We made a reservation for six and noted we'd need a high chair and would have a stroller four days in advance. Staff seemed surprised when we arrived with a stroller. There was no high chair, and we were told the stroller couldn't be near the table due to server traffic. That's reasonable, but without a proper place for our baby to sit or eat, she cried, tried to walk around, and had to be held the entire time. It was partially my fault for booking a "communal" table instead of a kitchen table. Service throughout felt cold--not overtly rude, but a bit snooty/distant. They charged us for a birthday dessert. Itria is located right next to the 24th Street BART station, which can be a corner with sketchy activity and a busy bus stop. But once inside, the ambiance is beautiful--great lighting, quiet, and surprisingly peaceful. The food was good. Unfortunately, the limited hospitality for families made the night feel less warm/celebratory. If I could try every item from the raw bar I would but the chef's selection was the next best thing - this had the scallops, amberjack, and tuna. It was easy to make a reservation onljne, we were able to find parking a few blocks away in a residential area. The ambiance is cozy and dark, but not too quiet. We ordered a bottle of wine but they said they didn't have a chilled bottle yet, so they poured us a complimentary half-glass each of a similar wine while they put our bottle in the blast chiller which was appreciated! The food was all quite good, the raw tasting plate was a nice contrast to the pastas. The pastas we all had great flavor, definitely on the saltier side though. Would suggest following their recommendation of sharing the pastas family-style, as eating a whole pasta dish by yourself would feel very heavy. They were constantly hounding us about time frame, even though we were within the time given. Telling us about it is one thing but be friendly about it. They made it sound like we were inconveniencing them by even arriving for dinner to begin with. My suggestion to the owner is to do a staffing refresh from the server to the hostess. Would have made the experience a thousand times better to have someone helping us who was just nice and would have been on par for the wonderful food experience. Food: Hokkaido Scallops: well balanced, refreshing starter! The preserved lemons definitely stand out in a nice way for the dish, balancing the mildly sweet scallops. Moreover, I love the added crunch from the sea beans and toppings Agnolotti: a must order - frankly maybe order multiple per table! The sauce is savory and has a great depth of flavor from the hen of the woods and corn, pairing perfectly with the agnolotti which were filled with a creamy, slightly sweet filling that had a nice touch of orange zest (?) Tria E Funghi - this pasta had a great sauce that I loved dipping my focaccia in. If you're a mushroom fan, definitely worth the try. Spaghetti (Sea Urchin) - this was good but also disappointing in some ways. It honestly reminded me of vodka pasta but jazzed up a bit. Sadly, I couldn't get much of the sea urchin which was disappointing Malfadine - the pasta shape was the best part; however, the sauce was ordinary/not very memorable. I probably would skip this one next time I come back. Rosemary Focaccia - definitely order this to try the garlic anchovy oil (delicious) or to soak up some extra pasta sauce Frankly, I'm not really a big pasta fan, but this place is definitely worth visiting and coming back for (the Agnolotti was sooooo good). BEST (new) Italian restaurant in town! Flour+Water better watch out! I have not been blown away by a new restaurant in a while and Itria did for sure. The tomato and homemade stracciatella is a MUST! I know tomatoes are in season right now and every restaurant has it but Itrari should get an award just for this dish alone. We also tried 2 different pastas and they were both delicious. The cacio e uvo is seriously the BEST pasta I've ever had including in Italy. I'm still dreaming about it! 1st timer at Itria, I really enjoyed it. I was looking for something hearty with lots of flavor and got just that. - The rosemary focaccia with anchovy oil was tasty, bread was soft, sweet and salty. Great portion for two. - The pappardelle pasta with beef cheek with pancetta was SO GOOD. The beef was tender, pancetta salty and tender. Noodles perfect, and a great portion for one. - I wish I had a picture of the affogato because I loved it. it was sweet with a crunchy topping that tied in all the flavors. Overall. The crudo trio of Hokkaido scallops, amberjack and striped beam were delicious. The cencioni with mushroom was perfect, savory and creamy but not excessively. The chocolate budino to end was perfect, not too sweet but just hits the spot. I would bring a friend back here. Here's what you need to know - order the Hokkaido scallops, the broccoli di ciccio, and the tagliatelle ragu pasta. You cannot go wrong with these dishes. The scallops are melt in your mouth, the broccoli may have changed my life (the stracciatella cheese was SO good), and the pasta was cooked perfectly with a delicious beef stroganoff/french onion tasting sauce. Also the focaccia with garlic anchovy oil is to die for! I personally think you can skip the amberjack and tuna. I was excited about the mafaldine but it was too peppery for me. We came here for girl's night. They were good with accommodating an extra guest last minute. The restaurant is definitely located in a rough neighborhood. I recommend getting an Uber or carpooling with others. We were seated pretty late for our 7:30 pm seating at 8 pm. The table before us was lingering after their tasting menu. We ended getting the tasting menu also. If I could redo it, I wouldn't recommend the tasting menu. It's just too much food. I feel like at that price point, you could get a bunch of things and just share. I thought the crudos were all very well done. I wasn't a fan of the pastas. My favorite of the night was the dessert -- panna cotta. There was also a homeless gentleman jerking off in the front of the glass entrance, which we sat right next to! The staff handled it very professionally, but it kind of ruined the overall experience. All in all, a very mixed dining experience. Came back to Itria last night to celebrate our friends birthday and once again.. they did not disappoint! Their menu is constantly rotating which is great because there's always something we to try, but if you find something you like there's a chance it may not be there the following week . The dishes are on the smaller side so they recommend ordering 6-7 items for 3 people and that's pretty much what we got! We started with oysters (which were so good that we had to add another order), the scallops and the tuna tartar. Ranking wise, the oysters were the best, then the scallops and then the tuna. The tuna was good but the flavor didn't stand out as much as the other two. For our mains, we each ordered the same pasta - three orders of the Malloreddus with sausage ragu.. SO GOOD! The pasta is always cooked consistently to the perfect amount of Al dente. For dessert we ended with the creme fraiche panna cotta, also highly recommend. Oh yeah! And we can't forget about the drinks! We all started with the yuzu spritz which was really good! Then we opted for a less sweet option and switched to a couple glasses of the Pinot noir blend. My husband and I went to Itria on a Thursday evening right at opening with no reservation. Although we were sat quickly, the hostess mentioned we would need to give up our table in about an hour, which was no problem for us. However, I noticed they had available reservations for two so I asked if it would be preferable for me to book one of the open reservations, to which she said "you could" as she walked away from us. Given I was trying to help everyone out in this situation, I found it rude and dismissive for her to respond in this way, hence the one star removed from my overall review. Otherwise, the our server was friendly and the food was amazing. We ordered the tasting of three crudos, focaccia, mafaldine cacio e pepe, and agnolotti, as well as a bottle of wine. The restaurant has a warm vibe and is pretty spacious with a lot of seating, including a bar and communal table. The servers have the vibe of a high level of emotional intelligence and also they like their job and were remaining calm in a busy environment. we were on time, but our table wasn't ready so they gave us free drinks and a half hour later, we sat at the bar instead of a table. ok truly wanted to like this place i am going to recount for yall everything, top 2 bottom, as it occurred. i have a reservation with a date for 8:15. i show up at 8:10-- there is no one at the host stand! after about 5 minutes they notice me and let me know they will be with me. not that big of a deal. they will not seat me at my table until my date gets there (even though we have a table reserved). ok ok that's the restaurants policy. also not a big deal! they let me sit at the bar but don't bring me a menu or take my drink order. my date gets there a few min later. then we are waiting together at the bar for them to seat us; we are not seated at our table until 8:35! we order two of the tasting menus and two yuzu fizzes. at this point im rlly hoping the food is amazing. amuse bouche was chill-- salty and potatoey as soon as the seafood hit the table, i knew something was off. fishy odor! oysters were FISHY and SMALL and doused in the mignonette. scallops weren't sweet. some of the fish (the bass) in the first appetizer literally tasted like cheese. amberjack with pomegranate was good. tuna not great tartare was good smoked octopus rigatoni was good; smoked ock tasted kind of like ham and was interesting the next pasta; maybe orecchiette? with mushroom. good the next pasta was my fav; a stuffed oxtail moment with a parm cream. tasty dessert was whatever; kind of a chocolate pudding vibe with a crumbly crumb hazelnut number on top. not changing lives yuzu fizz (drink) was tasty and sweet overall: if u are going to spend this amount of $$ on a tasting menu, i think it did not meet expectations. im writing bc i know ppl would treat this as a special occasion spot to take loved ones or bday dinners, but i wouldnt do it. you aren't going to be treated that well and the food will be mostly just ok with a bright spot here and there. read more

Went to Itria with a couple of coworker friends on a Friday night which we had rsvp'd about a week prior. The restaurant ambiance had an upscale vibe with low lighting, but was very loud inside. We were seated promptly and our server(s) answered our questions and accommodated dietary restrictions. The food menu listed a chef's tasting menu at $90 per person (price subject to change) with a choice to opt in the wine pairing, as well as dishes you can order individually. The tasting menu consist of crudo (in Italian cuisine, it means "raw") starters, pasta dishes, and a dessert. Two of us opt for the tasting menu without the wine and one opt to order a la carte. The tasting menu may seem like it isn't much food since the crudo are mainly small bites, but the pasta will fill you before you know it. We were served 6 different crudo (all small bites), 3 pasta dishes, and we finished off with the panna cotta for dessert - per person. The a la carte dishes ordered were the asparagus, (another) pasta dish, and a side of rosemary foccacia bread. I could not remember the names of the dishes served to us as the servers were explaining because it was THAT loud inside. But nonetheless, every dish we ate was excellent. The foccacia was super yummy. In fact, I don't think I've had pasta this exceptionally delicious in a long time, I really stuffed myself silly and still squeezed in the dessert. Hahaha... Now the total cost. When you fine dine, you really can't w(h)ine. There is a certain standard and expectation one looks forward to and it is generally reflected on their service provided, the ambiance, the presentation of the dishes served. There was one big table in the back of the restaurant, so you can definitely bring larger parties here. The bathroom was clean as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. For the crudo, I ordered the scallops which tasted a little too lemony. However, the texture combination of the scallops and the chips were nice. From to start menu, I ordered the crispy potatos which was packed with a bunch of unique flavors I wasn't used to. It tasted fresh and had that basil type of taste. I ordered the Cacio E Uova and the Orrecchiette. I really liked the sauce on the orecchiette since it was packed with flavor. The pasta was al dente and you can tell how good the quality was. As a dairy free diner, I was excited about the crudo options. Me and my friends decided to give Itria a try for our girls night out. It's a modern Italian restaurant with a seasonal menu. The ambiance is very young and hip. For appetizers we ordered their razor clams, crispy pork belly, forinata, and rosemary focaccia. Starting off with the razor clams. They were served with crispy potato and smoked potato espuma. I would rate this dish a 3/5. The crispy potato was the best part about this dish. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and the moment you bite into it, it's soft and fluffy. While eating this dish it was hard to spot out the clams. The potato espuma overpowered the taste of clams. I didn't see any clams until I looked very closely at the dish. Next the crispy pork. This dish included smoked dates, arrowhead cabbage, and black cabbage. I rate this 2/5. The skin was very crunchy, but other than that the pork was SO FATTY! Majority of the meat was fat. After taking a bite it made me feel guilty eating something that fatty. The fat was very overwhelming. The rosemary focaccia with garlic anchovy oil was my favorite dish of the night. This dish came out at the end of our meal rather than with the rest of the appetizers. I rate this a 4/5. The bread was slightly toasted and after dipping it in the oil the flavor was very rich. Lastly, for the appetizers we got the farinata, slow cooked egg, snap pea, and ricotta salata. 3/5. This appetizer was lacking a bit of salt. The crust was soft and flimsy. If the crust was a little thicker and crunchier it would've tasted better. Now for the entrees. I ordered the papppardelle, braised duck, and picketed tart cherries. This was my best pasta dish after trying my friends. I would rate it a 4.5/5. The pasta was good but it didn't wow me. My friend ordered gramigna pasta which reminded me of spaghetti-o's. The last pasta I tried was the casoncelli, ricotta, green garlic pesto, with toasted pistachio's. This dish was unique for its green sauce but it terms of flavor it was a no for me. It tasted very floral. Overall opinion, they had great customer service. The servers were very attentive, constantly came to check up, and kept refilling our waters. The crudos were bursting with flavor, but the portion size was somewhat laughable. The octopus was a decent size and super soft. The pastas had the perfect chew and the flavors were very rich. Have been wanting to try Itria for forever and was able to get a reservation for my birthday. It's a cute spot nestled in the Mission with dark, ambient lighting. Good for an intimate moment. We were seated immediately after arriving. What really stands out about Itria is how attentive all the employees are. From the start to end of our experience, we had just about 4 people who took the care to help us out -- getting our order, refreshing our plates, topping off our wine, etc. Massive shoutout to Itria staff, you really know how to make a girl feel special. They recommend ordering 2-3 dishes per person as we did. My friend and I ordered the hokkaido scallops, brussels di ciccio, mafaldine, cencioni, and rosemary focaccia to share. Absolutely go the family style route to try all the delicious items from Itria. I loved starting off with a raw bite. The scallops had a creamyness cut with a tarte taste from the preserved lemon. Really enjoyed how the nduja paired with the ricotta salata of the brussels -- unique mix of spicy and cheesy. The pastas here are really the star of this place. Mafaldine shape was so fun to eat and was surprisingly light. Do not skip out on the cencioni, absolutely unreal mushroom flavor in the sugo. And definitely do not skip out on order focaccia to dip into your pasta sauce. Finally, we ended the night with the chocolate budino which came out with a candle for my birthday! The chocolate was immensely rich and smooth. Unlike anything I had before. The crushed hazelnuts really remind me of a Kinder Egg. Loved it here and most definitely need to come back! read more

Fall 2025 pastas hit it out of the park! 10/10 and service is efficient and food is always consistently excellent!

Overall this place is great great food, great wine pairings. Nice ambiance with good music. The staff was friendly and nice. Ordered the chef's tasting menu and we enjoyed every dish and the wine pairings. The Crudo we had did not disappoint it was all very flavorful and refreshing. One thing I will say I never had tomatoes like this. The half tomato slices were so good different the poppers added the extra flare and crunch not your traditional capers. First pasta dish the Agnolotti with the wine pairing was so good it literally elevated the dish this is my first time experiencing a dish with wine pairing that is 10/10 it was perfect. 2nd pasta dish not on the menu was very flavorful and lemony the wine pairing was good 8/10. This dish I inhaled, it was refreshing and tasty second' please!!! 3rd pasta rigatoni (no photo) was rich and flavorful we just devoured it. The wine is easy to drink it is simple yet cuts through the pasta and pairs well together. For dessert we had panna cotta, butterscotch flavor not to sweet and just right. The dessert wine pairing went really well with it, enhancing the flavor. read more
