chicken that was that good! I am from Europe Austria and was looking for a good Italian place wanting to taste What I used to eat. I have been to lot of different Italian restaurant and I end up going to Irving. This Italian Cafe has a taste very close to what I used to eat when I lived in Europe over 10 years, also specially when I ate Pasta with closed eye and I felt that I was back in Italy trip. Food was very delicious and portion of the food was so much that I got to-go boxes and I enjoyed next day too. I went with my friend and got Calamari, Caesar Salad, Cioppino, Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Meat ball Spaghetti, Chicken pasta, Stuffed Pizza, Margherita Pizza, and Supreme Pizza. I can guarantee that any Pizza or Pasta you get, it will taste as good as you get from Italy. Also this restaurant is right next to Lake Carolyn which was so pretty to walk before/after eating delicious Italian food and also has option to eat from Gondola tour. Italian Cafe is a pretty good little place and an excellent value for the neighborhood. They have an excellent selection of Italian foods and serve everything pretty quickly, even during their busiest times, like their lunch rushes. Since moving to the area a few months ago, I have been in about 15 times now (no joking!) and can vouch for their consistency, friendliness, and cleanliness. The place is an exercise in efficiency as they handle the line of people that comes here for lunches everyday. They have several pizza and salad items (their heaviest sellers) already lined up and ready to go, but they can handle the special orders pretty quickly as well. They also keep the tables clean no matter how busy they are so that their incoming customers always have a place to sit, something that I appreciate greatly! If you live in, work in, or visit the 114 & O'Connor area in Irving, I suggest you give them a try sometime! read more

If you don't go to Las Colinas often, you may be overlooking a nice couple of blocks of Las Colinas Blvd. A few nice restaurants dot the street alongside a lake. Apartments are being built like crazy. It's almost like you've been transplanted to a different town...when I'm there, I don't feel like I'm in the Dallas area at all. The Italian Cafe is one of those restaurants. Nice location. It has kind of a neighborhood feel to it. Most importantly, it has real good food and service as well. It was such a nice day, we opted to sit outside in their nice sized outdoor seating area. You can get a good look at all of the car and foot traffic along LC Blvd. The inside dining area is pretty dark...really go outside unless it's 100 degrees or snowing. Our waitress was great as well. We ordered and began to wait on our meal. I ordered the wheat capellini with roasted veggies. The salad that came along with our meals was hardly a salad at all. It was basically some lettuce with a couple of slices of tomato on top. Something just to tide you over until your meal came I guess. There was a basket of bread as well, but I didn't have any. It looked real good though! Finally my meal came out, but it was wrong. They had put cheese on top that had started to melt in the pasta. I saw this and told the waitress, she apologized and immediately took it back. I can't express enough how good the service was. Every place will make mistakes sometimes, but it's how you handle it that counts. They handled it perfectly. Even though I was the only one waiting for food, it came rather quickly. I wasn't upset at all...I was still pleased with my visit. The capellini was cooked perfectly. The veggies were seasoned well and covered in olive oil and basil. Really filling and refreshing on a spring-like day. If you're in the neighborhood on a nice day, stop by, grab a seat outside and enjoy! read more

Holy cow I am so happy we stumbled upon this place! With not a ton of options to eat in the area this Italian Cafe was a hidden gem. The staff here is friendly and great. The menu is HUGE but all options were seemingly good. My pasta trio plate was enough for two people...it came with lasagna, ravioli, and chicken canoli. Did I mention it was only $11!? Also, my full glass of house red wine was only $5. The costs alone impressed me...but the overall flavor was good! Meals come with salad and this ridiculously good bread. We were so hungry we asked for two baskets. It was baked fresh and friggin delicious. I would highly recommend this place. 1-star reviews are my bag, baby. However, Italian Cafe more than deserves this treatment. To begin, the service is god awful and atrocious. We were greeting by a punk chick with pink hair that evidently loathed life every moment being there--all over her face. She took our order, ten minutes passed and she slammed a large plastic bag of take-out on the counter about fifteen feet due North, and simply pointed at the food. No words were utter...just a point. By George! If I hadn't looked up as she slammed the bag, we wouldn't have known the food was ready. Thoughts?? Precisely. As far as the food is concerned, a lot is left to be desired. By the time we arrived home, my tummy was "hangry". Even in that state, the food was "poosings". My lasagna was littered with at least an entire whole onion, the caesar salad was watered down, which prevented the dressing from taking hold, and the garlic knots were hard, lifeless and cold.
