I stopped in here to grab some takeout before an evening class. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and extremely compassionate with offers of assistance since I am visibly disabled. The food is absolutely delicious. I purchased a salad, their chicken/vegetable soup, and spaghetti with meat sauce. The portions are enough for lunch tomorrow and came with delicious garlic knots. Came here for the first time and the food I got was good but service was kinda slow. We sat on the patio and I ordered a calzone with pepperoni. The calzone is large and was at a good cost. The patio was hot even though they had fans going and it took a while for our waiter to come to our table at times; I wanted to order another meal to take home but I had to order the food to-go from their online website because it took so long for our waiter to come back to our table. A rather strange experience. While vacationing we like to hit up as many local spots as we can. After dinner at another place we wanted to go get dessert and coffee. I had this on my list of places to visit. We came in on Wednesday 4/4/18 about 7:30 pm and had a rather odd experience. The restaurant had a nice patio and dining room. In the front of the restaurant it's setup like a cafeteria where you grab a tray, look through the glass and point to what you want to purchase. Keep walking around gathering up food until you reach the register and then pay. We ordered a Cannoli $3.75 and a Latte $3.00. Total with tax $7.58. We had our cannoli on our tray and were told they would bring out our latte when it was ready. Now for the strange part... Where do we sit? The dining room was setup like a regular restaurant and not like a cafeteria. We were met by a host who asked how many and then sat us at a table. A server came by with silverware, menus and a greeting only to see we already had dessert and seemed really confused. We mentioned how we already ordered at the front and was just waiting on our latte. A few moments later another guy comes to our table and tells us that the espresso machine was broken and he didn't know until just now. He then offered us coffee as a substitute. He said there was free refills on the coffee but since we were not being treated as dining customers by our server we were never offered a refill. There was only a few other people in the dining room so the wait staff didn't have much to do other than loiter around the host station snacking on food and sipping on their drinks. I made a comment to my wife that their behavior was not appropriate. I was bothered by the fact that I had paid for a latte but received a coffee. I know it was only $.50 but that still should have automatically been offered back as a refund. As we were leaving I asked the cashier about getting a refund of $.50. Wow! Getting that $.50 back was not as easy as it should have been. The cannoli was tasty, the coffee was not. Our overall experience was rather strange to say the least. read more

We came in for an afternoon coffee and cannoli. The experience was odd. The cannoli was fine, the coffee was good, but the process of ordering seemed more complicated than it needed to be. And I'm pretty sure the guy overcharged us for the coffee. We ordered at the counter then went to find a table. While we were there eating and drinking, several of the employees were just standing around with nothing to do. Ordered via Grubhub and I'm glad I did! Portions were HUGE for the price and the quality of the food was really great. The Antipasto Misto salad came with some nice garlic bread, and the Spinach and Artichoke dip showed up piping hot and delicious. I will definitely be ordering again. Came to town for my sons wedding and was deciding on a place for 17 people. An old friend that lives here in las Colinas suggested the Italian Cafe. I called and asked if it was possible and 15 minutes later we were sitting. Service was only surpassed by the food. The staff was amazing and the food came out fast and hot. Huge turn of events. This is Las Colinas best kept secret for original hot wings. They are delicious! As far as 10 Buffalo chicken wings, the best in the area. Chefs special chicken is good. It is their suggested dish. Beef lasagna is also good. Bar is ran very well. Clean, attentive, selection, and social bartenders are all in order. Italian Cafe used to be my favorite restaurant when I lived in the area. i havent been in quite awhile but decided to drive over for dinner. Many changes have occurred. Enclosed patio is very nice. However every dish I previously ate there has been removed from the menu. They replaced the fabulous bread they used to serve. I did not especially care for the new bread. I ordered cheese ravioli for my entree. The Tomato sauce and ricotta cheese were huge disappointment, very bland. I ordered two meatballs on the side. While they were good, they cost $8. My bill was $40 for cheese ravioli, 2 meatballs and tea. I would not mind paying that if my dinner was fabulous, but since it was below average I won't be back. So disappointed. read more

My mom & Myself really do enjoy the pizza from this shop. We're from New York so we like our pizza a certain way & every time we eat her it's kind of like a reminder of home. My personal favorite is the stuffed pizza fills me up good with only a slice or two my mom just always gets plain cheese pizza. The nice people that work here are very welcoming & after doing business with them they've become more like friends. Not only that, but they know how to bring out a smile from a person! My family and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. We live nearby and if I ever don't feel like cooking we order from here. The food is always hot and fresh. My faves are the Chicken Alfredo (plus mushrooms), the pizza, and the Salmon and Shrimp dish. My husband is obsessed with the Tiramisu. My very picky 6 year old would eat the Spaghetti and Meatballs everyday if I would let him. They have great seating outside and the staff is always very friendly. If I ever walk my dog over with me to pick up dinner they always wave at us outside and bring our food right out. Yummy food, great service. This is in walking distance from my work and now home since I moved to the area a year ago and I have worked in the area over 5 years. The food is delicious and lunch is affordable here. I have my fave dishes the Florentine Chicken Madeira!! Always friendly service and this is a meal d size for lace that can get packed quickly. I love the outside patio on a nice day . Bad pizza and bad customer service. My family and I wanted to order pizza from a local business last night and decided to try the Italian cafe. We first called to order the pizza but they told us that if we wanted to do that, we had to go online. I don't understand why I couldn't just order the pizza on the phone. After ordering pizza/salad/spaghetti/garlic bread we waited over an hour for it to arrive when we live only 5 minutes away in the apartments near by. When they called to say they were here, they were extremely rude to my wife and said if we didn't come down right away, they would send the driver back put us in line behind 2 other people and would take longer. I think they just didn't want to come to our apartment like every other delivery service does. The pizza was underdone and cold so we had to throw it in our oven for 10 minutes, the spaghetti was cold, and the garlic bread was stale. The overall taste of everything was very bland. I would not order it first based on their customer service and second on a very subpar selection of food. read more

I can't say enough good things about my recent experience with Italian Cafe. The service, the kindness, the food, the prices and the whole experience far exceeded excellent. Hari of Italian Cafe commented on my last review a few weeks ago so I've had it on my to do list to drop in a visit them again soon. My team worked late this week so I needed to order dinner for 9 people unexpectedly and I needed it delivered because I was very busy. It was cold and rainy out. So I called Hari because Italian Cafe is close to my office and because he was so friendly in our last Yelp communication. He was such a pleasure to do business with. He agreed to not only have the 9 orders ready on time but also agreed to deliver. I was very thankful for this gesture. The food was above and beyond excellent. My team loved every bite. It was hot and fresh and Hari even threw in a pan of hot bread for us to enjoy. I'm stuck on their sausage, peppers and onions dish. I love their marinara sauce atop angel hair pasta and their house dressing is incredibly flavorful. I will be sure to visit this place every chance I get.
