(Only 2 but it still makes it a bit difficult) It's doable- but lots of moms make these decisions based on these types of details. Another patron helped us with the stairs on the way down. I said service and food was fine; both average. Nothing above nothing below. Totally fine. We asked for two high chairs and were told there was only one. I said ok we have two babies, & that was the whole conversation. it was fine we managed. If the owner has a toddler I would assume she's been to coffee with a friend and appreciated the cafe having more than one seating option for the babies. No one said anything about borrowing from Bacari.

I think I've tried half of the menu here lol. My go to is definitely the New York roll and the mango passion fruit cruffin. I love that they change their New York roll flavours often. What really stood out for me was how well balanced the flavours are in their fillings, especially in the New York roll and the cruffin. They also do really well with their citrus combos like the cruffin, exotic or the mango eclair. I wish there was more custard in their fruit danish and sometimes the croissants aren't as soft, possibly a little overcooked. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.

Luckily because it was a Sunday, we found parking right in from r of the store. From the outside and inside it truly has the Parisian patisserie vibe and feeling, which I love! Once we got inside, we were mesmerized by all the beautiful and delicious looking pastries and dessert options. I also love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. We decided to sit inside, one because it was way too hot, and secondly there was this aggressive homeless man who threw a chair towards the glass window of the patisserie. That was scary! The girls working there were aware of this, because apparently he's done this a few times, where he's thrown their outdoor furniture around, so they called 911 immediately, so hopefully that won't be an issue for them in the future! Luckily no one was harmed and no glass was broken, and the psychotic man was far gone. My friend and I decided to get two different desserts. I got the pavlova, and which is one of my favorites. I love the creamy and crunch meringue and the combination of the tart berry filling inside. My friend loves peanuts, so she got the dessert that looked like a peanut, which she loved! The two girls working there were really sweet and offered us a free croissant as a compensation for the momentary chaos caused by the aggressive homeless man, which my friend and I truly appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience here, and I'd definitely come back to try some of their other desserts!

My husband fell in love with them in Portugal and he's been craving them ever since we got home. I'm happy to say that the pastéis de nada at Natas Pastries are just as delicious as the ones we had in Portugal. Their other breakfast food was delicious as well. I had the All American Breakfast, and the potatoes were incredible! My husband had the Breakfast Burrito with linguiça, and he loved it! We sat outside on the patio, which is a lovely place to enjoy a meal, and all of the staff was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu, as well as more pastéis de nada!

It's usually hard to find a bakery that is still open after 6 pm. I decided to try a variety of pastries and ordered an apple strudel, chocolate covered peanut butter bar and a large chocolate chip cookie. They had a very wide selection to choose from. My daughter ordered a lemon bar, slice of lemon cake and a small chocolate chip cookie. My first impression of the desserts that I chose was that they were sweet. I could feel the graininess of the sugar in the chocolate covered peanut butter bar. The strudel was tasty but light on the apple filling. Between the chocolate chips and sugar the cookie was sweeter than what I usually like but still a good cookie. I tried my daughter's lemon bar and I liked it. The things I tried I'm thinking 3 stars, my daughter liked the things she bought so averaging it out maybe a solid 3.5 stars rounded up to a generous 4 stars. Service was okay. Natas has a wide variety of pastries. I think the other items on the menu are more well received. I'll need to go back next time I am in town to try out some of other menu items.

While the flavor variety is awesome and they don't skimp on fillings, man are these cakes typically dry and a little dense. Had the tropical coconut pineapple cake for a friend's retirement party in December and while the price of a small cake is steep, it was very good. I was impressed! Another friend and I debated what the best berry and cream cake was. I said WholeFoods. She said SusieCakes. We taste tested. We both stood our ground on our opinions. Last weekend,I had the strawberry cake at a birthday party and it was very dry and dense. And the baby's "smash cake" never really got any deeper than the frosting layer, which leads me to believe it was also dense. While I was doing my friend the favor of picking up said birthday cakes, I noticed the pineapple coconut was back in season, so I came to SusieCakes the next day to get a slice. Very friendly staff! But very dry cake. So disappointing after paying ten dollars for a slice. Overall, the vibes are always good. The flavors are great. But the texture is just not it.

They use Onyx (from what i noticed), and the sound of the milk being steamed sounded silky (-: ! The layout of the cafe is nice: entry/line formation moves in a counter clockwise motion. Allows customers to enter space and wait in line while leaving space for people to exit/ wait to pick up their drink. First come, first serve for pastries - expect this for freshness purposes. Drink and their components are measured for consistency and quality control. Wait is subjective in relation to volume at the time which you go. Came in at about 1:30 PM on a Sunday (today was 8/16). Curated menu for their specialty drinks that aligns with their identity. Standard menu for espresso based beverages. Great selection for their Single Origin menu. Roasters they use align with those they highlight on their shelves for retail as a multi-roaster cafe. Ordered a Columbia from Hydrangea - enjoyed thoroughly! When it was still quite hot you get the heavy aroma and flavor of the pastry notes in the coffee. Then more tea-like once it cools down more. Coldbrew in the Woodman did not feel like your typical bold-in-flavor base. Which I think works for the inclusions in the beverage. Not your typical/second wave coffee shop. It's cool to see shops want to bridge that gap between fun drinks and specialty coffee! Kudos to Lynx!

It was 7:58 a.m., and I stopped in to grab my usual coffee before my appointment next door. I accidentally left my wallet at home, my Apple Pay wasn't working, and the only cash I had was a $100 bill. My total was only $8.50. I even offered a simple solution--I asked if another employee could pay for my coffee and I would immediately Zelle them the money. All three employees told me that was "beyond their job duties" and refused to help. Instead, they pointed to the sign stating they don't accept $100 bills and had me leave without making any effort to accommodate a regular customer. The disappointing part isn't that they couldn't break a $100 bill--it's that no one showed even the slightest willingness to help find a solution. I come here almost every Friday because I have appointments at the salon next door, and after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. A little kindness and customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, I found neither here.

Loyal Customer, but This Experience May Have Lost My Business…read more I've been a loyal customer of 85°C Bakery Cafe in Sherman Oaks for quite some time and buy virtually all of my baked goods here, so it's disappointing to write this review. Yesterday August 6th was my dad's 99th birthday, and I wanted to make it special. At around 10 a.m., I ordered his birthday cake through the app for a 4 p.m. pickup and used the customization option to request "Happy Birthday" writing on the cake. I arrived around 4:30 p.m. and initially there was no one at the counter. I could see an employee off to the side drinking a coffee. He saw me waiting but didn't acknowledge me and instead went to the back and sent out another employee. From the moment she came out, the interaction was surprisingly unpleasant. I explained that I was picking up the birthday cake I had ordered that morning and gave her my name. She retrieved the box and then abruptly asked, "Where's your confirmation?" I explained that I wasn't sure what she needed because I only had the email I received. I showed it to her, and after looking at it for quite a while, she said "fine" and pushed the cake box toward me. I asked whether the Happy Birthday message I requested was on the cake. She said no and that the person who does the writing wasn't there. I explained that I had placed the order that morning specifically for my dad's 99th birthday and really wanted the birthday message included. I showed my request on the order email. Instead of trying to resolve it, she began helping other customers while I was left standing there. After waiting and explaining that I was already late for my dad's birthday, she eventually went to the back, returned with a small chocolate "Happy Birthday" piece, and placed it on top of the box. That solution was perfectly fine with me--I just wish it had been handled graciously from the beginning. I then asked for a cake cutter and candles, which employees here have routinely offered with cake purchases in the past. Again, I was ignored while other customers were helped. When I repeated that I was late and needed to leave, she rolled her eyes and told me to wait until she was finished with another customer. Eventually she brought them over and simply piled everything on top of the cake box rather than putting the items in a bag. Everyone can have a bad day, and I try to be understanding of that. But the dismissive attitude, eye rolling, repeatedly ignoring me in the middle of our interaction, and general lack of courtesy were unacceptable. What should have been a simple and happy pickup for my dad's 99th birthday became unnecessarily stressful and put a real damper on my afternoon. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I wasn't an occasional customer--I've been very loyal to this bakery. I love the baked goods and have consistently chosen 85°C over other bakeries. But customer service matters too, and after this experience I'm seriously considering finding another bakery for our family's cakes and baked goods.
